  • This study aims to specify a constructivism-based instructional method using a modular data analysis tool. The value and meaning of a modular data analysis tool have been examined to be applied in the national curriculum for artificial intelligence education and the process of cultivating problem-solving ability based on computational thinking. The modular data analysis tool visually expresses the cognitive thinking process that forms the schema in equilibrating through assimilation and adjustment. Artificial intelligence education has features that embody abstract knowledge and structure the data analysis module through the represented schema as a BlackBox implemented as an algorithm. Therefore, the value of the modular data analysis tool could be examined because it has the advantage of connecting the conceptual and implicit schema.

  • The instruction assessment, which can be a tool to realize a class of high quality, evaluates instruction system and process. The result data of the instruction assessment is analysed and used to reorganize lecture contents or to improve teaching method. It enhances qualitative level of university education. The goal of the instruction assessment is to be a tool that provides high qualitative education to raise students' satisfaction. It is important to improve education service quality through instruction assessment as a useful tool for measuring service quality. The suggestion of valid tool for improving instruction service quality is described in this paper.

  • This paper presents a Web-based educational tool for Power System Engineering, especially for power engineers. This tool has Web-oriented educational courses for power system education. The Web-based learning has become more popular year by year in the various fields[1-2]. The proposed educational tool provides some courses such as power system introduction Course, KEPCO's system introduction Course, Power system devices Course, Power Flow Course, OPF Course, ELD Course, Stability Analysis Course, Fault analysis Course, Voltage & Frequency control Course, and power system planning & operation Course. Finally, it will be scheduled to install for the education tool of the power system engineering for KEPS[3].

  • This study proposed new approach for the information gifted discrimination test using EPL. We tried to distinguish high level thinking in the information gifted through test of this study. We categorized testing tool according to context type: simple attribute problem, complex same attribute problem, complex focus attribute problem, mathematic-verbal ability required problem. And testing tool divided into modifying scripts, guess scripts's result, using scratch program. In the effectiveness test of proposed tool, we confirmed content validity and credibility.

  • Software education is required from elementary schools to prepare students for the fourth industrial revolution, which aims to improve algorithmic thinking. In general, teaching is divided into two stages: using a flowchart to design algorithms and implementing them through programming. However, converting a flowchart into code and checking the results in an educational programming tool is time consuming and requires additional programming activities. This study proposes a tangible coding tool that enables elementary students to convert algorithms designed at the unplugged activity into educational programming tool codes. This tool was developed in order for students to design algorithms at the level of assembling paper blocks and input them into a programming tool by taking a picture. Sixth graders were participated in this activity to evaluate its usability.

A Study on Development of the Digital Competence Measurement Tool for University Student

  • In this paper, we propose to develop a diagnosis tool for measuring digital competence for university student. To this end, 223 students participated for the survey research. Based on the survey by 6 domain and 40 questions, 6 factors and 18 questions for digital competence measurement were drawn throughout the factors analysis. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis showed the fact that 6 factors and 18 questions that satisfied the model-fit indexes statistically were finally confirmed. And the developed tool demonstrated good results in reliability and validity verification, which were suitable for measuring digital competence for university students. The developed measurement tool of digital competence for university students consisted of 6 sub-components such digital device operation, communication and collaboration, information searching, processing, and management, problem solving and learning, security, digital ethics. The digital competence measuring tool developed in this study is expected to be used to identify the current level of competences for university student, and to enhance their own digital competences through educational supports.

  • Under the influence of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, there is a emphasis on capacity building based on computational thinking to foster talent for future. In Korea, SW education has been mandatory since 2018. Since 2017, research has been conducted on the definition of SW education capability and the development of diagnostic tools. At this time, the diagnostic tool for middle school has been revised and supplemented once in 2018 and is used so far. In response to the request from the field to expand the information diagnostic test for middle school to elementary school and high school, it began as one of the 2019 study on the effectiveness of SW leading schools. In this study, we develop a diagnostic tool for elementary and high school based on the diagnostic tool for middle school. Expert validity verification and preliminary inspections are carried out. Preliminary examinations will analyze the reliability, discrimination, and difficulty of the questions, and look forward to seeing the potential as a testing tool in the future.

  • Although the importance of Artificial Intelligence(AI) education is increasing, research on the development of test tools has not been conducted in AI education research in Korea has not been conducted. Accordingly, there is a limit to designing AI curriculum and analyzing the effect of the educational program. So, in this study, Test tool was developed that to measure the attitude toward artificial intelligence of middle school students. For the development of test tools, the objectives, components, factors, and test tools were developed through the discussion of AI education experts. The test tool was finally developed by item analysis, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. Finally, the criteria of the developed test tool were analyzed. Future research is needed to analyze the effects of educational programs and to analyze factors affecting attitudes toward artificial intelligence in middle school students using developed test tools.

  • To enhance the educational effect of Multi-Joint Robot have to easily develop motion through the control software. The traditional way of development technique for multi-joint robot is educated with very complicated implementation, but our motion creation tool can be possible to do the creative activity for controling robot movements with ease. This paper mentions to develop the motion creation tool for easily and quickly programming the motion control of multi-joint robot on the educational program. With this tool we easily and exactly provide the education of robot program. In this paper, our suggested tool could not only evade the traditional way of a complicated control program using programming languages but also control easier the robot than the GUI(Graphic User Interface) programming centered on the user's convenience. Additionally, the robot motion's implementation is possible applied with microprocessor experimental equipment educationally to practical use.

  • This study is a basic study to effectively develop a mathematics experience object, an important tool and educational tool in mathematics education. Recently, as mathematics education based on action theory is emphasized, various mathematics experience objects are being developed. It is also used through various after-school activities in the school. However, there are insufficient cases in which a mathematics experience teaching tools is developed and used as a tool for explaining mathematics concepts in mathematics classrooms. Also, the mathematical background of the mathematics experience teaching tools used by students is unclear. For this reason, the mathematical understanding of the toolst for mathematics experience is also very insufficient. Therefore, in this study, a development model is proposed as a systematic method for developing a mathematics experience teaching tools. Also, in this study, we developed 'the Great Common Divisor' mathematics experience teaching tool according to the development model. Through the model proposed through this study and the actual mathematics experience teaching tool, the development of various tools for mathematical experience will be practically implemented. In addition, it is expected that various tools for experiencing mathematics based on mathematical foundations will be developed.
