The personal introduction of 2009 academic year Korea Science Academy (KSA) freshman, 143 persons, recommendation that is filled with giftedness cases and observation recording through observing the students by guidance teacher and professor, and Observation recording paper about students that is made by parents, were analyzed in order to investigate behavior characteristics of the Scientifically Gifted by Computer Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis System (CAQDAS). We could divide behavior characteristics of the Scientifically Gifted to 5 main categories by study results. As well as this study may make up for foreign researches and existing researches dependent on quantitative research about behavior characteristics of the Scientifically Gifted, This can be used as a useful data for development of instrument for identifying the scientifically Gifted and teaching-studying program by supporting understand behavior characteristics of the Scientifically Gifted as a specific area of giftedness.

The purpose of this study was to meta-synthesize the results of qualitative research that explored the experiences of nursing care in a domestic nurse to understand the phenomenon. The research method was a qualitative meta-synthesis study, which was analyzed using Thomas and Harden's methods. This was analyzed by searching for quality assessments for individual studies, extracting data for analysis, and meta-synthesizing the results. As a result of the study, it appeared as five synthetic themes. 1) Disaster nursing that begins with anxiety and fear, 2) Disaster nursing process: An atmosphere that feels even loneliness and burden in isolation and disconnection, 3) Disaster nursing process: Being in a poor and diverse environment, 4) Disaster nursing process: Although exhausted Endure and overcome. 5) After disaster care: A leap forward for development beyond mission and self-esteem. Conclusion, this study is expected to be a useful basic data for the development and application of nurse's disaster nursing programs and educational programs in the future.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the educational usefulness, problems of smartpad-based instruction in elementary school based on qualitative research. To accomplish the purpose of the study, D elementary school in metropolitan area, two classes of digital textbook model school for seven years, were selected as the classes for observation. Six fourth and fifth graders and their teachers were interviewed and their 10 lessons were used for analyzing teaching and learning activities in smartpad-based instruction. The results of the study, 'Facilitating collaboration and interaction', 'effective use of various resource and SNS', 'improving concentrativeness', 'shortening waiting time' were identified as main educational usefulness. 'Lack of learning supporting tools', 'focusing on function rather than learning contents', 'low learning effectiveness', 'interference of flow' were presented as problems in using smartpad in classroom. Finally, some practical tasks for effective application of smartpad-based instruction were recommended.

The purpose of this study was to examine the characteristics of classroom culture in a toddler class of 2 year olds. Data was collected through 16 sessions of non-participatory observations and teacher interviews of toddlers in H daycare center. Collected data was carefully read and categorized accordingly to fit the theme of this qualitative study. Data analysis yielded four conclusions regarding the toddlers' classroom culture: behavior to advance together as a group, communicating through body language, complete reliance and responses towards the instructor, and a dichotomy between disintegration and integration. The result of this study suggests a need for instructor's proper guidance and establishing an appropriate childcare environment, as well as a reconsideration regarding toddlers as a host of the classroom culture, to increase the understanding of toddler's interactions in classrooms and social trends.

This study uses the qualitative research method to describe the burnout experience in Mental Health Social Workers (MHSW) working in psychiatric hospitals. Data was collected and analyzed to identify the main themes from two in-depth interviews with four MHSWs who have been working in psychiatric hospitals for more than 5 years located in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province area. The results of the study show that burnout manifests as; 'not being recognized as professionals,' 'being skeptical of the role of social workers,' 'distancing oneself from patients and their family members,' and 'feeling realistic problems and limitations.' The results of this research are expected to be used as basic data to both understand and prevent the burnout experience of mental health social workers.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the information-seeking procedure of surveillants against public sector organizations in Korea. The surveillants used accountability mechanisms such as National Assembly Inspection and information disclosure to find out information they wanted. Examples of such group include social activists, professional supervisors, aides of the National Assembly congressman and the press members. Using data collected by in-depth interviews and participative observations, we studied their information seeking behaviors and factors that affect the procedure. Based on the Grounded Theory approach, we first generated 56 concepts, 17 categories and 6 super-categories about the participants' feeling, experiences and perception related to their information seeking. Then we developed a factor model among those generated concepts. The main contributions of this study are a) the results provide a useful guidance for the public information seekers b) we draw the requirements for enhancing public sector organizations' information management systems.

For sustainable economic growth, the Korea government continues to increase its investment in R&D and at the same time, have reinforced the management of R&D outcomes and enlargement of its infrastructure for utilization. However, a strategic R&D planning that draws an outstanding outcomes is more important than the management of its post-outcomes. The purpose of this study is to propose an implication on the policy of R&D planning for obtaining a good R&D outcomes such as a high quality patent. We compared and analyzed the determinants of the patent quality in fuel cell and solar cell technology using the count data models. Estimated results showed that the determinants of the patent quality in technologies were different from each other. Therefore, having appropriate R&D planning strategies for all technologies was more effective than applying one same strategy for all because of technological differences, and based on the estimated results, we suggested the R&D planning strategy in fuel cell and solar cell technologies that could in result in high R&D outcomes.

The purpose of this study was to phenomenologically explore what experiences sports coaches have felt about coaching efficacy through qualitative research methods, and to derive the sources of coaching efficacy. To achieve the research aim, 15 sports coaches with more than 5 years of experience were selected as a nomadic sampling and in-depth interviews were conducted, and the collected data were analyzed through qualitative data analysis procedures such as transcription, coding, categorization and meaning. As a result, the sources of sports coaching efficacy were established as five factors including coaching success experience, social support, coaching-related player experience, coaching expertise, and player feedback. The derived sources can be used as educational basic data for the development of coaching efficacy.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the usage patterns of document delivery services of domestic users based on usage transaction data about photocopying services of KISTI-DDS that the most important document delivery organization in Korea.. For the purpose of this study, it was investigated the number of processed document, type of favorite documents, ordering coverage for photocopying, delivery methods of photocopying documents for users in DDS(document delivery service) through transaction data of DDS during the past 4 years from 2000 to 2003.
