The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in perceived importance of mathematical education (perceived importance) and mathematical interaction of 5-year-olds' mothers according to contents of mathematical education. Second, we intended to examine whether mothers' understanding of purpose of mathematical education predicted on their perceived importance and mathematical interaction. Third, we analyzed relative influence between mothers' perceived effectiveness of concrete materials and worksheets on their perceived importance and mathematical interaction. The subjects consisted of 151 mothers of 5-year-olds lived in D city and K province in Korea. The results were as follows: First, mothers' perceived importance and mathematical interaction were higher in 'number and arithmetic'. Second, mothers' understanding of purpose of mathematical education predicted their perceived importance in all contents and mathematical interaction in 'number and arithmetic', 'geometry', and 'algebra'. Third, mothers' perceived effectiveness of concrete materials predicted better in most contents of mathematical education. Meanwhile, in 'number and operation', mothers' perceived effectiveness of worksheets did a predictive role in their importance awareness. These results were discussed in terms of necessity of a parent education program to provide practical information about contents and methods of mathematical education for their 5-year-old children.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the determinants of the effectiveness in food safety policy, focusing on the perception of consumers. For this, we apply ordered logit analysis using "The Survey on the Attitudes towards Food Safety Policy" data investigated by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism & Ministry of Food, and Drug Safety. According to the results of the analysis, policy literacy has a significant positive impact on the effectiveness of the policy. Trust has a positive impact on the effectiveness of the policy significantly. In addition, the results show that sensitivity has a significant negative impact on the effectiveness perceived by consumers. This study imply that the government should give more information about policies and make an effort to gain trust on food safety policy.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the disability awareness program and to search for its development plan. For this, the disability awareness program was developed and lecturers were educated. And it had been exercised and examined its effect to 508 people including elementary, middle and high school students and adults nationwide from June to October in 2017. To examine the effect of the program, Disability Awareness Index developed by Korean Foundation for Persons with Disabilities was used. It was also examined on the change of the disability awareness(understanding disability and human rights of disabled) and of the knowledge about discrimination and differentiation. Pre-post tests based on the experimental design were performed and data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired t-test, independent t-test and ANOVA. The research results showed as follows; Disability awareness was improved significantly and knowledge about discrimination and differentiation were enhanced after attending the program. Also, it was found that the factors like gender, age, and program types made significant difference to the effects of the program. Based on the research results, this study suggested for the development disability awareness program and the directions for future studies.

This study aims to examine the effect of employees' CSR perception on creativity via compassion along with the moderating effect of CSR authenticity. For the research procedure, frequency analysis and CFA analysis were performed after sample collection, hypothesis verification and moderating effect verification were performed. We conducted an empirical analysis using 360 employees from large-sized companies in Korea. First, the results showed that CSR perception was positively related to employees' compassion. Second, compassion was also positively related to creativity. Third, the positive relationship between CSR perception and creativity was mediated by compassion, and the aforementioned mediated relationship was moderated by CSR authenticity. Therefore, our study findings imply that, when employees perceive CSR, they will not only form compassion emotions but also will display more creativity especially when they perceive the authenticity of CSR.

Motorcycle patrol is used for traffic control and enforcement in highly congested areas. One of the major problems with this form of patrol is that it is extremely dangerous since just about any type of accident tends to cause harm to the rider. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of police motorcycle patrol, and to suggest the methods for improving the effectiveness of police motorcycle patrol. This study conducts the survey on 139 policemen that belong to Daejeon Provincial Police Agency that had implemented motorcycle patrol. By factor analysis, the intimacy between policemen and citizens, the excellence of patrol devices, the speed of response, and the appropriacy of patrol method are grouped as the independent variables. And the dependent variable is the effectiveness of police motorcycle patrol. The results of this study demonstrates that the effectiveness of police motorcycle patrol is affected statistically by the speed of response, the appropriacy of patrol, and the intimacy between policemen and citizens. But, the intimacy between policemen and citizens affected the effectiveness negatively. Therefore, police department must make the effort for increasing the speed of response and enhancing the appropriacy of patrol. Also, police department must make patrolmen sincerely conscious of the value of police-community relation.

