The general opinion about the notion of cyberbullying hasn't existed yet, but in related laws it is defined as the entire behavior causing the counterpart to suffer the pain by continuously and repeatedly psychologic offending toward specific students with information and telecommunication products such as the Internet and mobile phones, and spreading the private information or false facts related with specific students. Recently a number of accidents related with abuse of cyberbullying are being broadcast on a variety of mass media, and the argument about the severity and countermeasures against cyberbullying is moving onward. This study has a purpose as suggesting the practical alternatives to prevent cyberbullying victim of middle school students by arguing cyberbullying of middle school students and analyzing the relationship between the general features such as victimized experience and frequency and the emotional behaviors according to victimized experience. As the result of this study, cyberbullying victimized experience has a significant effect on the emotional behavior such as depression, aggression, and academic stress. As political implication, this study suggests the practical alternatives to prevent cyberbullying of middle school students based on the analysis result.

Cyberbullying has been an emerging issue in recent years where research has revealed that users generally spend an increasing amount of time in social networks and forums to keep connected with each other. However, issue arises when cyberbullies are able to reach their victims through these social media platforms. There are different types of cyberbullying and like traditional bullying; it causes victims to feel overly selfconscious, increases their tendency to self-harm and generally affects their mental state negatively. Such situations occur due to security issues such as user anonymity and the lack of content restrictions in some social networks or web forums. In this paper, we highlight the existing solutions, which are Intrusion Prevention System and Intrusion Detection System from a number of researchers. However, even with such solutions, cyberbullying acts still occurs at an alarming rate. As such, we proposed an alternative solution that aims to prevent cyberbullying activities at a younger age, e.g., young children. The application would provide an alternative method to preventing cyberbullying activities among the younger generations in the future.
This study investigated the impact of the amount of time online on cyberbullying perpetration of middle school students as well as examined if the justice sensitivity (victim sensitivity and penetrator sensitivity) moderated the relationship between the amount of time online and cyberbullying perpetration. The participants in this study were 236 students (120 boys and 116 girls) from two middle schools located in Seoul and Incheon. The levels of cyberbullying perpetration and justice sensitivity were measured by scales developed by Campfield (2008) and Schmitt et al. (2010), respectively. The participants were also asked to report on how much time they spent online a day. The data were analyzed via descriptive statistics, hierarchical regression, and procedures mentioned by Baron and Kenny (1986). The results revealed that the more the students used the Internet, the more likely they were to become a cyberbullying perpetrator. However, such a tendency was observed only for the students who had a higher level of victim sensitivity, and not for those with a lower level of victim sensitivity. This suggested that victim sensitivity moderated the effect of the amount of time spent on the Internet on cyberbullying perpetration; but, penetrator sensitivity had no moderating effect.
This study aimed to examine the hypothesis that intrapersonal, interpersonal, and environmental self-awareness would alleviate the association between sSchadenfreude and cyberbullying. 300 middle and high school students answered survey questionnaires including sSchadenfreude, cyberbullying behavior, (intrapersonal. interpersonal, and environmental) self-awareness, depression, and anxiety. After controlling depression and anxiety, theThe results reveal that first, Schadenfreude predicts cyberbullying behavior, so those who have a high level of Schadenfreude commit more online cyberbullying behavior. Second, intrapersonal and interpersonal self-awareness moderated the association between schadenfreude and cyberbullying, and those who were above average on intrapersonal and interpersonal self-awareness were more liable to commit cyberbullying, but those below average did not show a significant moderation effect. Third, whereas environmental self-awareness did not show a significant moderation effect. Specifically, those who know well what they think and do and what they look like in interpersonal relationships perpetrate more cyberbullying when their schadenfreude was high. However, knowing well about what was happening around them was not related to the likelihood of schadenfreude that lead to cyberbullying. The results of this study revealed that Schadenfreude, which deals with emotions on expecting the misfortune of others and the possibility of having antisocial characteristics, lead to actual cyberbullying behaviors of adolescents. Also, this study identified that intrapersonal and interpersonal self-awareness are harmful in causing cyberbullying in those with high Schadenfreude. Finally, the implication and the limitation of this study were discussed.
The purpose of this study was to investigate adolescents' individual and microsystem variables including relationships with parents and friends affecting adolescents' experiences of mobile social networking site (SNS) cyberbullying based on the human ecological perspective. Data came from 344 middle school students who lived with both their parents in the Seoul and Gyunggi areas. A multiple regression analysis showed that adolescents' characteristics, relationships with parents, and friends were associated with their experiences of mobile SNS cyberbullying. These findings suggest that good relationships with parents could be protective factors for adolescents to reduce mobile SNS cyberbullying. However, adolescents' characteristics including aggression, depression, and delinquent peers were positively associated with adolescents' experiences of mobile SNS cyberbullying. This study highlights that various environments are closely related to adolescent development.

