  • We obtain the convergence of three-step iteration methods and generalized three-step iteration methods for quasi-contractive and generalized quasi-contractive mappings, respectively, in Banach spaces. Our results extend the corresponding results in [1], [4]-[6].

  • The notions of IVF strongly semiopen (semiclosed) sets and IVF (strong) semi-interior (IVF (strong) semi-closure) are introduced, and several examples are provided. Related properties are investigated. In particular, characterizations of an IVF strongly semiopen set are discussed.

  • The notion of problem-solving in mathematics education effects mathematics teachers notice and its importance in mathematics is getting better. The purpose of this thesis is to consider the mathematical reasoning for improving the ability of problem solving. It is necessary that notion, enforcement method, procedure and evaluation standard of performance assessment should be explained to students. The teachers, improvements of specialty for class and evaluation as well as systematic reeducation for performance assessment are essential.

  • In this paper, the notion of S-metric spaces will be introduced. We present some fixed point theorems for two maps on complete S-metric spaces and an illustrative example is given for the single-valued case. By using the similar method as in [4], a common fixed point theorem for two single-valued mappings is obtained in S-metric spaces.

  • Morley provided an interesting identity about 20 years earlier before its more generalized form was given by Dixon. In this note some of its generalized forms and an application of Morley's formula are considered.

  • In this paper, we investigate the methodology to calculate the volume of sphere in SanHakSeos. Comparing and analyzing content in Korean and Chinese mathematics education textbooks that uses as a foundation the aforementioned methodology, it is proposed that in future development of mathematics education curriculum the area of solid geometry be taught in greater depth in basic study guides.

  • In this paper we obtain some fixed points theorems of expansive mappings and several necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of common fixed points of families of self-mappings in metric spaces. Our results generalize and improve the main results of Fisher [1]-[5], Furi-Vignoli [6], $Is\'{e}ki$ [7], Jungck [8], [9], Kashara-Rhoades [10], Liu [13], [14] and Sharma and Strivastava [16].

  • The authors apply the theory of multiple Gamma functions, which was recently revived in the study of the determinants of the Laplacians, in order to present a class of closed-form evaluations of series involving the Zeta function by appealing only to the definitions of the double and triple Gamma functions.

  • Computer technology in mathematics teaching-learning is not for teaching computer but for improving mathematics teaching-learning with computer. It is shown the use of computer technology comparing with traditional approach provides students more opportunities in order to approach abstract structure. Computer activity provides not only understanding concepts of analysis and opportunity to investigate theory but also effective background in teaching analysis. We analyze students' computer usage level on analysis education by using computer usage level according to role of computer technology. We try to get an useful educational implication on analysis education applying MATLAB through qualitative research.