This study intended to verify the importance and effectiveness of youth economic education by examining how perception towards youth economic education affects creativity, sociability and leadership in an age of convergence. As a result of the online survey, perception towards the importance of youth economic education affirmatively affected creativity and the perception towards effectiveness of youth economic education affirmatively affected creativity, sociability and leadership. Moreover, creativity, sociability, and leadership were higher when interest in economic education was high. This study showed that affirmative perception and interest towards youth economic education are effective in developing creativity, sociability and leadership.

After the enactment of the Personal Information Protection Act, policies and activities for the personal information protection have been actively promoted. However the people are showing negative attitudes about personal information, as the ongoing personal data leakages. Therefore, authors tried to empirical analysis of the effectiveness of national policy on the protection of personal information, using SERVQUAL model, focused on the people's perception, in order to identify that how the people recognized current policy. Authors find that the public has perceived the effectiveness of the policy positively, but the level of their awareness is low. And we identify that the people are highly aware of the policy's effectiveness for Immediacy, Convenience and Responsibility, while they have the lowest effectiveness for Efficiency. The policy's improvement focused on the public's low expectations/perceptions and effectiveness awareness, is required in order to develop people-oriented national privacy policy that are satisfied by the people.

Recognizing the necessity of content-centered teacher professional development programs in a rapidly changing educational environments, this study analyzed the contents of teacher professional development programs in terms of teachers' participation by program contents and teachers' perception of the necessity and the effectiveness of such program contents. Employing Teaching and Learning International Survey(TALIS), this study analyzed the perception of 4,000 Korean secondary school teachers. The results showed that the programs with the highest teacher participation were mainly subject-centered while the teacher participation rates on the newly required contents such as ICT, intercultural counseling, school management and administration, and new job skills were low. Besides, when teachers were asked to identify the content areas where teacher professional developments are needed, the level of teachers' perception of the programs with low participation rates was accordingly low. Lastly, this study implies that since the years of teaching experience serve as a determinant on the types of the contents that teacher professional developments are needed and on the teachers' perception of the effectiveness of such contents, the course of teacher development should be taken into consideration when the contents of teacher professional development programs are developed.

This study analyzed the perception of effectiveness and satisfaction according to learners' background variables and characteristics in online gifted education program. The participants included 630 middle and high school students who attended the 3-months online gifted program. Participants volunteerly surveyed on background and characteristics such as gender, grade, subjects, self-efficacy of internet, and self-regulated learning, and the effectiveness and satisfaction of the online gifted education program. T-test, ANOVA, and MANOVA were conducted to analyze the effect of students' background and characteristics on various dependent variables. The results of this study showed that (1) overall, participants perceived the effectiveness of the online gifted program positively; (2) participants perceived the satisfaction of the online gifted program positively. In specific, they perceived system satisfaction higher than interaction satisfaction. (3) the personal characteristics which impacted on both effectiveness and satisfaction were grade, self-efficacy of internet, and self-regulated learning. Suggestion for the online gifted education program were discussed.

정서를 측정하고 나타내는 기술이 발전에 따라 문화적 보편성을 가진 얼굴표정 연구의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 그리고 지금까지의 많은 얼굴 표정 연구들은 정적인 얼굴사진 위주로 이루어졌다. 그러나 실제 사람들은 단적인 얼굴표정만으로 정서를 인식하기 보다는 미묘한 표정의 변화나 얼굴근육의 움직임 등을 통해 정서상태를 추론한다. 본 연구는 동적인 얼굴표정이 정적인 얼굴표정 보다 정서상태 전달에서 더 큰 효과를 가짐을 밝히고, 동적인 얼굴 표정에서의 눈과 입의 정서인식 효과를 비교해 보고자 하였다. 이에 따라 15 개의 형용사 어휘에 맞는 얼굴 표정을 얼굴전체, 눈, 입의 세 수준으로 나누어 동영상과 스틸사진으로 제시하였다. 정서 판단의 정확성을 측정한 결과, 세 수준 모두에서 동영상의 정서인식 효과가 스틸사진 보다 유의미하게 높게 나타나 동적인 얼굴 표정이 더 많은 내적정보를 보여주는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 얼굴전체-눈-입 순서로 정서인식 효과의 차이가 유의미하게 나타났으며, 부정적 정서는 눈에서 더 잘 나타나고 긍정적 정서는 입에서 더 잘 나타났다. 따라서 눈과 입에 따른 정서인식이 정서의 긍정성-부정성 차원에 따라 달라짐을 볼 수 있었다.