Social media has become a global means of communication in people's lives. Most people are using Twitter for communication purposes and its inappropriate use, which has negative effects on people's lives. One of the widely common misuses of Twitter is cyberbullying. As the resources of dialectal Arabic are rare, so for cyberbullying most people are using dialectal Arabic. For this reason, the ultimate goal of this study is to detect and classify cyberbullying on Twitter in the Arabic context in Saudi Arabia. To help in the detection and classification of tweets, Pointwise Mutual Information (PMI) to generate a lexicon, and Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithms are used. The evaluation is performed on both methods in terms of the F1-score. However, the F1-score after applying the PMI is 50%, while after the SVM application on the resampling data it is 82%. The analysis of the results shows that the SVM algorithm outperforms better.
This study was conducted to ascertain the mediating effects of aggression in high school students' relationship with smartphone overuse and cyberbullying. Data were collected from 328 high school students in K city using self-report questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. The results show that cyberbullying has a positive correlation with smatrphone overuse(r=.321, p<.001) and aggression(r=.397, p<.001). Smartphone overuse had a direct effect on aggression(${\beta}=.195$, p=.014) and aggression had a direct effect on cyberbullying(${\beta}=.260$, p=.007). In addition, the mediation effects of aggression on the relationship between smartphone overuse and cyberbullying were confirmed(${\beta}=.051$, p=.007). In order to reduce cyberbullying in high school students, it will be necessary to develop cyber ethical awareness education programs to reduce aggression as well as regulations on excessive use of smartphones.

The popularity of social networking sites (SNS) has facilitated communication between users. The usage of SNS helps users in their daily life in various ways such as sharing of opinions, keeping in touch with old friends, making new friends, and getting information. However, some users misuse SNS to belittle or hurt others using profanities, which is typical in cyberbullying incidents. Thus, in this study, we aim to identify profane words from the ASKfm corpus to analyze the profane word distribution across four different roles involved in cyberbullying based on lexicon dictionary. These four roles are: harasser, victim, bystander that assists the bully, and bystander that defends the victim. Evaluation in this study focused on occurrences of the profane word for each role from the corpus. The top 10 common words used in the corpus are also identified and represented in a graph. Results from the analysis show that these four roles used profane words in their conversation with different weightage and distribution, even though the profane words used are mostly similar. The harasser is the first ranked that used profane words in the conversation compared to other roles. The results can be further explored and considered as a potential feature in a cyberbullying detection model using a machine learning approach. Results in this work will contribute to formulate the suitable representation. It is also useful in modeling a cyberbullying detection model based on the identification of profane word distribution across different cyberbullying roles in social networks for future works.
This study was to examine the effect of Displaced aggression and Justice sensitivity(victim sensitivity and penetrator sensitivity) on Cyberbullying tendency in 20s adult, and the moderating role of Justice sensitivity to identify psychological factors affecting a serious social problem, cyberbullying. The online survey was handed to 261 adults in their 20s for a month. First, Simple regression analysis shows that displaced aggression(F=62.55, p<.001) and victim sensitivity(F=29.61, p<.001) predict cyberbullying tendency. Second, hierarchical regression analysis by controlling the effects of sex, the perpetrator sensitivity has been shown to morderate the relationship between displaced aggression and cyberbullying tendencies(F=29.61, p<.001), and the effect of victim sensitivity has not been significant. In conclusion, that future studies need to consider the limitations of this study to ensure that the same results are shown in different age groups and also some approaches such as empathetic understanding could help to reduce cyberbullying.
This study was a descriptive research study to examine the factors influencing cyberbullying tendency among college students. The data used in this study were collected from July 31 to August 13, 2020, from 396 students attending universities across South Korea. The collected data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficients, PROCESS macro model 4, Bootstrap, Sobel test using IBM SPSS Statistics version 20.0 and PROCESS macro for SPSS. The results of this study are as follows. First, there was a significantly negative correlation between academic stress and self-control (r=-.246, p<.001). There was also a positive correlation between academic stress and cyberbullying tendency, but it was not significant (r=.096, p=.055). Second, the mediation effect of self-control is significant between academic stress and cyberbullying tendency (R2=.039, p<.001). Therefore, Academic stress and self-control should be considered in the development of cyberbullying prevention programs, and further research is also needed to verify the effectiveness of the cyberbullying prevention program based on this study.
