It summarized and analyzed how the definitions of prism, which is the main mathematics education contents of the upper grades of elementary school, have changed from the teaching period to the 2015 revised curriculum. To this end, the definition method was divided into three methods, and how each method was used in each curriculum was examined. Through this, it was confirmed that the definitions of prism were quite different for each curriculum period. In addition, the implications for the definition of each prism were compressed and presented. It will be an opportunity for the textbook author to think about what is a more meaningful definition method of prism.
In this paper, we analyzed curriculum materials on inequalities as regions. Constructs such as mathematical connections and curriculum articulation were used as a framework. As for articulation, our findings indicate the topic of inequalities as regions addresses meaningful subordinate mathematical thinking and skills that serve prerequisite to calculus. Regarding connections, mathematical concepts involving inequalities extend to multivariate calculus. One implication is, as an unintended consequence of curricular decision of 2015 Revised National Curriculum to teach the topic only in mathematical economics, students who plan to study STEM subjects in college but opt out of mathematics economics in high school may miss the key concept and naturally struggle to understand calculus especially the theory of multivariate function of calculus.
In order to examine the change in mathematical inclinationn of middle level engineering college freshmen, we analyse the change of mathematical inclination between 2011 year and 2015 year freshmen who took college scholastic ability test which are based on the national mathematics curriculum 7th and 7th revision, respectively. In medium-sized D university, 2011 year and 2015 year engineering freshmen were taken the test for mathematical inclination, the survey for mathematical background and the recognition of college mathematics and basic mathematical ability test. The outcomes of this survey are followings: Firstly, between 2011 year and 2015 year freshmen, the mean of confidence and flexibility are same, but the 2015's mean of willpower, curiosity, value and esthetics are greater than 2011's. Secondly, in the mean of flexibility, willpower and curiosity, natural science's mean is greater than humanity's. Thirdly, the mean of mathematical inclination's factors is depend on college mathematics goal. Fourthly, there is little correlation between mathematical basic ability and mathematical inclination. Moreover for 2011 year and 2015 year freshmen, the mean of mathematical inclination's factors except value is proportional to mathematical basic ability. For the success of college mathematics in engineering college, this study suggests that high school mathematics curriculum and college scholastic ability test must contain calculus. We also suggest that college mathematics class must be focused on mathematical inclination improvement.

In order to prepare for changes in future society, cross-curricular learning is emphasized, and the need to link cross-curricular learning topics and subjects is increasing. However, there are few studies on how to deal with cross-curricular learning in mathematics education. This study analyzed the contents and methods of cross-curricular learning topics in subject-specific curriculum and mathematics textbooks. As a result of the study, the curriculum can be categorized into four types according to the variety of cross-curricular learning topics applied and the presence or absence of a main cross-curricular learning topic, and the mathematics curriculum belongs to the type where some cross-curricular learning topics are dealt with passively and there is no main topic. On the other hand, the analysis of 10 math textbooks for grades 5 and 6 according to the 2015 revised curriculum showed that, unlike the curriculum, various cross-curricular learning topics were applied in the textbooks, mainly environment and sustainable development education, safety and health education, career education, character education, and economic and financial education. In addition, in mathematics textbooks, cross-curricular learning topics appeared in various types such as materials, questions, explanations, illustrations, and in many cases, they appeared mainly as materials or illustrations. Based on these findings, implications were explored and suggested on how to integrate and apply cross-curricular learning topics in mathematics.
The purpose of this study is to derive implications for the development of the next curriculum and textbooks by comparing and analyzing the textbooks of the 2015 revised high school mathematics curriculum <Mathematics for Economics> and social studies curriculum <Economics>. In the <Mathematics for Economics> textbooks, economic terms and function notations should be introduced. Additionally, the use of graphs for economic-related functions is different from the use of graphs in mathematics in the <Mathematics for Economics> textbooks. For these reasons, the usage of economic terms, function notations, and function graphs covered in the <Mathematics for Economics> textbooks were compared and analyzed with the usage in the <Economics> textbooks. In the <Mathematics for Economics> textbooks, economic terms that are highly related to mathematics are defined and presented. Contrary to the conventions of mathematics and economics, the function notations in the <Mathematics for Economics> textbooks were used inconsistently because uppercase and lowercase letters were mixed in the function notations. Function graphs in the <Mathematics for Economics> textbooks had differences in the range of values represented by the variables regarding axes and scaling. The <Mathematics for Economics> textbooks did not provide a mathematical interpretation of the translation or slope. In the course of <Mathematics for Economics>, it is necessary to specify considerations for teaching and learning, and assessment in the curriculum to promote students' understanding of mathematics and economics. The descriptions in the curriculum document and textbooks of <Mathematics for Economics> should be supplemented to provide learning opportunities for mathematical interpretation of economics-related contents.
