Effect of Organizational Justice on Organizational Effectiveness and the Mediating Role of Supervisor Trust -With a focus on the MICE industry employees- (조직공정성이 조직유효성에 미치는 영향과 상사신뢰의 매개역할 -MICE산업 종사자들을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of distributive and procedural justice on organizational effectiveness and the mediating role of supervisor trust among the MICE industry employees. For the study, data were collected from 303 MICE industry employees in metropolitan area by self-administered questionnaires. Collected data were analyzed using structural equation modeling technique. The results of this study showed that organizational justice had effects on organizational effectiveness measured in terms of job satisfaction, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behaviour of MICE industrial employees and that supervisor trust mediated the relationship between organizational justice and organizational effectiveness. Based on the results of this study, the theoretical implications of the findings were discussed and directions for future research were advanced.

  • The research focuses on the interactional justice of organizational members and supervisors within Chinese organizations. In terms of organizational performance, the focus is on creativity by members, based on the need for innovation today. Furthermore, it verifies the influence of moral leadership on members' innovative behavior and the various effects of trust on members' superiors. This study empirically examined 330 Chinese small practitioners and identified the role of interactional justice in increasing the creative influence of organizational members to date in Chinese small. This study will propose ways to increase the level of creative and reduce the level of procedural justice, and discuss future research directions related to this.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how abusive supervision influences on security policy compliance in their work place and find moderation effects of organizational justice. The results is that abusive supervision decreases employees' affective commitment or social bond to their organizations. And it negatively affect employees' behavioral intent to comply with security policies. Organizational justice acts to attenuate the negative relationship between the stress from abusive supervision and willingness to comply with the security policy. Especially, distributive justice has a significant effect on decreasing the negative relationship.

  • This study is conducted to clarify when a person faces an ethical dilemma in business situation, what affects on individual ethical decision-making(from ethical judgments to behavioral intention, nonethical behaviors) in the organizational context. especially, the present study examined the direct and indirect effects of love of money, individuals' perceptions of work climate, perceptions of organizational justice on their ethical judgments and behavioral intentions regarding an ethical dilemma. The subjects of the research were Pusan National University business school enrolled students(n=160). The research was substantiated through statistical analysis of credibility and validity, correlation, variance, and moderated regression analysis. The results indicated that, although perceived ethical climate dimensions did not have a direct effect on behavioral intentions, but had a direct effect on nonethical behaviors. Climates perceived as egoistic were significant moderating effects. and love of money had a direct effect on behavioral intention. Perceptions of organizational justice had a direct effect on behavioral intentions. Especially, interactional justice had a strong influence on ethical behavioral intentions than distributive justice and procedural justice. In depth discussion implications, limitations, and future research directions were supplied.

CSR and Firm Reputation from Employee Perspective

  • This research focuses on the importance of corporate social responsibility in building the company's reputation. Experts have studied CSR as an antecedent of a company's reputation, but the mechanisms underlying this process are rarely explored. Therefore, to fill this research gap, we demonstrate CSR's implementation combined with organizational justice based on discrepancy and equity theory. This study involved 210 employees in a family company. The study's analysis method uses Structural Equation Model (SEM), SmartPLS, with a five-step measurement and analysis procedure. The variables in this study are CSR implementation, organizational justice, employee trust, firm reputation, organizational objectiveness, organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and job performance. The results found that some of the direct relationships stated were not significant, but all demonstrations of indirect links were substantial. Besides, optimal CSR and organizational justice provide a reliable and positive domino effect in increasing the role and consequences of employee trust and firm reputation. The findings in this study confirm that upstream-downstream job performance causality can be successfully achieved if job satisfaction has been realized, job satisfaction can be achieved if organizational commitment can also be recognized, and organizational commitment can be developed. Reflection and influence, rather than organizational attractiveness becomes essential.

