This paper deals with the stress singularity induced at the interface corner between the viscoelastic thin film and the rigid substrate subjected to the combined influence of temperature change and moisture absorption. A boundary element analysis is employed to investigate the behavior of interface stresses. The film is assumed to be thermorheologically simple. It is further assumed that moisture effects are analogous to thermal effects. Numerical results are presented for a given viscoelastic model, indicating the singular residual stresses induced during cooling down from the curing temperature, and how they can be altered by subsequent moisture absorption at room temperature.
Interfacial stress singularity induced in an analysis model consisting of the polymeric thin film and the elastic substrate has been investigated using the boundary element method. The interfacial singular stresses between the viscoelastic thin film and the elastic substrate subjected to a uniform moisture ingression are investigated for the case of a small interfacial edge crack. It is assumed that moisture effects are assumed to be analogous to thermal effects. Then, the overall stress intensity factor for the case of a small interfacial edge crack is computed. The numerical procedure does not permit calculation of the limiting case for which the edge crack length vanishes.
In this paper, we proposed and implemented defect detection methods of polarized film with half-wave phase retardation plates. We investigated the principles of phase retardation compensation and optical principle of half-wave phase retardation plates. We analyzed of samples of polarized film with half-wave phase retardation plates. The optical defect detection methods are proposed and the performance is validated with experiments.
Characteristics of thin-film NTC thermal sensors fabricated by micromachining technology were studied as a function of the thickness of membrane. The overall-structure of thermal sensor has a form of Au/Ti/NTC/$SiO_{X}$/(100)Si. NTC film of $Mn_{1.5}CoNi_{0.5}O_{4}$ with 0.5 mm in thickness was deposited on $SiO_{X}$ layer (1.2 mm) by PLD (pulsed laser deposition) and annealed at 873-1073 K in air for 1 hour. Au(200 nm)/Ti(100 nm) electrode was coated on NTC film by dc sputtering. By the results of microstructure, X-ray and NTC analysis, post-annealed NTC films at 973 K for 1 hour showed the best characteristics as NTC thermal sensing film. In order to reduce the thermal mass and thermal time constant of sensor, the sensing element was built-up on a thin membrane with the thickness of 20-65 mm. Sensors with thin sensing membrane showed the good detecting characteristics.

Effects of thermal contact resistance between heater and susceptor, susceptor and graphite board in a MOCVD reactor on temperature distribution and film growth rate were analyzed. One-dimensional thermal resistance model considering thermal contact resistance and heat transfer area was made up at first to find the temperature drop at the surface of graphite board. This one-dimensional model predicted the temperature drop of 18K at the board surface. Temperature distribution of a reactor wall from the three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics analysis including the gap at the wafer position showed the temperature drop of 20K. Film growth rates of InP and GaAs were predicted using computational fluid dynamics technique with chemical reaction model. Temperature distribution from the three-dimensional heat transfer calculation was used as a thermal boundary condition to the film growth rate simulations. Temperature drop due to the thermal contact resistance affected to the GaAs film growth a little but not to the InP film growth.
In this study, we have investigated the structural and electrical characteristics of IZO thin films deposited under hydrogen atmosphere on flexible substrate for the OLED (organic light emitting diodes) devices. For this purpose, PES was used for flexible substrate and IZO thin films were deposited by RF magnetron sputtering under hydrogen ambient gases (Ar, $Ar+H^2$) at room temperature. In order to investigate the influences of the hydrogen, the flow rate of hydrogen in argon mixing gas has been changed from 0.1sccm to 0.5sccm. All the samples show amorphous structure regardless of flow rate. The electrical resistivity of IZO films increased with increasing flow rate of $H^2$ under $Ar+H^2$. All the films showed the average transmittance over 85% in the visible range. The OLED device was fabricated with different IZO electrodes made by configuration of IZO/$\acute{a}$-NPD/DPVB/$Alq_3$/LiF/Al to elucidate the performance of IZO substrate. OLED devices with the amorphous-IZO (a-IZO) anode film show good current density-voltage-luminance characteristics. This suggests that flat surface roughness and low electrical resistivity of a-IZO anode film lead to more efficient anode material in OLED devices.
In this study, we have studied the effect of substrate temperature and hydrogen flow rate on the characteristics of MZO thin films for the TCO(Transparent conducting oxide). MZO thin films were deposited by RF magnetron sputtering at room temperature and $100^{\circ}C$ with various $H_2$ flow rate(1sccm~4sccm). In order to investigate the effect of hydrogen gas flow rate on the MZo thin film, we experimented with changing the hydrogen in argon mixing gas flow rate from 1.0sccm to 4.0sccm. MZO thin films deposited at room temperature and $100^{\circ}C$ show crystalline structure having (002), (103) preferential orientation. The electrical resistivity of the MZO films deposited at $100^{\circ}C$ was lower than that of the MZO film deposited at room temperature. The decrease of electrical resistivity with increasing substrate temperature was interpreted in terms of the increase of the charge carrier mobility and carrier concentration which seems to be due to the oxygen vacancy generated by the reducing atmosphere in the gas. The average transmittance of the MZO films deposited at room temperature and $100^{\circ}C$ with various hydrogen gas flow was more than 80%.
We have investigated the effect of the substrate temperature and hydrogen flow rate on the characteristics of IGZO thin films for the TCO (transparent conducting oxide). For this purpose, IGZO thin films were deposited by RF magnetron sputtering at room temperature and 300℃ with various H2 flow rate. Experiments were carried out while varying the hydrogen gas flow rate from 0sccm to 1.0sccm in order to see how the hydrogen gas affects the IGZO thin films. IGZO thin films deposited at room temperature and 300℃ showed amorphous. The lowest resistivity value was 0.379×10-5 Ωcm when the IGZO film was deposited at 300℃ and set up at 1.0sccm. As the oxygen vacancy rate increased, the resistivity intended to decrease. In conclusion, Oxygen vacancy affects the IGZO thin film's electrical characteristic.

As the oxygen vacancy rate decreased, the resistivity intended to increase. In conclusion, Oxygen vacancy affects the IGZO thin film's electrical characteristic.
Hydrogen ($H_2$) treatment using a two-step $TiO_2$ nanotube (TONT) film was performed under various annealing temperatures from $350^{\circ}C$ to $550^{\circ}C$ and significantly influenced the extent of hydrogen treatment in the film. Compared with pure TONT films, the hydrogen-treated TONT (H:TONT) film showed substantial improvement of material features from structural, optical and electronic aspects. In particular, the extent of enhancement was remarkable with increasing annealing temperature. Light absorption by the H:TONT film extended toward the visible region, which was attributable to the formation of sub-band-gap states between the conduction and valence bands, resulting from oxygen vacancies due to the $H_2$ treatment. This increased donor concentration about 1.5 times higher and improved electrical conductivity of the TONT films. Based on these analyses and results, photoelectrochemical (PEC) performance was evaluated and showed that the H:TONT film prepared at $550^{\circ}C$ exhibited optimal PEC performance. Approximately twice higher photocurrent density of 0.967 $mA/cm^2$ at 0.32 V vs. NHE was achieved for the H:TONT film ($550^{\circ}C$) versus 0.43 $mA/cm^2$ for the pure TONT film. Moreover, the solar-to-hydrogen efficiency (STH, ${\eta}$) of the H:TONT film was 0.95%, whereas a 0.52% STH efficiency was acquired for the TONT film. These results demonstrate that hydrogen treatment of TONT film is a simple and effective tool to enhance PEC performance with modifying the properties of the original material.
