  • In the future, the design of road should be convenient in using of high-technology information and it needs the design of alignment that is able to make the maximum vehicles inducement function appropriated for CNS(Car Navigation System). So it needs to analysis appropriately the alignment of road for the improvement design of road which is established and to make the design of road and the coordinate of the main points. Therefore, this research had acquired the road data by RTK-GPS to accurate the analysis of road alignment and compared with Total Station. As the result, we could acquire the design source of the road alignment using RTK-GPS. Also, it was estimated the accuracy after comparing the design with RTK-GPS coordinates. We made an analysis of the degree of slant or the ups and downs of surface. We made an analysis of three dimensional visual information which was included in GSIS concept and estimated the accuracy. Finally, we analyzed the earth volume calculation by comparing with Total Station.

  • Nowadays information is very important for Civil Engineering. This information is acquiredmostly via Surveying & Geo-spatial Information System. Also this information is close to the ITS(Intelligent Transformation System), Navigation, Facility Management, and Digital Mapping, etc and applicable to versatile fields from now on. And in surveying fields, GPS satellites are introduced newly and play a great rules. In this study, RTK(Real-Time Kinematic GPS), one of the positioning technology with GPS satellites, is used for the production of Plane Figure of Campus. The results shows that it is possible to extract the information for some part of a flowerbed and road, but not so for the buildings surrounded. Therefore this give occasion to the a lowering of work effectiveness over the total work-flow. So at such a time, it will be expected that the supplementary systems such TS(Total Station), Plane-table, and theodolite, etc have to be used.

  • This study is concerned about the comparison of accuracy between the plane table survey and the transit survey in the boundary survey. Up to the present, the plane table survey is used for the boundary survey in Korea the plane table survey usually causes both human and mechanical observational errors large enough. In this study, both the plane table survey and the transit survey using total station were used and the same points were measured from the same station. As the results, the positional error has 2~20 cm in plan table survey and 0~2 cm in the transit survey. Thus the transit survey is considerably accurate compared to the plane table survey in the boundary survey.

  • The aim of this study is to represent the effective method for undertaking cadastral surveying works through analyzing and comparison of the surveying results both Total Station and GPS surveying techniques. in the value of coordinate of land parcels, the surveying results of using Total Station and Real Time Kinematic GPS surveying are compared and anayzed. As a results, each axis X and Y differences are ${\Delta}X=0.02m\;and\;{\Delta}Y=0.02$. Therefore the latter surveying method is available to use for production of numerical casdastral map at a large scale and for field surveying in farmland adjustment area. Furthermore travers surveying is not needed to be done when horizontal position of the boundary of a land parcel is determined by the method of RTK. It is recognized as a effective and efficient method in rapaid, accurate and economical aspects.

  • AT(Aerial Triangulation) is the essential procedure for creating orthophoto and transforming coordinates on the photographs into the real world coordinates utilizing GCPs (Ground Control Point) which is obtained by field survey and the external orientation factors from GPS/INS as a reference coordinates. In this procedure, all of the GCPs can be collected from field survey using GPS and Total Station, or obtained from digital maps. Collecting GCPs by field survey is accurate than GCPs from digital maps; however, lots of manpower should be put into the collecting procedure, and time and cost as well. On the other hand, in the case of obtaining GCPs from digital maps, it is very difficult to secure the required accuracy because almost things at each stage in the collecting procedure should rely on the subjective judgement of the performer. In this study, the results from three methods have been compared for the accuracy assessment in order to know if the results of each case is within the allowance error: for the perceivable objects such as road boarder, speed bumps, constructions etc., 1) GCPs selection utilizing the unique LiDAR intensity value reflected from such objects, 2) using LiDAR DSM and 3) GCPs from field survey. And also, AT and error analysis have been carried out w ith GCPs obtained by each case.

  • GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver among various sensors mounted on UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) helps to perform various functions such as hovering flight and waypoint flight based on GPS signals. GPS receiver can be used in an environment where GPS signals are smoothly received. However, recently, the use of UAV has been diversifying into various fields such as facility monitoring, delivery service and leisure as UAV's application field has been expended. For this reason, GPS signals may be interrupted by UAV's flight in a shadow area where the GPS signal is limited. Multipath can also include various noises in the signal, while flying in dense areas such as high-rise buildings. In this study, we used analytical photogrammetry and auto tracking total station technique for 3D positioning of UAV. The analytical photogrammetry is based on the bundle adjustment using the collinearity equations, which is the geometric principle of the center projection. The auto tracking total station technique is based on the principle of tracking the 360 degree prism target in units of seconds or less. In both techniques, the target used for positioning the UAV is mounted on top of the UAV and there is a geometric separation in the x, y and z directions between the targets. Data were acquired at different speeds of 0.86m/s, 1.5m/s and 2.4m/s to verify the flight speed of the UAV. Accuracy was evaluated by geometric separation of the target. As a result, there was an error from 1mm to 12.9cm in the x and y directions of the UAV flight. In the z direction with relatively small movement, approximately 7cm error occurred regardless of the flight speed.

  • Nowadays, the Surveying field is growing rapidly in terms of technology such as TS(Total Station) surveying, photographic surveying, digital aerial photogrammetry, utilization of GIS(Geographic Information System) using high-resolution satellite imagery, obtaining 3D Coordinate using GPS. But control point surveying, benchmark measuring, and field Surveying are still performed by the engineers in the field. So, 3D yerrestrial laser scanner comes to the fore recently. 3D terrestrial laser scanner can get 3D coordinate about a number of sites of the subject in a short period with high accuracy. This paper compared the accuracy of data from the performance using 3D terrestrial laser scanner with that of TS. It also obtained the geopositioning accuracy result equivalent to the surveying result of TS. With further researches in the future, it is expected to be used not only in LiDAR itself but also in various areas like reconnaissance Surveying and construction by combining with TS or other Surveying equipments.

  • This study presents the detailed methods for university facilities mapping using GPS and totalstation. In the control survey by GPS network adjustment, the level of significance for the height value of fourth order triangulation stations was estimated about loom. The accuracy analysis of height determination by totalstation for the traverse points showed that the RMSE came out 9mm to the basis of direct leveling, so it indicated that trigonometric leveling by totalstation was correct comparatively. For GPS/RTK method, the result of accuracy analysis about traverse points showed that the RMSE came out 33㎜ in horizontal location to the basis of totalstation's outcome and 15㎜ in height value to the basis of direct leveling. In the construction survey, GPS/RTK surveying is quicker and more economical than totalstation surveying in the feasible areas of GPS surveying, but there were many impossible areas lot GPS/RTK surveying by the obstacles like a building.
