유치원 수학과 교육과정과 초등학교 수학과 교육과정의 연계성 분석 연구 (An Analysis of the Connection in the Mathematics Curriculums Between Kindergarten and Elementary School)

  • 본 연구는 유치원 교육과정과 초등학교 수학과 교육과정의 개발에서 두 교육과정을 연계시키는데 도움을 줄 수 있는 시사점을 찾고자, 5세 누리과정과 이에 따른 교사용 지도서의 수학 지도 내용, 그리고 현행 초등학교 1학년 수학과 교육과정 및 그에 따른 교과서의 지도 내용 사이의 연계성을 분석한 것이다. 그 결과 다음의 여섯 가지 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 도형 영역의'공간적 관계'나 확률과 통계 영역의 '자료 수집'과 같이, 5세 누리과정에서 완성되고 있는 내용을 1학년 교육과정과 연계시킬 필요가 있다. 둘째, 5세 누리과정과 1학년 교육과정이 연계되지는 않지만, 2~6학년 교육과정이 연계되는 경우, 어느 한 교육과정을 기준으로 위계를 재조정할 필요가 있다. 셋째, $\ll$K-지도서$\gg$가 5세 누리과정을 준수하고 있는 지 검토할 필요가 있다. 넷째, $\ll$K-지도서$\gg$의 각 [활동]에서 5세 누리과정 관련 요소와 초등학교 교육과정 관련을 재검토할 필요가 있다. 다섯째, $\ll$K-지도서$\gg$의 각 [활동]에서 수학 지도 내용을 명시적이고 체계적으로 취급할 필요가 있다. 여섯째, 교육과정 개발에서 유아수학교육 전문가와 초등수학교육 전문가 사이의 협업 체제가 마련될 필요가 있다.

제 7차 영어과 교육과정의 새로운 교육 방향 (The new direction of the 7th English curriculum)

  • The purposes of the present study were to give the new direction of teaching English based on the 7th English curriculum, and to show some useful insights on English teaching in the 21st century. The 7th English curriculum was developed in two parts: as a required subject and as an elective subject. As a required subject, the English curriculum applies to the third grade of elementary school through to the first grade of high school. The elective subject of the English curriculum applies to the second and third grades of high school. In the 7th curriculum reform, a proficiency-based language program will be applied in the form of intensive and supplementary courses at the same levels irrespective of differences based on students' abilities, schools and regions. Linguistic functions, communicative functions, subject matters are included in the content area in language organization. Limiting the length of sentences is applied at elementary school only and is not applied at higher levels.

초등학교 교과과정에 나타나는 지역공공시설 유형에 관한 연구 - 서울시 마을결합형학교 지역체험활동을 위한 - (Research on the Types of Regional Public Facilities that appear in the Elementary School Curriculum - For Seoul Village-Coupled School Regional Experiential Activity -)

  • Not only the education that follows the school curriculum but also the education that cultivates practical abilities, such as creative experiential activity, is becoming more and more important in the elementary education in order to accept the social demand about the change in the educational environment. Among these movements, 'village-coupled school' has been carried forward as a policy of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education since 2016, and it is operating various programs to establish the educational cooperation system of schools and villages. Particularly, each office of education is publishing the 'village resource sourcebook' and introducing the student experiential programs of public facilities that are located at each region in order to enable the experiencing of experiential activities that utilized educational resources of the region. However, the standard or basis about the composition of the regional experiential learning curriculum is currently missing. Regarding the operation of the regional experiential learning, it seems that the school curriculum and associated facility experience or others would mutually increase the educational synergy effect. This research is a proposal to increase the educational effect of regional experiential learning. In the aspect of the experience at a public facility located in the region, it aims at analyzing the use, characteristic, and others of public facilities that appear in the elementary school textbook and propose the base data of the composition of the experiential activity program related to the curriculum.

