Facial expressions decide an image for the individual, and the ability to interpret emotion from facial expressions is the core of human relations, hence recognizing emotion through facial expression is important enough to change attitude and decisions between individuals within social relations. Children with unstable attachment development, seniors, autistic group, ADHD children and depression group showed low performance results in facial expression recognizing ability tasks, and active interventions with such groups anticipates possibilities of prevention and therapeutic effects for psychological disabilities. The quantified figures that show detailed change in position of lips, eyes and cheeks anticipates for possible applications in diverse fields such as human sensibility ergonomics, korean culture and art contents, therapeutical and educational applications to overcome psychological disabilities and as methods of non-verbal communication in the globalizing multicultural society to overcome cultural differences.
In today's business environment, not only human resources management but work efficiency is getting substantial attention as well. Employees are one of the most significant and valuable resources in an organization who can play a critical role in accomplishing organizational goals and purposes. This study examines the effect of employee job satisfaction(affective and cognitive satisfaction) on job performance. Furthermore, this study examines the moderating effect of leadership type (transactional and servant leadership) between job satisfaction on job performance. As a result, affective and cognitive satisfaction were shown to positively affect employee job performance. Especially, cognitive satisfaction has more influenced on job performance than affective satisfaction. Second, transactional and servant leadership were not shown to affect employee job performance. However, transactional leadership had a moderating effect between job satisfaction on job performance.

This study examined the effects of a non-smoking program according to the stress and emotional condition of male office workers. As research subjects, 106 smokers at C company who participated in the campaign of "No Second-Hand Smoking and No Cigarette Smoke at Work" from April 25, 2011 to December, 2011 for 8 months were enrolled in this study. Apreliminary survey of the general characteristics, motivation to quit smoking, emotional condition, behavior to cope with stress, stress in life, hope, and the emotional variables of job satisfaction in the research subjects was carried out. The study undertook a pre-and-post effect analysis of the non-smoking program only with those who succeeded in quitting smoking. In terms of the general characteristics of the subjects, the success rate of quitting smoking was higher in those in their thirties and above and those who were married. No significant difference in the emotional variables was observed between those who were not successful and those who were. These results suggest that the motives for stopping smoking and effective dealing with stress or anxiety is important for male office workers to succeed in stopping smoking, based on which smoking cessation programs should be developed. In addition, the message of a smoking cessation campaign should be designed specifically for each target audience, effectively emphasizing the emotional aspects of each target group.
The purpose of the current study was to examine dual mediation effect of executive function deficiencies and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies in the relation of smartphone addiction and subjective well-being and to suggest implications for adult smartphone addiction intervention programs. A self-report survey was conducted to 148 adults(71 males and 77 females) and the mediation effect was evaluated by regression analyses. Key findings are as follows. First, executive function deficiencies showed mediation effect on the relationship between smartphone addiction and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies. Second, significant mediation effect of adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies was not found on the relationship between smartphone addiction and subjective well-being. Finally, the relation of smarphone addiction and subjective well-being was mediated by executive function deficiencies and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies. These results imply that it would be helpful to train executive function and foster emotion regulation strategies to the adult smartphone addiction groups. Finally, limitations of this study and suggestions for future research of the entire adult age group were discussed.
Previous studies on texture and emotion have focused on identifying precisely which tactile stimuli trigger specific emotions. Despite the significant role of vision in tactile perception, research has so far only focused on the singular aspect of texture. In this study, we used tactile stimuli to investigate the effects of three variables-roughness, hardness, and visual blocking-on the affective responses to tactile perception. The experimental stimuli that can be encountered in daily life were selected based on the four conditions of "rough/hard," "rough/soft," "smooth/hard" and "smooth/soft" by crossing two roughness conditions (rough, smooth) and two hardness conditions (hard, soft). The experiment was divided into two sessions depending on whether or not visual blocking existed. Participants completed a session in which they evaluated a tactile stimulus after touching it without seeing it and then proceeded with a session in which they evaluated a stimulus after touching it with sight of it. The results of the repeated-measures ANOVA showed that individuals reported a more positive perception when touching stimuli with visual cues and more negative when touching stimuli without visual cues. Furthermore, the inclination to perceive smooth and soft stimuli more positively and rough stimuli more negatively was stronger when touching without visual cues. The results of this study suggest implications for enhancing the understanding of the interaction between emotion and visual information processing by elucidating how emotions are experienced differently in situations where visual information is provided and where it is not.
This study compared the nature of disgust caused by the crime scene with that by the stereotype of the sexual-minority defendant, and compared the effect of each type of disgust on evidence evaluation and legal judgment. A total of 600 participants (300 men, average age of 44.40) were randomly assigned to sources of disgust (crime scene, sexual minorities defendant, control condition), the existence of additional evidence of innocence (o/x), and the existence of judicial directives (o/x). As a result of the study, disgust under the condition of a cruel crime scene with strong physical disgust was significantly higher than that of the sexual minority defendant, interpreted the evidence in a more guilty direction, and was more prone to_evaluate that the defendant was guilty. It is noteworthy that evidence evaluation was a significant moderating variable between disgust and probability of guilt under conditions where the source of disgust was a sexual minority, but not under control conditions and crime scene condition. It means that the effect of disgust on legal judgment may not be direct when the defendant is a sexual minority. In addition, the existence of the judicial instruction had a significant inverse effect on the sentence. And simple effect analysis found that presenting judicial instruction lowered probability of guilt only under the control condition. This makes it reasonable to infer that disgust derived from the characteristics of the crime scene and the defendant can be recognized as integral emotions that are difficult to correct with instructions. Finally, pity for the defendant was significantly higher under the conditions of sexual minority which shows that an emotional response of sympathy may occur in addition to disgust for sexual minorities. After examining the nature of disgust (physical & moral), legal judgment according to the source and degree of disgust was reviewed. In addition, the meaning of disgust and sympathy for the sexual minority defendant was discussed.
This study was performed to investigate main psychological phenomena and healing process through qualitative analysis on the 115 handwriting healing experience in the forest. Main psychological phenomena experienced in the forest were important in order happiness, comfort, and understanding. The process of healing in the forest was first characterized by emotional changes, and was led to cognitive changes and behavioral changes. Healing stage of the forest has followed with six steps of stimulus, accommodating, purification, insight, filling, and change. This process was associated with nature sympathetic, rapport with oneself, and with the world. Previous studies, which were focused on the measurement of transient state after the comparative study between control and experimental groups, could not verify the continuity and process of psychological healing. this study suggests a new approach to understand the subjective psychological phenomena and healing processes in the forest, and will be a basis for developing and performing of forest healing program.

