This paper considers the rail crane scheduling problem which is defined as determining the sequence of loading/unloading container on/from a freight train. The objective is to minimize the weighted sum of the range of order completion time and makespan. The range of order completion time implies the difference between the maximum of completion time and minimum of start time of each customer order consisting of jobs. Makespan refers to the time when all the jobs are completed. In a rail freight terminal, logistics firms as a customer wish to reduce the range of their order completion time. To develop a methodology for the crane scheduling, we formulate the problem as a mixed integer program and develop three metaheuristics, namely, genetic algorithm, simulated annealing, and tabu search. To validate the effectiveness of heuristic algorithms, computational experiments are done based on a set of real life data. Results of the experiments show that heuristic algorithms give good solutions for small-size and large-size problems in terms of solution quality and computation time.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze service occupation types and to develop training programs for the aged. Methods: This study used descriptive study design. The research process consisted of three stages: first, identified the demand of service manpower for the aged; second, investigated present jobs and education programs in Korea and Japan; and last, developed service jobs and education programs for the aged. Results: Potential users considered "health management" to be the most important area. They thought "providing job" as second most important. According to the result of analyzing Korean policies, there were 9 service occupations in 5domains. So, we derived 10 occupations such as 'daily living manager', 'care manager', 'care worker', 'health manager', 'education specialist', 'leisure manager', 'good manager', 'housing manager', 'financial specialist' and 'retirement consultant' in 5domains as healthcare, leisure, goods, housing and finance. Finally, we developed their tailored training programs. Conclusion: According to this study, there should be various occupations qualified by the government, and training programs should be settled. And healthcare providers must included in developing standardized training programs.

This study aims to establish the indicator system of the quality of life of rural residents and to estimate the weights among criteria or sub-criteria that constitute the indicator system of the quality of life using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. Indicator system consists of four criteria, that is, health care, eduction & culture, living environment, and income and jobs. Each criterion include three sub-criteria that make up corresponding criterion. The results show that income and jobs was most highly evaluated among the four criteria. It was followed by health care, living environment, and eduction & culture. Among the total 12 sub-criteria, annual income was most highly evaluated, followed by medical service level, job satisfaction, and public transportation environment in terms of global weight which was deduced from expert questionnaire survey. This study implies that rural development policy needs to focus on increasing rural residents' income by creating good quality occupations and increasing the level of medical services, and expanding public transportation services in rural areas. This study has failed to collect local residents' opinions regarding their quality of life in spite of the efforts to reflect the opinions from various expert groups, which is the limitation of this study.

This article analyzes the formative factors of the basic job skills(also the ability of computer using) and the economic effects of the basic job skills in Korea. This article uses the ALL(Adult Literacy and Life Skills) 2005 data in Korea. The factors which form the basic job skills are school years, father's education. Women are under men in the ability of computer using. The older a man grow, the more basic job skills he has, but the less ability of computer using he has. The employees in office worker or new service industry have more using computer ability than them in sales worker or manufacture industry. The wage effects of the basic job skills are insignificant, and the economic effects of basic job skills appear apparently in the entry into the good jobs. As the basic job skills can play a important role to enter into the good jobs, the policy agenda should make deal with the methods and programs through which the people without basic job skills must have the opportunities to get a lifelong learning for the basic job skills.

This study is concerned with a job sequencing method using the concept of sampling technique. This sampling technique has never been applied to develop the scheduling algorithms. The most job sequencing algorithms have been developed to determine the best or good solution under the special conditions. Thus, it is not only very difficult, but also taken too much time to develop the appropriate job schedules that satisfy the complex work conditions. The application areas of these algorithms are also very narrow. Under these circumstances it is very desirable to develop a simple job sequencing method which can produce the good solution with the short tine period under any complex work conditions. It is called a sampling job sequencing method in this study. This study is to examine the selection of the good job sequence of 1%-5% upper group by the sampling method. The result shows that there is the set of 0.5%-5% job sequence group which has to same amount of performance measure with the optimal job sequence in the case of experiment of 2/n/F/F max. This indicates that the sampling job sequencing method is a useful job sequencing method to find the optimal or good job sequence with a little effort and time consuming. The results of ANOVA show that the two factors, number of jobs and the range of processing time are the significant factors for determining the job sequence at $\alpha$=0.01. This study is extended to 3 machines to machines job shop problems further.

Uniform shows the kinds of companies and forms of jobs and it makes the people who is putting on the uniform feel the sense of unity a security of one's position and the companion-ship and also it gives him a sense of responsi-bility and elevates the efficiency of tasks. It is required to be designed for a uniformity and it can contribute in the increase of work ef-ficiency and help the company get the good results of the management by inspiring the workers with conceit and belongingnesses. The purpose of this study is as the followings 1) Through the practical survey we analyze workers' staffs' and consumers' preference of uniform design 2) We analyze the fashion trend for 97/98 A./W 3) We present each uniform design for seven different types of company on the basis of 1) (design preference) and 2)(fashion trends).

