Study on Validity of SDLRS Instrument for Evaluation of Life-Long Outcome (평생학습 학습성과 평가를 위한 자기주도학습 준비도 검사도구(SDLRS)의 타당성 연구)

  • The purpose of the study was to verify reliability and validity of SDLRS instrument and to prove up possibility of usage as an evaluation method for evaluating life-long learning. Literature review and survey were used to accomplish objectives of the study. 218 students in department of mechanical engineering of A university at Gyunggi province were responded for SDLRS(Guglielmino, 1977) instrument. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, and ANOVA test. 58 items in original version instrument were converted to 23 items. There were 7 factors for assessing the self-directed learning readiness according to this measurement scale with a total variance of about 58%. The total reliability of the final 23 items was $\alpha$. The final 7 factors consisted of love for learning, openness for learning, self-perception, basic learning function and independence, acceptance of responsibility for learning, leadership and future directivity, and creativity and exploration. The result of SDLRS analysis according to individual background, there were significant statistically in the grade, period of employment in industry, entering graduate school or not, and GPA, but no significant statistically in sexual difference, employment in industry or not, final academic level of parent, and income level of the family. In the future, final instrument will be needed to check in the respect of correlation with another ability and skill influencing on life-long learning, and more study will be done for developing life-long learning.

  • In this study, we designed and developed a tool to help teachers select and develop effective performance assessment criteria considering characteristics of individual learners. Using this tool, we can analyze preferences of teachers and characteristics of students for each rubric by exploring the classification and association rules through data mining. Those findings can give us guidelines and insights for the development and the selection of performance assessment criteria. The classification rules found are used for the learner-centered evaluation reflecting learners' interests, capabilities, and circumstances. Association rules found are utilized for analyzing teachers' preference, which enable to reduce time and efforts for the development and selection of rubric. Also, this tool supports creation, change, and selection of teachers' rubric linked with the performance assessment of NEIS(National Education Information System).

  • Though the 'Program Educational Objectives' is the first and important criterion in ABEEK's engineering education accreditation, exact meaning and implementation methods have not been understood well. It was often confused with 'Program Outcomes' and its implementation and evaluation methods do not reflected well on the concepts of "outcomes based and demand driven education". A new implementation model for 'Program Educational Objectives' has been developed using step by step application. The model explains the meaning of every step (phase), and key constituents in each phase. The specialization and CQI of the program could be satisfied by applying the model properly.

  • 본 연구는 u-Campus 환경에서 교수능력(teaching skill)을 향상시키기 위한 평가시스템을 설계하고 개발하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 수업효율성과 교수평가에 관한 이론을 고찰하고, 선행 프로그램들을 분석하여 시스템에 포함되어야 할 효율적인 수업행동 평가요소를 추출하였다. 추출된 평가요소를 바탕으로 u-Campus 환경에서 교수능력(teaching skill)을 향상을 위한 요소 즉, 교수-학습활동, 교수-학습활동 평가, 포트폴리오 활용 및 공유, 유비쿼터스 기술, 데이터베이스 영역을 반영하여 시스템을 설계하고 프로토타입(proto type)을 개발하였다. 그리고 이러한 프로토타입(proto type)의 개발은 기존의 평가 방법과 달리 교수 자신의 평가에서 시작하여 본인의 의지에 따라 영역을 넓히면서 평가에 대한 부담을 덜며 교수능력(teaching skill)을 향상시킬 수 있고, u-Campus 환경에서 평가가 어떠한 과정과 방법으로 이루어져야 하는지에 대한 안내를 제공할 것이다. 본 연구가 제시한 u-Campus 환경의 교수능력(teaching skill) 향상을 위한 평가시스템은 교수자의 발전은 물론 대학교육의 질적인 발전에 도움이 될 것이다.

Affective Outcome According to KCUE-Q1(Korean College and University Education Questionnaire) in Nursing Students (간호대학생의 KCUE-Q1(Korean College & University Education Questionnaire)에 따른 비인지적 학습성과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the affective outcome according to KCUE-Q1 in nursing students. The survey was performed with 424 nursing students of 3-year or 4-year that scheduled to graduate from college. Collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The level of affective outcome was 2.69. The affective outcome was significantly different according to gender, grade, nursing education accreditation and club activity. Learning passion showed a positive correlation with learning experience and educational outcome. Learning experience showed a positive correlation with leaning passion and educational outcome. The findings of this study indicates a need to develop outcome-based nursing curriculum for nursing students. It is also necessary to evaluate affective outcome in undergraduate nursing students.

  • For evaluation nursing research program outcome, this study conducted to identify the critical thinking disposition and problem solving inventory through the nursing research course practiced in the nursing bachelor degree program and to confirm the relation with the nursing research course outcome. The subjects were 161 nursing students in the third grade. Critical thinking disposition, problem solving inventory and nursing research learning outcomes of before and after the course were analyzed by paired t-test. Linear regression was performed to identify the factors influencing the learners' course outcomes. The nursing research curriculum has improved intellectual passion, systemicity and intellectual fairness among sub-factors of critical thinking disposition and problem solving inventory. A research proposal appraisal and critical thinking disposition can be used with written examination for evaluation nursing research program outcome and nursing research competency of nursing student.

