  • In this paper, we investigate the following additive functional inequality (0.1) ||f(x)+f(y)+f(z)+f(w)||${\leq}$||f(x+y)+f(z+w)|| in normed modules over a $C^*$-algebra. This is applied to understand homomor-phisms in $C^*$-algebra. Moreover, we prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of the functional inequality (0.2) ||f(x)+f(y)+f(z)f(w)||${\leq}$||f(x+y+z+w)||+${\theta}||x||^p||y||^p||z||^p||w||^p$ in real Banach spaces, where ${\theta}$, p are positive real numbers with $4p{\neq}1$.

  • In [4], it is proved that the algebra ($S,k^{14}$) is not a $C_1$- construction if the field is the real number field. In this paper, we will introduce a different proof of the fact that the algebra ($S,k^{14}$) is not a $C_1$-construction.

  • A linear map T from a Banach algebra A into a Banach algebra B is almost multiplicative if $\left\$\mid$ T(fg) - T(f)T(g) \right\$\mid$ \leq \in\left\$\mid$ f \right\$\mid$\left\$\mid$ g \right\$\mid$(f,g \in A)$ for some small positive $\in$. B.E.Johnson [4,5] studied whether this implies that T is near a multiplicative map in the norm of operators from A into B. K. Jarosz [2,3] raised the conjecture : If T is an almost multiplicative functional on uniform algebra A, there is a linear and multiplicative functional F on A such that $\left\$\mid$ T - F \right\$\mid$ \leq \in', where \in' \to 0$ as $\in \to 0$. B. E. Johnson [4] gave an example of non-uniform commutative Banach algebra which does not have the property described in the above conjecture. He proved also that C(K) algebras and the disc algebra A(D) have this property [5]. We extend this property to a derivation on a Banach algebra.

  • The generalized noncommutative torus $T_{\rho}^d$ of rank m was defined in [2]. Assume that for the completely irrational noncommutative subtorus $A_{\rho}$ of rank m of $T_{\rho}^d$ there is no integer q > 1 such that $tr(K_0(A_{\rho}))=\frac{1}{q}{\cdot}tr(K_0(A_{\rho^{\prime}}))$ for $A_{\rho^{\prime}}$ a completely irrational noncommutative torus of rank m. All $C^*$-algebras ${\Gamma}({\eta})$ of sections of locally trivial $C^*$-algebra bundles ${\eta}$ over $M=\prod_{i=1}^{e}S^{2k_i}{\times}\prod_{i=1}^{s}S^{2n_i+1}$, $\prod_{i=1}^{s}\mathbb{PR}_{2n_i}$, or $\prod_{i=1}^{s}L_{k_i}(n_i)$ with fibres $T_{\rho}^d{\otimes}M_c(\mathbb{C})$ were constructed in [6, 7, 8]. We prove that ${\Gamma}({\eta}){\otimes}M_{p^{\infty}}$ is isomorphic to $C(M){\otimes}A_{\rho}{\otimes}M_{cd}(\mathbb{C}){\otimes}M_{p^{\infty}}$ if and only if the set of prime factors of cd is a subset of the set of prime factors of p, that $\mathcal{O}_{2u}{\otimes}{\Gamma}({\eta})$ is isomorphic to $\mathcal{O}_{2u}{\otimes}C(M){\otimes}A_{\rho}{\otimes}M_{cd}(\mathbb{C})$ if and only if cd and 2u - 1 are relatively prime, and that $\mathcal{O}_{\infty}{\otimes}{\Gamma}({\eta})$ is not isomorphic to $\mathcal{O}_{\infty}{\otimes}C(M){\otimes}A_{\rho}{\otimes}M_{cd}(\mathbb{C})$ if cd > 1 when no non-trivial matrix algebra can be ${\Gamma}({\eta})$.

  • In this paper we study the (good) semi-prime closure operations on ideals of a BCK-algebra, lower BCK-semilattice, Noetherian BCK-algebra and meet quotient ideal and then we give several theorems that make different (good) semi-prime closure operations. Moreover by given some examples we show that the given different notions are independent together, for instance there is a semi-prime closure operation, which is not a good semi-prime. Finally by given the notion of "$c_f$-Max X", we prove that every member of "$c_f$-Max X" is a prime ideal. Also we conclude some more related results.

  • Let C[0, T] denote the space of continuous, real-valued functions on the interval [0, T] and let C0[0, T] be the space of functions x in C[0, T] with x(0) = 0. In this paper, we introduce a Banach algebra ${\bar{\mathcal{S}}}_{{\alpha},{\beta};{\varphi}}$ on C[0, T] and its equivalent space ${\bar{\mathcal{F}}}({\mathcal{H}}) $, a space of transforms of equivalence classes of measures, which generalizes Fresnel class 𝓕(𝓗), where 𝓗 is an appropriate real separable Hilbert space of functions on [0, T]. We also investigate their properties and derive an isomorphism between ${\bar{\mathcal{S}}}_{{\alpha},{\beta};{\varphi}}$ and ${\bar{\mathcal{F}}}({\mathcal{H}}) $. When C[0, T] is replaced by C0[0, T], ${\bar{\mathcal{F}}}({\mathcal{H}}) $ and ${\bar{\mathcal{S}}}_{{\alpha},{\beta};{\varphi}}$ reduce to 𝓕(𝓗) and Cameron-Storvick's Banach algebra 𝓢, respectively, which is the space of generalized Fourier-Stieltjes transforms of the complex-valued, finite Borel measures on L2[0, T].

  • We investigate the continuity of (${\alpha},{\beta}$)-derivations on B(X) or $C^*$-algebras. We give some sufficient conditions on which (${\alpha},{\beta}$)-derivations on B(X) are continuous and show that each (${\alpha},{\beta}$)-derivation from a unital $C^*$-algebra into its a Banach module is continuous when and ${\alpha}$ ${\beta}$ are continuous at zero. As an application, we also study the ultraweak continuity of (${\alpha},{\beta}$)-derivations on von Neumann algebras.

  • Let (B, m$_{B}$, k) be a maximal commutative $textsc{k}$-subalgebra of M$_{m}$(k). Then, for some element z $\in$ Soc(B), a k-algebra R = B[X,Y]/I, where I = (m$_{B}$X, m$_{B}$Y, X$^2$- z,Y$^2$- z, XY) will create an interesting maximal commutative $textsc{k}$-subalgebra of a matrix algebra which is neither a $C_1$-construction nor a $C_2$-construction. This construction will also be useful to embed a maximal commutative $textsc{k}$-subalgebra of matrix algebra to a maximal commutative $textsc{k}$-subalgebra of a larger size matrix algebra.gebra.a.

  • Let A be a Banach $^{\ast}$-algebra and C(t) be a closed $^{\ast}$-subalgebra of A gengerated by $t{\in}A$. A is locally $B^{\ast}$-equivalent [$B^{\ast}$-equivalent] if C(t) [A] for every hermitian element t is $^{\ast}$-isomorphic to some $B^{\ast}$-algebra. It was proved that the locally $B^{\ast}$-equivalent algebras with some conditions is $B^{\ast}$-equivalent by B. A. Barnes. In this paper, we obtain the some conditions for a locally $B^{\ast}$-equivalent algebra to be $B^{\ast}$-equivalent.
