  • In this paper, we establish coupled fixed point theorems for mixed monotone mappings satisfying nonlinear contraction involving a pair of altering distance functions in ordered G-metric spaces. Via presented theorems we extend and generalize the results of Harjani et al. [J. Harjani, B. L$\acute{o}$pez and K. Sadarangani, Fixed point theorems for mixed monotone operators and applications to integral equations, Nonlinear Anal. 74 (2011) 1749-1760] and Choudhury and Maity [B.S. Choudhury and P. Maity, Coupled fixed point results in generalized metric spaces. Math. Comput. Model. 54 (2011), 73-79].

  • In this paper, we introduce the Berger type deformed Sasaki metric on the cotangent bundle T*M over an anti-paraKähler manifold (M, 𝜑, g) as a new natural metric with respect to g non-rigid on T*M. Firstly, we investigate the Levi-Civita connection of this metric. Secondly, we study the curvature tensor and also we characterize the scalar curvature.

  • In this work, we define the concept of a mixed G-monotone mapping on a modular metric space endowed with a graph, and prove some fixed point theorems for this new class of mappings. Results of this paper extend coupled fixed point theorems from partially ordered metric spaces into the modular metric spaces endowed with a graph. An example is presented to illustrate the new result.

  • Using the concept of a g-monotone mapping we prove some common fixed point theorems for g-non-decreasing mappings which satisfy some generalized nonlinear contractions in partially ordered complete quasi b-metric spaces. The new theorems are generalizations of very recent fixed point theorems due to L. Ciric, N. Cakic, M. Rojovic, and J. S. Ume, [Monotone generalized nonlinear contractions in partailly ordered metric spaces, Fixed Point Theory Appl. (2008), article, ID-131294] and R. P. Agarwal, M. A. El-Gebeily, and D. O'Regan [Generalized contractions in partially ordered metric spaces, Appl. Anal. 87 (2008), 1-8].

  • In modern times, coupled fixed point theorems have been rigorously studied by many researchers in the milieu of partially ordered G-metric spaces using different contractive conditions. In this note, some coupled fixed point theorems using mixed monotone property in partially ordered G-metric spaces are obtained. Furthermore some theorems by omitting the completeness on the space and continuity conditions on function, are obtained. Our results partially generalize some existing results in the present literature. To exemplify our results and to distinguish them from the existing ones, we equip the article with suitable examples.

  • A Kenmotsu manifold $M^n({\phi},\;{\xi},\;{\eta},\;g)$, (n = 2m + 1 > 3) is called a generalized ${\phi}-recurrent$ if its curvature tensor R satisfies $${\phi}^2(({\nabla}_wR)(X,Y)Z)=A(W)R(X,Y)Z+B(W)G(X,Y)Z$$ for all $X,\;Y,\;Z,\;W{\in}{\chi}(M)$, where ${\nabla}$ denotes the operator of covariant differentiation with respect to the metric g, i.e. ${\nabla}$ is the Riemannian connection, A, B are non-vanishing 1-forms and G is given by G(X, Y)Z = g(Y, Z)X - g(X, Z)Y. In particular, if A = 0 = B then the manifold is called a ${\phi}-symmetric$. Now, a Kenmotsu manifold $M^n({\phi},\;{\xi},\;{\eta},\;g)$, (n = 2m + 1 > 3) is said to be generalized ${\phi}-Ricci$ recurrent if it satisfies $${\phi}^2(({\nabla}_wQ)(Y))=A(X)QY+B(X)Y$$ for any vector field $X,\;Y{\in}{\chi}(M)$, where Q is the Ricci operator, i.e., g(QX, Y) = S(X, Y) for all X, Y. In this paper, we study generalized ${\phi}-recurrent$ and generalized ${\phi}-Ricci$ recurrent Kenmotsu manifolds with respect to quarter-symmetric metric connection and obtain a necessary and sufficient condition of a generalized ${\phi}-recurrent$ Kenmotsu manifold with respect to quarter symmetric metric connection to be generalized Ricci recurrent Kenmotsu manifold with respect to quarter symmetric metric connection.

  • In this paper, a pair of ω-compatible self mappings in the setting of modular G-metric space is defined. We prove the existence and uniqueness of common fixed point of pairs of ω-compatible self mappings in a G-complete modular G-metric space. Furthermore, we give an example to justify our claims. The results established in this paper extend, improve, generalize and complement some existing results in literature.

  • In this paper, we study the relations between the Thurston metric and the hyperbolic metric on a closed surface of genus $g{\geq}2$. We show a rigidity result which says if there is an inequality between the marked length spectra of these two metrics, then they are isotopic. We obtain some inequalities on length comparisons between these metrics. Besides, we show certain distance distortions under conformal graftings, with respect to the $Teichm{\ddot{u}}ller$ metric, the length spectrum metric and Thurston's asymmetric metrics.

  • In this paper, we study the strong metric dimension of zero-divisor graph ${\Gamma}(R)$ associated to a ring R. This is done by transforming the problem into a more well-known problem of finding the vertex cover number ${\alpha}(G)$ of a strong resolving graph $G_{sr}$. We find the strong metric dimension of zero-divisor graphs of the ring ${\mathbb{Z}}_n$ of integers modulo n and the ring of Gaussian integers ${\mathbb{Z}}_n$[i] modulo n. We obtain the bounds for strong metric dimension of zero-divisor graphs and we also discuss the strong metric dimension of the Cartesian product of graphs.

  • In this paper, we get a complete condition for a group homomorphism of a compact Lie group with an arbitrarily given left invariant Riemannian metric into another Lie group with a left invariant metric to be a harmonic map, and then obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for a group homomorphism of (SU(2), g) with a left invariant metric g into the Heisenberg group (H, $h_0$) to be a harmonic map.
