  • In this paper we investigate the Artinianness of certain local cohomology modules $H^i_I(N)$ where N is a minimax module over a commutative Noetherian ring R and I is an ideal of R. Also, we characterize the set of attached prime ideals of $H^n_I(N)$, where n is the dimension of N.

  • We consider zero-divisor graphs with respect to primal, nonprimal, weakly prime and weakly primal ideals of a commutative ring R with non-zero identity. We investigate the interplay between the ringtheoretic properties of R and the graph-theoretic properties of ${\Gamma}_I(R)$ for some ideal I of R. Also we show that the zero-divisor graph with respect to primal ideals commutes by localization.

  • Let R be a commutative ring with total quotient ring K. Each monomorphic R-module endomorphism of a cyclic R-module is an isomorphism if and only if R has Krull dimension 0. Each monomorphic R-module endomorphism of R is an isomorphism if and only if R = K. We say that R has property (${\star}$) if for each nonzero element $a{\in}R$, each monomorphic R-module endomorphism of R/Ra is an isomorphism. If R has property (${\star}$), then each nonzero principal prime ideal of R is a maximal ideal, but the converse is false, even for integral domains of Krull dimension 2. An integral domain R has property (${\star}$) if and only if R has no R-sequence of length 2; the "if" assertion fails in general for non-domain rings R. Each treed domain has property (${\star}$), but the converse is false.

  • We show that, if R is a graded Noetherian ring and I is a proper ideal of R generated by n homogeneous elements, then any prime ideal of R minimal over I has h-height ${\leq}$ n, and that if R is a graded Noetherian domain with h-dim R ${\leq}$ 2, then the integral closure R' of R is also a graded Noetherian domain with h-dim R' ${\leq}$ 2. We also present a short improved proof of the result that, if R is a graded Noetherian domain, then the integral closure of R is a graded Krull domain.

  • In [2], they found some natural generators for the ideals of the finite ring $Z_{pm}$[X]/$(X^n\;-\;1)$, where p and n are relatively prime. If p and n are not relatively prime $X^n\;-\;1$ is not a product of basic irreducible polynomials but a product of primary polynomials. Due to this fact, to consider the ideals of $Z_{pm}$[X]/$(X^n\;-\;1)$ in 'inseparable' case we need to look at the primary ideals of $Z_{pm}$[X]. In this paper, we find a set of generators of ideals of $Z_{pm}$[X]/(f) for some primary polynomials f of $Z_{pm}$[X].

  • We discuss the condition that every nonzero right annihilator of an element contains a nonzero ideal, as a generalization of the insertion-of-factors-property. A ring with such condition is called right AP. We prove that a ring R is right AP if and only if Dn(R) is right AP for every n ≥ 2, where Dn(R) is the ring of n by n upper triangular matrices over R whose diagonals are equal. Properties of right AP rings are investigated in relation to nilradicals, prime factor rings and minimal order.

  • We study the structure of right regular commutators, and call a ring R strongly C-regular if ab - ba ∈ (ab - ba)2R for any a, b ∈ R. We first prove that a noncommutative strongly C-regular domain is a division algebra generated by all commutators; and that a ring (possibly without identity) is strongly C-regular if and only if it is Abelian C-regular (from which we infer that strong C-regularity is left-right symmetric). It is proved that for a strongly C-regular ring R, (i) if R/W(R) is commutative, then R is commutative; and (ii) every prime factor ring of R is either a commutative domain or a noncommutative division ring, where W(R) is the Wedderburn radical of R.

  • Let $k$ be a real abelian field and $k_{\infty}$ be its $\mathbb{Z}_p$-extension for an odd prime $p$. Let $A_n$ be the Sylow $p$-subgroup of the ideal class group of $k_n$, the $nth$ layer of the $\mathbb{Z}_p$-extension. By using the main conjecture of Iwasawa theory, we have the following: If $p$ does not divide $\prod_{{{\chi}{\in}\hat{\Delta}_k},{\chi}{\neq}1}B_{1,{\chi}{\omega}^{-1}$, then $A_n$ = {0} for all $n{\geq}0$, where ${\Delta}_k=Gal(k/\mathbb{Q})$ and ${\omega}$ is the Teichm$\ddot{u}$ller character for $p$. The converse of this statement does not hold in general. However, we have the following when $k$ is of prime conductor $q$: Let $q$ be an odd prime different from $p$. and let $k$ be a real subfield of $\mathbb{Q}({\zeta}_q)$. If $p{\mid}{\prod}_{{\chi}{\in}\hat{\Delta}_{k,p},{\chi}{\neq}1}B_{1,{\chi}{\omega}}-1$, then $A_n{\neq}\{0\}$ for all $n{\geq}1$, where ${\Delta}_{k,p}$ is the $Gal(k_{(p)}/\mathbb{Q})$ and $k_{(p)}$ is the decomposition field of $k$ for $p$.

  • In this paper, a skew polynomial ring $R[x;\alpha]$ of a ring R with a monomorphism $\alpha$ are investigated as follows: For a reduced ring R, assume that $\alpha(P){\subseteq}P$ for any minimal prime ideal P in R. Then (i) $R[x;\alpha]$ is a reduced ring, (ii) a ring R is Baer(resp. quasi-Baer, p.q.-Baer, a p.p.-ring) if and only if the skew polynomial ring $R[x;\alpha]$ is Baer(resp. quasi-Baer, p.q.-Baer, a p.p.-ring).
