This paper considers the problem of estimating paramaters of the bivariate exponential distribution with a loaction parameter for a two-component shared parallel system using component data from system-level life test terminated at the time of the prespecified number of system failure. In the system-level life testing, there are three patterns of failure types; 1) both component failed 2) both component censored 3) one is failed and the other is censored. In the third case, we assume that the failure time might be known or unknown. The maximum likelihood estimators are obtained for the case of known/unknown failure time when the other component is censored.

We consider a life testing experiment in which several two component shared parallel system are put on test, and the test is terminated at a specified number of system failures. The bivariate data obtained from such a system level life testing can be classified into three classes: (1) the case of failed two components with known failure times, (2) the case of one censored component and the other failed component of which the failure time might be known or unknown, (3) the case of censored two components. In this thesis, the maximum likelihood estimators of parameters for Block and Basu bivariate exponential distribution under above censoring scheme are obtained. And the results of comparative studies are presented.

Collecting all failures during life cycle of vehicle is not easy way because its life cycle is normally over 10 years. Warranty period can help gathering failures data because most customers try to repair its failures during warranty period even though small failures. This warranty data, which means failures during warranty period, can be a good resource to predict initial reliability and permanence reliability. However uncertainty regarding reliability prediction remains because this data is censored. University of Wuppertal and major auto supplier developed the reliability prognosis model considering censored data and this model introduce to predict reliability estimate further "failure candidate". This paper predicts reliability of telecommunications system in vehicle using the model and describes data structure for reliability prediction.

시스템의 한 부품이 고장 나면 고장 난 부품이 분담하던 부하가 고장 나지 않은 다른 부품에 전가되어 다른 부품의 고장률에 영향을 주는 부하분배시스템에 대한 연구가 신뢰성 공학과 생물의학 분야에서 다양하게 이루어져왔다. 본 연구에서는 최소수명을 보증하는 부하분배체계의 체계단위수명 시험에서 부품의 수명관측이 불가능하며 체계의 수명관측이 가능한 경우에, 중도절단된 체계 고장데이터를 이용하여 부하분배체계의 평균수명과 체계 신뢰도의 최우추정치와 추정오차를 줄일 수 있는 수정된 최우추정치를 구하고 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여 그 성능을 비교한다.

In this paper we propose a nonparametric estimator of the men residual life function (MRLF) on a coherent system under the condition that the component lifetimes are censored by system lifetime. It is shown that the proposed estimator, considered as a function of age t, converges weakly to a Gaussian process on a fixed interval. A consistent estimator of asymptotic variance of the proposed estimator is also given.