The Study of Relationship among Organizational Justice, Coworker Trust and Knowledge Sharing: Focusing on Government-funded Research Institute (조직공정성, 동료신뢰와 지식공유 간의 관계에 관한 연구 - 정부출연 연구기관을 중심으로)

  • This study examines the relationship between organizational justice and coworker trust, and reveals that coworker trust can increase knowledge sharing. A survey was conducted on government funded research institutes located in Daejeon and Sejong regions, and finally, a questionnaire of 255 valid people was used for statistical analysis. To test the hypotheses, correlation analysis, regression analysis, and negative binomial regression analysis were used. As a result of the analysis, both distributive justice and procedural justice were found to have a positive effect on coworker trust, and coworker trust also have a positive effect on knowledge sharing. This study provides implications that organizational justice affects trust in coworkers, and as a result, knowledge sharing can be increased through coworker trust.

  • This study examined the effects of procedural justice on two facets of OCB (OCBI and OCBO) in local public enterprises and the mediating role of intrinsic motivation in these relationships. We verified the hypothesis established by a structural equation model based on PLS. The research data were collected through a survey of 269 employees working for local public enterprises. Research has shown that procedural fairness has a positive effect on intrinsic motivation, organizational citizenship behavior directed at individuals (OCBI), and organizational citizenship behavior directed at the organization (OCBO), while intrinsic motivation has a positive effect on OCBI and OCBO. In addition, intrinsic motivation has been found to have a partial mediating effect in the procedural justice-OCBI relationship and the procedural justice-OCBO relationship respectively. Finally, we present theoretical and practical implications that organizations need to activate intrinsic motivation so that members can induce voluntary organizational civic action through improved procedural fairness.

The Effect of Organizational Justice on Information Security-Related Role Stress and Negative Behaviors

  • In recent years, many organizations protect their information resources by investing in information security technology. However, information security threats from insiders have not been reduced. This study proposes a method for reducing information security threats within an organization by mitigating negative information security behaviors of employees. Specifically, the study finds a relationship between information security related role stress and negative behavior and suggests whether organizational justice mitigates role stress. That is, the purpose of the study is to suggest a mechanism between organizational justice, information security related role stress, and negative behavior. Negative behavior consist of avoidance behavior and deviant behavior, and security related role stress consist of role conflict and role ambiguity. Organizational justice consist of distributional justice, procedural justice, and informational justice. The research model is verified through structural equation modeling. After establishing a research model and hypothesis, we develop a survey questionnaire and collect data from 383 employees whose organizations have already implemented security policies. The findings appear that security related role stress increases negative behavior and that organizational justice mitigates role stress. The results of the analysis suggest the direction of organizational strategy for minimizing insider's security-related negative behaviors.

Impact of Agile Leadership and Organizational Justice on Job Commitment in Finance Sales (Agile Leadership과 조직 공정성이 금융 Sales 종업원의 직무 몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • This study conducted an empirical analysis of the factors affecting the job commitment of employees within a financial sales organization, focusing particularly on agile leadership and organizational justice. Agile leadership was subdivided into four components: adaptability, collaboration promotion, proficiency, and an agile approach, whereas organizational justice was broken down into distributive justice, procedural justice, and interactional justice. Data were gathered through an online survey, and 245 valid responses were subjected to hierarchical regression analysis. The results revealed a significant positive effect of distributive justice, interactional justice, adaptability, promotion of collaboration, and an agile approach on job commitment among the employees of the financial sales organization. However, the influence of proficiency, a component of agile leadership, and procedural justice, a dimension of organizational justice, did not prove to be statistically significant. The order of influence among the significant variables was found to be: adaptability, interactional justice, promotion of collaboration, distributive justice, and an agile approach. These findings confirmed the impact of agile leadership in financial sales organizations, traditionally viewed as conservative, and suggested practical implications for the financial sector to adapt in anticipation of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Mediating Effects of Perceived Justice between Compensation Communication and Job Satisfaction (지각된 공정성의 보상의사소통과 직무만족에 대한 매개효과 검증)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate whether there is a statistical relationship between compensation communication and job satisfaction. The empirical study indicates that there is a positive relationship between compensation communication and organizational justice. The results suggest that employees' fairness perception is enhanced when information about compensation is relevant, accurate, and timely. Furthermore, the statistical results proved that a significant positive relationship exists between organizational justice and job satisfaction. The findings of this study reveal that when employees understand how their compensation is determined and allocated, they feel more fairly treated. The research enhances past studies by utilizing the most widely accepted measure of job satisfaction dimensions, as well as all measures of organizational justice.