The aim of study is to suggest the improvement of the major curriculum used in the department of furniture design in two-year colleges. For this purpose two processes were conducted step by step. The first phase was to evaluate the jobs selected by job analysis specialist and staffs in charge in July 2009, and to analyze what are the desired points for the good adaptability and business improvement in case that student would find job in relevant field after graduating from colleges. Furniture design coordinator hereupon was selected as the object and DACUM (Developing A CurriculUM) was applied to the method of job analysis. In the second process conducted from September 2009 to October 2010, the customized curriculum based on the result from the first phase was newly opened to help student create any design result. This study was composed of the result of job analysis, the customized curriculum based on it and the research of efficiency through the end result and finally the discussion how to improve the customized education for the future. It is no doubt very important process for the step up of quality of college education, the improvement of students' competence and their good adaptability after finding jobs. This study should lay the foundation of different job analysis and the customized curriculums accordingly for not only furniture design coordinator, also for various furniture design-related jobs, and furthermore it should be expected that the continuous research and development contributes to the realization of college education to raise excellent students.

The employment prospects of graduates in the Library and Information academic has largely concentrated in the field of librarianship as well as the curriculum of the academic itself. Since there are limitations in increasing the number of libraries and the available posts in the librarianship, the full-time jobs in the field are also limited. Even for the available posts in the field of librarianship, the majority is in contract based posts which does not guarantee a good working environment. The purpose of this research is to make policy implications to improve the employment rates of librarians. The main research methods include literature review of the previous studies and available statistical data, and a questionnaire targeting students and librarians. The targeting policy implications can be categorized into 4 factors, including, as supply side, improvements in the qualification of librarian certificate, in training for librarians, and as demand side, laws on library employment, and improvement of library services for co-operatives. There are 15 detailed strategies to support the 4 factors. For the improvement of strategies in library related laws, the following elements will be considered; supporting system for temporary jobs, the title of librarian post and the library itself, and librarian placement criteria in terms of its realization and mandatory, and obligations in library evaluation. The Council discussions propose the expansion of librarian award system, provision of information systems for librarian jobs, and developments in promotional materials and their deployment for librarians.

This paper is to examine philosophy of Jurye(周禮, national rituals) described on GyeongJeMunGam and GyeongJeMunGamByeolJip. As it is widely known, Sambong Jeong Do-Jeon (三峯 鄭道傳), regardless of evaluation by posterity, is definitely a figure who established 500 years of Joseon with almost everything handled by his own hands from presenting founding principle of Joseon to organizing the bureaucratic system. In the third year of King Taejo (1394) with Jurye as an ideological model for social innovation, Jeong Do-Jeon wrote Joseongyeonggukjeon and offered it to the king. Joseongyeonggukjeon is a sort of guide for new codes written by Jeong Do-Jeon as a part of defining culture and institutions of the new dynasty, which is based on Confucianism, the ruling idea of the new dynasty. GyeongJeMunGam supplements the section ChiJeon(治典: Articles for Governing) of JoSeonGyeongGukJeon(the first constitution of Joseon Dynasty) mainly to specify the duties and jobs of the prime minister; and also the duties and jobs of the highest secretaries of the kings, and provincial and county governors, whereas GyeongJeMunGamByeolJip consists of the section GunDo specifying the duties and jobs of the kings and the section Euiron additionally explaining about the kings' duties and jobs in the viewpoint of the philosophy of the Book of Change. That is, GyeongJeMunGam finely describes not only the changes, advantages and disadvantages of prime minister system of every dynasty of China and Korea but also the prime minister's duties/jobs and attitude for kings; and it also specifies the duties and jobs of the kings' highest secretaries, guards, provincial and county governors; on the other hand, GyeongJeMunGamByeolJip says that the king should play the symbolic figure setting their mind in right ways and train themselves with virtue through the idea of GunJuSuShin (君主修身: ) to point out a good and capable prime minister and make him govern the country without using their power fully.

In order to improve the quality of life and support the successful living of the elderly people in rural community, the Senior Well-being Villages Project has been carried out by Rural Development Administration since 2005 in Korea. This timely project, however, produces good results with 582 villages so far, we must endeavor to upgrade it more effectively. This study is to find complementary way of improving the project, and the results of the study are summarized as follows. First of all, the sustainable and practical strategies of the health care for the rural elderly must be adopted. The elderly people's mutual care system can be a good option for improving the existing project. Secondly, the cooperative heath care system must combine with this project. In this regards, health cooperative federation system can be also a challenging option. The beneficially activity of rural elderly people, which is a component of this project, must be linked with rural social enterprise or community venture. The local experts or capable men of various fields including family, the aged problem, social welfare, and regional development, must be appointed, and the support system enables them to do their jobs actively in the Senior Well-being Villages Project as well as other community works.