Development of the Evaluation System for Learning Outcomes of Capstone Design Course (캡스톤디자인 교과목의 학습성과 평가체계 개발)

  • This paper introduces a case study on the development of the evaluation system for capstone design course which is usually provided at engineering education program. A capstone design is an engineering education course which aims to improve the students' ability on analysis and design of practical industrial problems by use of overall engineering knowledge which has been learned in undergraduate program. Firstly, this paper provides a literature review on evaluation indices and methods related with a capstone design course. Secondly, the evaluation system for learning outcomes of capstone design course is described. The evaluation system for learning outcomes of capstone design course provided in this paper could be referred by other universities opening a capstone design course, and used to design an evaluation system for internship program or education course which is provided as an industry-academic connection program.

Effect on Core Nursing Competency of Nursing Students who Experienced Convergence Practice due to COVID-19 (코로나19로 인한 융합실습을 경험한 간호대학생의 핵심간호역량에 미치는 영향)

  • This exploratory study aims to identify effect on core nursing competency of nursing students who experienced convergence practice due to COVID-19. The subjects of this study surveyed 123 senior nursing students in U city with a structured self-report questionnaire analyzed by the SPSS 22.0 software, t-test, One-way ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The average scores for nursing competence scale, self-directed learning ability, learning satisfaction, learning outcomes were 3.99, 3.71, 4.11 and 4.25 out of 5.00. The factors affecting of students' nursing competencies were self-directed learning ability, learning outcomes with 29 percent being explained by these variables. Learning satisfaction did not affect core nursing competency. Through this study we found that high quality educational environment should be prepared to improve these limitations. it is considered that a clear and systematic standard for the educational environment and evaluation of clinical practice is needed.

  • 최근 TV 서비스의 가입자 및 TV 프로그램 콘텐츠의 급격한 증가에 따라 빅데이터 처리에 적합한 추천 시스템의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 본 논문은 사용자들의 간접 평가 데이터 기반의 추천 시스템 디자인 시, 누적된 사용자의 과거 이용내역 데이터를 저장하지 않고 새로 생성된 사용자 이용내역 데이터를 학습하는 효율적인 알고리즘이면서, 시간 흐름에 따라 사용자들의 선호도 변화 및 TV 프로그램 스케줄 변화의 추적이 가능한 토픽 모델링 기반의 알고리즘을 제안한다. 빅데이터 처리를 위해서는 분산처리 형태의 알고리즘을 피할 수 없는데, 기존의 연구들 중 토픽 모델링 기반의 추론 알고리즘의 병렬분산처리 과정 중에 핵심이 되는 부분은 많은 데이터를 여러 대의 기계에 나누어 병렬분산 학습하면서 전역변수 데이터를 동기화하는 부분이다. 그런데, 이러한 전역데이터 동기화 기술에 있어, 여러 대의 컴퓨터를 병렬분산처리하기위한 하둡 기반의 시스템 및 서버-클라이언트간의 중재, 고장 감내 시스템 등을 모두 고려한 알고리즘들이 제안되어 왔으나, 네트워크 대역폭 한계로 인해 데이터 증가에 따른 동기화 시간 지연은 피할 수 없는 부분이다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 빅데이터 처리를 위해 사용자들을 클러스터링하고, 클러스터별 제안 알고리즘으로 전역데이터 동기화를 수행한 것과 지역 데이터를 활용하여 추론 연산한 결과, 클러스터별 지역별 TV프로그램 시청 토큰 별 은닉토픽 할당 테이블을 유지할 때 추천 성능이 더욱 향상되어 나오는 결과를 확인하여, 제안된 구조의 추천 시스템 디자인의 효율성과 합리성을 확인할 수 있었다.

A Study on Performance Measurement of Generational Diversity Company using Balanced Scorecard (BSC): The case of Japanese Companies (균형성과평가(BSC)모델을 활용한 청년·고령자 고용상생기업의 경영성과측정 -일본의 사례분석을 중심으로-)

  • This study aims at analyzing the management strategy and performance of companies that have been pursuing Generational Diversity. The management strategies were examined in terms of production, organizational structure and skill development. Performance was then evaluated using Balanced Scorecard (BSC). We selected four Japanese companies that practice Generational Diversity between the younger(age less then 34) and older generation(age older then 65). Our findings suggest the following. The common management strategies of the four companies include 1) creating generation-diverse teams 2) ensuring flexible work arrangements and 3) providing skill training programs. These strategies have yield positive outcomes such as sales increase, cost reduction (financial perspective) and expansion of the market share (customer perspective). Non-financial performance includes improvement of product and service quality (internal business perspective) and skill improvement of both the young and the old workers (learning and growth perspective). This study provides practical implications to domestic companies for their successful management of generational diversity in workplace.