The purpose of this paper is to study renovation plan of value chain from a user's viewpoint by making practical application of digital technology. And it is surely meaningful to investigate the important motivation factors of continuous using smart-phone, and to analyze the improving effect toward to the quality of life in continuous using smart-phone. By this study we can expect the value improving effect of user experience. The results of hypothesis testing can be summarized as follows: First, the hypothesis that positive affect has a plus effect on pragmatic value is accepted. Secondly, the hypothesis that positive affect has a plus effect on hedonic value is accepted. Thirdly, the hypothesis that negative affect has a minus effect on pragmatic value is accepted. Fourthly, the hypothesis that negative affect has a minus effect on pragmatic value is rejected. Fifthly, the hypothesis that pragmatic value has a plus effect on life satisfaction is accepted. Sixthly, the hypothesis that hedonic value has a plus effect on life satisfaction is rejected. In the competition among enterprises, user experience instead of goods themselves became influential as a differential factor. And many advanced enterprises began taking a serious view of customer's happiness and user experience improvement.
Emotion in early childhood has been observed to make an important effect on behavioral development. The teacher has coached to develop good behavior based on considering emotional response rather than rational response. This study was to determine significance of emotional coaching for behavior development according emotion recognized by non-verbal measurement system developed specially in this study. The participants were 44 people and were asked to study in four experimental situation. The experiment was designed to four situation such as class without coaching, behavioral coaching, emotion coaching, and emotion coaching based on emotional recognition system. The dependent variables were subjective evaluation, behavioral amplitude, and HRC (Heart Rhythm Coherence) of heart response. The results showed the highest positive evaluation, behavioral amplitude, and HRC at emotion coaching based on emotional recognition system. In post-doc analysis, the subjective evaluation showed no difference between emotion coaching and system based emotion coaching. However, the behavioral amplitude and HRC showed a significant response between two coaching situation. In conclusion, quantitative data such as behavioral amplitude and HRC was expected to solve the ambiguity of subjective evaluation. The emotion coaching of teacher using emotional recognition system was can be to improve positive emotion and psychological stability for children.

This study adopts an ecological perspective to empirically navigate the issues surrounding the impact of parental abuse on the emotional development of adolescents. The data is used from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2011 (KCYPS 2011), which was conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute (n=2,270). Path models were constructed in which adolescents' environmental mediators (i.e., the relationship with parents, friends, and teachers; and school life) control their negative emotions (i.e., aggressiveness, negative physical symptoms, social weakness and depression); in turn to compare the difference between two groups based on parental abuse by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). As with the non-abused group (n=1,644), all the environmental mediators remained significant to control their negative emotion; whereas, the abused group (n=626) showed no significant pathway from their relationship with teachers and school life to negative emotion. This indicates that the abused group have limited number of the mediators to control their negative emotion than those of the non-abused group. For the non-abused group, the mediator with the highest total effect to control their negative emotion was the relationship with their friends; on the other hand, the abused group's mediator that showed the highest total effect to control their negative emotion was the relationship with their parents. Although the relationship with teachers remained significant as a mediator to affect school life for the both groups, teachers were not significant to control the negative emotion of the abused group. These findings suggest that the negative relationship with teachers in the abused group is a factor to threat the school adaptation of adolescents, which also leads to problems that are related to the emotional development of adolescents.
