  • With the development of technology, the concept of digital literacy is expanding from the focus of function and tool utilization to the extent of communication and participation in social and cultural contexts. In particular, learners' digital literacy capabilities are more important and necessary in remote learning environments such as Corona19. In this study, we studied how to improve digital literacy education through analysis and inspection of digital literacy shown in elementary school textbooks. To this end, we analyze it through compliance consisting of 8 fundamental pieces of knowledge, 20 sub technical skills, and 10 keys of competencies that constitute digital literacy. As a result of the study, the contents of digital literacy education in elementary school textbooks were presented centered on functions and tools, and as they were biased in certain areas, they were found to be lacking in systematicity and connectivity. Therefore, it proposed the composition of the curriculum system of digital literacy through the independence of elementary informatics curriculum, the specific composition of curriculum, and the strengthening of pre-service teachers' practical skills.

In recognition of the importance of software education, Korea decided to implement 17 hours of software education in elementary school from 2019 in the revised education curriculums in 2015. Because all teachers in elementary school have to be able to teach software, the government is carrying out systematic training for teachers. It is necessary to analyze the curriculum for preparing the software education at the university that educates teachers The results of this study show that subject education curriculums for software education are 1.64 hour in 11 educational universities and contents of education are composed of computer general education. • The revised 7th education course of information implies that students use variety of information devices to solve the common problems and it also includes the programming education for improving problem-solving abilities. Not only improving problem-solving abilities but also developing thinking skill is expected in programming education. However, traditional programming education is teacher-oriented and focused on language syntax. Accordingly, students have heavy cognitive load and it decrease students' interest of programming. Therefore, in this paper, a instructional method of programming using educational robot is proposed to improve interest of elementary students in concretive operation stage for effectiveness of programming education. Additionally, results of experiments show that proposed robot programming instructional method can be applied in elementary education.

  • The most widely-used typical information service of national education, EDUNET has members of 5.8million. But it has been not used in the fields of elementary school. There are short-comings in its usage by members of the elementary school teaching. We would like to find solutions by using a questionnaire to the teachers of elementary school in the Busan and Gyeongsangnam-do, which resolve the problems of the actual condition. Analytical results show that 93.1 percent of the teachers usually use private education information service and 5.3 percent use EDUNET service. The main reason why teachers discourage the use of EDUNET service is that it provides the inconvenience of searching data(29.4%) and insufficiency of good quality contents(25%). In order to revitalize using EDUNET service, EDUNET has to improve on the perceived cumbersome unhandy of searching tools and help teachers to use EDUNET service by offering information of high quality.
