협동 학습이 중학교 여학생들의 과학 선호도에 미치는 효과 - 지각 변동 단원에 STAD 모델의 적용 - (The Effect of Cooperative Learning on Middle School Girls' Science Preferences - Applying the STAD Model in the Unit of Crustal Deformation -)

  • 본 연구는 김제시 1개 중학교 2학년 여학생 5개 반을 대상으로, 중학교 과학 '지각 변동' 단원을 중심으로 협동학습을 실시하여 협동 학습이 여학생들의 과학 선호도에 효과가 있는지 조사하였다. 협동 학습 모둠은 학습 능력이 이질적으로 되도록 4명을 한 모둠으로 구성하여 약 10주간의 협동 학습을 실시하였다. 협동 학습 실시 전 후 동일한 검사지로 과학 선호도에 대한 사전 검사와 사후 검사를 실시하였다. 협동 학습 실시 후 여중생들의 과학 선호도에 긍정적인 효과가 나타났다. 과학 수업에 대한 인식과 과학 수업에 대한 참여도가 협동 학습 전과 달리 긍정적인 변화를 보였다. 그러나 과학자들에 대한 인식이나 과학적으로 사고하거나 행동하는 습관을 나타내는 과학적 태도는 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 이는 10주 동안의 기간은 협동 학습 전략을 효과적으로 시행하는데 충분하지 못한 것으로 생각된다. 협동학습에 대한 학생들의 의견 조사에서 중위 수준 학생들은 상-하위 수준 학생들과 달리 협동 학습에 대해 강한 긍정을 나타냈다. 협동 학습을 통해 상위 수준 학생들에게 배우고, 하위 수준 학생들에게 나누는 모둠 활동에서 자신감을 얻고 흥미를 느낀 것으로 보인다. 다른 의견으로는 협동 학습이 과학 수업에 대한 흥미 유발과 공부에 더 도움이 되고, 학생의 참여도를 높이며, 학생들에게 협동심을 길러주는 등의 좋은 점이 있으나, 학생의 언어적 상호작용으로 인한 소란스러움을 유발시키고, 모둠 내 협동하는데 의견 충돌이 있는 단점이 있었다.

인천지역 특성화 고등학교의 산학협력 담당교사가 인식하는 산학협동교육 (Cooperative Education Between Industry and School Recognized by Teachers in Charge of Cooperative Education Between Industry and School in Vocational High School in Incheon Area)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 인천지역 특성화 고등학교의 산학협력 담당교사인 가칭 산학협력부장 등이 인식하는 산학협동교육을 알아보는 것이다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 질문지를 통한 조사연구를 실시하여 산학협동교육에 대한 인식을 교육과정(목적 및 내용), 지원체제를 포함한 운영체제(구축 및 활동 수준), 교육(진행 및 효과성, 문제점, 강화방안)을 중심으로 살펴보았다. Likert 5점 척도를 사용하여 설문한 다음 빈도, 평균, 표준편차 등 기술통계로 알아보았다. 설문조사에서 나타난 결과를 종합적으로 살펴보면, 산학협력에서 나타난 성과는 대체로 높은 것으로 판단되나, 아직까지 산학협력 이해관계자의 인식이나 의지가 부족하여 참여가 미흡하고, 이해관계자를 연결하고 조정하는 매개기구가 부족한 것이 문제점으로 나타났다. 또한, 산학협력의 활성화 및 효율화를 위한 정책 및 법적 제도적, 재정적 인프라가 아직 완벽하게 구축되지 않아 운영에 미숙한 점이 많고, 특히 직업교육기관 내부의 조직이나 인원의 인프라 구축이 결정적으로 미흡한 것으로 나타났다. 성공적인 산학협동교육이 그 목적을 달성하기 위해서는 첫째, 학교 경영자들의 참여 의지 제고, 교사들의 적극성 제고, 학생들의 적극적인 참여를 위한 직업교육기관의 비전과 선언, 교원들의 업무과중을 줄이기 위한 학교 업무 재구조화, 학교 문화의 개선 등의 내적요인과 둘째, 지역 내 인적 물적 자원의 연계활용을 위한 산학협력 포럼, 산학협력 네트워크 센터 협의처, 학교 내부의 산학협의체 등 내부와 외부를 연결하는 고리, 셋째, 정부 등의 로드맵 및 전략, 지속적인 지원기구 및 법적 제도적 산학협력 인프라의 구축 등의 외적 요인이 동시에 이루어져야 한다.

