  • The purpose of this paper is to establish a strong convergence of an implicit iteration process with errors to a common fixed point for a finite family of continuous strongly pseudocontractive mappings. The results presented in this paper extend and improve the corresponding results of References [2, 6, 11-12].

  • In this paper, we prove a strong convergence theorem for a common fixed point of two relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space by using the modified Ishikawa iteration method. Our results improved and extend the corresponding results announced by many others.

  • The aim of this paper is to prove convergence of implicit iteration process to a common fixed point for a finite family of strong successive $\Phi$-pseudocontractive mappings. The results presented in this paper extend and improve the corresponding results of S. S. Chang [On the convergence of implicit iteration process with error for a finite family of asymptotically nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 313(2006), 273-283], M. O.   • In this paper, we introduce an iteration generated by countable nonexpansive mappings and prove a weak convergence theorem which is connected with the feasibility problem. This result is used to solve the problem of finding a solution of the countable convex inequality system and the problem of finding a common fixed point for a commuting countable family of nonexpansive mappings.

  • The matrix equation $X^p+A^*XA=Q$ has been studied to find the positive definite solution in several researches. In this paper, we consider fixed-point iteration and Newton's method for finding the matrix p-th root. From these two considerations, we will use the Newton-Schulz algorithm (N.S.A). We will show the residual relation and the local convergence of the fixed-point iteration. The local convergence guarantees the convergence of N.S.A. We also show numerical experiments and easily check that the N.S. algorithm reduce the CPU-time significantly.

  • We study one-step iteration process to approximate common fixed points of two nonexpansive mappings and prove some convergence theorems in convex metric spaces. Using the so-called condition (A'), the convergence of iteratively defined sequences in a uniformly convex metric space is also obtained.

  • In this paper, we construct an iteration scheme involving a hybrid pair of nonexpansive mappings and utilize the same to prove some convergence theorems. In process, we remove a restricted condition (called end-point condition) in Sokhuma and Kaewkhao's results [Sokhuma and Kaewkhao, Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2010, Art. ID 618767, 9 pp.].

  • The aim of this paper is to introduce a new iterative process and show that our iteration scheme is faster than other existing iteration schemes with the help of numerical examples. Next, we have established convergence and stability results for the approximation of fixed points of the contractive-like mapping in the framework of uniformly convex Banach space. In addition, we have established some convergence results for the approximation of the fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping.

  • In this article, we define Picard's three-step iteration process for the approximation of fixed points of Zamfirescu operators in an arbitrary Banach space. We prove a convergence result for Zamfirescu operator using the proposed iteration process. Further, we prove that Picard's three-step iteration process is almost T-stable and converges faster than all the known and leading iteration processes. To support our results, we furnish an illustrative numerical example. Finally, we apply the proposed iteration process to approximate the solution of a mixed Volterra-Fredholm functional nonlinear integral equation.