Comparison of curriculum between various countries is a major research method for studying a course and content quoted on Korea's national curriculum. Therefore this research focuses on comparing and analyzing a new curriculum which Australia has announced on 2012 and conducting since 2015. From this research result, we found that Australia's curriculum achievement shows some unique characteristics. Such examples can be dealing a concept with real life context and proposing a mathematical content specifically. Also they introduce the definite integral by defining to the sum of series. There are other characteristics such as modelling motion, and numerical integration which Korea's highschool curriculum achievement doesn't deal with, and the content of vector calculus is handled more deeply. As a result of analyzing Australia's textbook, it fully deals with the supplementary notion to help understand mathematical definition. Hence further research will be needed later on to relieve the aspect of cognitive burden on Korean learners.

Previous studies indicated that students tended to hold less satisfactory beliefs about the discipline of mathematics, beliefs about themselves as learners of mathematics, and beliefs about mathematics teaching and learning. However, only a few studies had developed curricular interventions to change students' beliefs. This study aimed to examine the effect of a problem-solving curriculum (i.e., Mathematical Problem Solving for Everyone, MProSE) on Singaporean Grade 7 students' beliefs about mathematical problem solving (MPS). Four classes (n =142) were engaged in ten lessons with each comprising four stages: understand the problem, devise a plan, carry out the plan, and look back. Heuristics and metacognitive control were emphasized during students' problem solving activities. Results indicated that the MProSE curriculum enabled some students to develop more satisfactory beliefs about MPS. Further path analysis showed that students' attitudes towards the MProSE curriculum are important predictors for their beliefs.
The purpose of this study was to specify knowledge and skills that are expected to be learned by students worldwide at the elementary level of Mathematics. This was achieved by extracting knowledge and skills commonly expected to know and perform in elementary school level by analyzing elementary math curriculum of twelve countries that vary geographically and economically. Based on the data gathered and analyzed, the common domains extracted from this study in elementary level Mathematics include Number and Operations, Geometry, Measurement and Data. And knowledge and skills that children are expected to achieve in each domain by the end of primary school were listed. This research showed that for elementary level Mathematics, the majority of the curricula had the commonalities in Number and Operations, Geometry, Measurement and Data. Though this study had the limitations of analyzing curriculum documents open to public, this study will offer the ground for discussion on the elementary mathematics education in a global context.
General and subject guideline for new curriculum are confirmed and plan to announced on September 2015. The development of instructional materials according to them will proceed. Because textbooks have the role and function to determine and control the direction and scope of teaching and learning, Textbook plays a very important role in the situation where teachers and students meet. Thus we get a significant effect depending on the structure of textbook. In this study, we analyzed differences of detail learning content according to high school textbooks focused on utilizing of definite integral. After creating the questionnaire based on it, The survey was conducted targeting for 369 high school mathematics teachers belong to 14 education offices of cities and provinces are polled out by accidental sampling method. Analyzing the results of the survey, We searched various teaching and learning method that arise due to differences of detail learning content according to high school textbooks and thereby it explored the impact on students' mathematics learning. Through this, Our intention is to offer implication about the structure of textbook detail learning contents and to derive the improvements about textbook compilation system.
Problems in mathematics textbooks are very important because there is a high reliance on textbooks in elementary school mathematics classes and there is a strong belief that mathematics is to find the solution to problems. Considering this importance, we analyzed problems in elementary mathematics textbooks quantitatively and qualitatively. Concretely, problems of addition and subtraction with carry on in the range of two digit numbers in the mathematics textbooks from the 1st to the 2015 national revised curriculum were analyzed. As a result, the problems in each textbook were found to reveal important features of the textbook reflecting changes in curriculum and educational background. And the problem of textbooks has changed in the direction of enhancing students' reasoning, communication, and problem solving ability. Based on these results, we suggested several implications for dealing with problems in elementary mathematics textbooks.