초등학교 과학 교육과정에 현대 물리 도입 가능성 탐색 (Exploring the Possibility of Introducing Modern Physics into Elementary School Science Curriculum)

  • 본 연구에서는 초등학교 과학 교육과정에 현대 물리 내용을 도입하는 것의 가능성을 논의하였다. 초등학생에게 현대 물리를 지도하는 것이 왜 필요한지 현대 물리 도입의 필요성을 논의하였고, 실제로 초등학생에게 현대 물리를 지도한 외국의 사례와 연구 결과를 살펴보았다. 그리고 구체적으로 우리나라 초등학교 과학 교육과정에 현대 물리를 도입하기 위한 몇 가지 방안을 제안하였다. 현대 물리는 학생이 경험하는 다양한 일상적 상황과 연계될 수 있으며, 학생들이 배우고 싶은 내용으로서 과학에 대한 흥미와 호기심을 높일 수 있다. 또한, 아직 고전적 자연관이 굳어지지 않은 초등학생에게 현대 물리를 도입하면 새로운 자연관 형성을 도울 수 있다. 최근 현대 물리를 초등 수준에 도입하기 위한 해외의 몇몇 프로젝트에서도 학생의 이해와 흥미 증가에 관한 긍정적인 결과를 보고하고 있다. 연구자들은 초등학생 수준에서 이해가 가능할 것으로 생각하는 몇 가지 주제에 대해 구체적인 내용수준과 지도방안을 간략하게 제안하였다. 이러한 제안은 후속 연구를 통해 적절한 자료개발과 경험적이고 실증적인 연구를 통해 그 가능성과 효과가 입증되어야 하지만 현대 물리 도입 가능성에 대한 논의를 진전시킬 것으로 기대한다.

초등 수준 지질학 용어의 시대적 변천과 의미 탐색 (A Study on the Changes and Meanings of Geological Terminologies for Elementary School Science Level)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the geological terms used in the elementary school science curriculums from 1876 to present. We collected the data of geological terminologies based on what is being used in the revised 2007 national curriculum. In this study, data was divided into three periods according to political events, "The Modern Enlightenment Period (1876~1910)", "The Japanese Colonial Period (1910~1945)", and "The Current Curriculum Period (1945~present)". During the early modern enlightenment period, translated Chinese characters' terminologies by western scholars in Qing-China were used in science books. The late modern enlightenment period, we used many translated Japanese textbooks in schools, which naturally introduced the way that Japan's terminology is used. In the Japanese colonial period, Korean students had to study science subjects written in Japanese characters, so they had used Japanese terminologies of science. After the liberation of Korea from the Imperial Japan, there was an efforts to make new Korean terminologies of geology under the new current national curriculum. However, the terminologies used in Korean textbooks ended up using and borrowing the same way that the Japanese-Sino terms of science used later.

교육과정 변화에 따른 초등 정보교육 연구 동향 분석 (Analysis of Research Trends in Elementary Information Education According to Changes in Curriculum)

  • 교육과정 내에서 컴퓨터와 관련된 내용은 1987년 발표된 5차 교육과정에서부터 제시되어 왔으며, 현재 적용되고 있는 2015 개정 교육과정의 실과 교육과정에는 기존의 ICT 관련 내용에서 SW관련 내용으로 변경되어 구성되어 있다. 이처럼 시대적, 사회적 요구에 따라 교육과정을 개정하기 위해서는 관련 연구가 선행될 필요가 있다. 초등학교 정보교육에 대한 연구는 주로 한국정보교육학회에서 이루어지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 정보교육학회논문을 바탕으로 교육과정의 변화 시기별 학회의 연구 동향을 분석하고자 한다. 분석을 위해 논문 전체에 대한 초록 데이터를 한국학술지인용색인(KCI)에서 웹 크롤링 기법을 통해 수집하였으며, 시기별 동향 분석을 위해 토픽 모델링 기법을 적용하였다. 연구 결과 정보화와 관련 연구에서부터 프로그래밍 교육, 사고력 교육에 이르기까지 교육과정의 변화와 유사한 연구 동향의 변화를 보여주고 있으며, 학회의 연구가 교육과정의 변화에 선행하고 있음을 살펴볼 수 있었다.