초등학생의 블랜디드 러닝 기반 구조중심협동학습을 적용한 안전교육 프로그램 개발 및 효과 (Effects of a Structure-centered Cooperative Learning Safety Education Program based on Blended Learning for Elementary School Students)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to determine effects of a structure-centered cooperative learning safety education program based on blended learning for elementary school students. Methods: The study is developed in nonequivalent control group non-synchronized design. The subjects included 24 sixth grade students in the experimental group and 23 sixth grade students in the control group, respectively. To prevent diffusion of the experiment, it was carried out from May 20th to June 24th in 2015 with the control group and the other from August 26th to September 30th in 2015 with the experimental group. It was performed on experimental group after the structure-centered cooperative learning safety education program based on blended learning once a week for 6weeks. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, paired t-test and independent t-test. Results: After the intervention, the experimental group showed significant increases in the self-directed learning attitudes and safety behavior compared to the control group except for the academic self-efficacy. Conclusion: The results indicate that the structure-centered cooperative learning safety education program based on blended learning program is effective in safety education for 6th graders.

  • We analyze the possibilities of using Information and Communication Technologies as a resource in the teaching/learning of Mathematics and we show the results of concrete experiments carried out with the games: "Adibu", "La ciudad perdida" and "Drood en el planeta siete", with fourteen students and two primary school teachers in a school in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain). Our analysis of the games is made within a global framework in which individual, cooperative and collaborative learning are considered, taking as reference the theoretical frameworks set out by Piaget, Vygotsky, and the principles of collaborative learning (Computer Supported Collaborative Learning).

  • Problem solving by homework assignment is a process of practicing what were discussed in classrooms and thus is considered as an essential part of learning procedure in engineering education. We introduced the concept of cooperative learning, Student Teams-Achievement Division(STAD), to improve the students' learning efficiency by in-class problem solving. The instructor explained fundamental concepts, and lecture materials were handed out to compensate for the time of in-class team activity. Brief tests were given after every chapter, and team-based additional credits were given for the improvement comparing the average of previous tests of each student. This attempt of modified STAD was evaluated to have brought about a significant improvement in students' academic achievement, in addition to activating classroom atmosphere.

  • This study is to develop teaching aids in the area of Clothing and Textiles based on cooperative learning as an alternative to increase the quality of Home Economics class. It is very difficult to control students because of noise coming from activities. when teachers teach students with cooperative learning strategy a classroom with restricted space. Sometimes the activities will disturb other classes in the school. which will harm the real purpose of cooperative learning. However. we have more positive results from cooperative learning method. because students have more chance to improve their personal skills. easily solve a problem together and openly express their opinions. Moreover. we found that they understand the subjects and increase their attention much better because they are tested right after learning. We anticipate that the developed teaching aids will be a great help to improve middle school Home Economics class.

  • This study shows how the organizational culture of fisheries cooperative impacts with empowerment and organizational effectiveness. Result of this study would be utilized in organization management for fisheries cooperative. sample design is based on fisheries cooperative which are registered in korea from October 24 through November 17 in 2012. and total of 195 questionnaires are collected through a personal visit. The result of empirical analysis, organizational culture factor which have an effect on empowerment and organizational effectiveness is the biggest influence to them. At the same time. Sympathy of empowerment factor which have an effect on organizational effectiveness is the biggest influence to it.

Analysis of the Sociality and Democratic-Citizenship Changes from the Application of the Scratch Remix Function in Cooperative Learning

  • This study analyzed changes in sociality and democratic-citizenship among elementary school students in the information class and the science class at the Science Education Institute for the Gifted, who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group engaged in the Learning Together (LT) cooperative form of learning for which the remix function of Scratch, an educational programming language, was applied, while the control group was given general instructor-led lessons. Members in the experimental group were able to modify processes during projects through the usage of the remix function, thereby actively participating in the projects and eventually generating team-based results. The post-class t-tests showed a greater degree of improvements in sociality and democratic citizenship for the experimental group that was offered the remix-function-based cooperative learning than the control group. Statistically significant differences were present between two groups particularly in "cooperative spirit" sub-domain of sociality and the "community" and "responsibility" sub-domains of democratic citizenship.

미적분학 수업에 그룹게임을 적용한 협동학습 사례 (A Case Study of Cooperative Learning: Applying Group Game to Calculus Class)

  • This paper is to study whether cooperative learning applying group games becomes a teaching method that can increase interest and participation in class in calculus and the effect of the number of students. To increase interest and participation in class, the researcher conducted cooperative learning by applying smartphones and various game tools to group games. The consequences of the study confirmed that students' interest and participation in the class increased regardless of their mathematics basics. Therefore, it is expected that the calculus which is difficult for students to understand will be more easily approached by cooperative learning applying group games in the future.