한국 2009 개정 초등 과학과 교육과정과 미국 초등 과학과 교육과정 비교분석 - 3~4학년군 지구와 우주영역을 중심으로 - (A Comparative Study of Elementary Science Curriculum between Korea and USA - Focusing on Earth and Space Domain of Third and Fourth Grades -)

  • The purpose of this paper was to analyze the characteristics of Korean science curriculum and the differences with the other country. For this purpose, the USA was selected as the target country for comparison. The comparison focused on goals and contents in science curriculum document. The goals for science education in both countries were similar. But the goal setting level was different. Also, four objectives were suggested in Korean curriculum and nine objectives in the USA to achieve the general objective. Korean curriculum was composed of such grades system as 3rd & 4th grades, 5th & 6th grades and content area as 'materials and energy', 'life and the earth' in content system. And the USA composed in the such grade system as K, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Also the elements to be learned is suggested in the strand. And in the area of the earth and space in the Korean Curriculum, there are elements emphasized in the content area, cognitive area, context category and practical activities learning objective category. But the USA covered most of those elements evenly. Korean curriculum focused on learning of certain elements in certain grades, but the USA curriculum is to learn several elements evenly in every grade. It will be future topics of research to investigate the effect of curriculum with different emphasis of improving students' scientific knowledge and learning through further study.

2009 개정 과학교육과정에 따른 초등학교 과학 교과서의 읽기자료 분석 (Analysis of the Reading Materials in Elementary School Science Textbooks developed under the 2009 Revised National Science Curriculum)

  • In this study, the characteristics of the reading materials in elementary school science textbooks developed under the 2009 revised National Science Curriculum were investigated. The criteria for classifying the reading materials were the types of topic, purpose, students' activity, and presentation. The visual images in the reading materials were also analyzed from the viewpoint of type, role, caption type, and proximity type. The results indicated that the number of the reading materials in the 2009 revised science textbooks decreased compared to that of the 2007 revised science textbooks. It was also found that the frequencies of the reading materials expanding concepts of the text and/or requiring corresponding students' inquiry increased. More visual images were used in the reading materials of the 2009 revised science textbooks. However, several limitations were still found to exist; most visual images were illustration and/or picture; many visual images were presented without a caption; there was a problem in the proximity of visual image to text.

초등학교 과학과 '전기회로' 단원 수업에서 겪는 교사와 학생의 어려움 분석 (An Analysis of Teachers and Students' Difficulties in the Classes on 'Electric Circuit' Unit of Elementary School Science Curriculum)

  • The purpose of this study is to survey and analyze difficulties in teaching and learning elementary school science on the chapter titled 'electric circuit'. 28 elementary school teachers who teach 5th grade science and 73 5th grade students in elementary school were taken part in this survey. The pilot questionnaire was distributed to find out both the degree and the reason of difficulties in teaching and learning. The answers are analyzed with four areas to extract elements which make class difficult; Learner factors (L), Instruction factors (I), Curriculum & textbooks factors (C), and Environment factors (E). The results are as follows. (1) It can be seen that both students and teachers feel the highest difficulty in 7th lesson 'the direction of current', while they felt little difficulty in lesson 3 'conductor and nonconductor' and lesson 8 'the safety of electricity'. (2) The most mentioned reason of difficulties in teaching and learning was Learner factors (L). (3) Teachers felt many difficulties in experimental environment. On the other hands, students didn't think experimental failures as serious trouble. (4) Students felt many difficulties in new terms and hazy concepts or expressions. (5) Teachers felt a lot of difficulties in those from Curriculum & textbooks factors.

  • There has being developed elementary mathematics textbooks currently based on the 2015 revised mathematics curriculum. Vocabularies used in mathematics textbooks are mainly determined by the authors to develop textbooks. The purpose of this study was to investigate the adequacy of elementary school mathematics textbooks based on the unit structure and vocabulary, and to provide implications for elementary mathematics textbooks which is currently in development, in accordance with the 2015 revised curriculum. As a result, there were found some problems in the unit structure and vocabulary of elementary mathematics textbooks.
