  • The purpose of this study was to develop an artificial intelligence-based marine ecological education program to improve the ecological sensitivity of elementary school students. The program was taught 11 times within 4 weeks, and an ecological sensitivity test was conducted before and after the program. The statistical results of the tests showed that the developed program improved the ecological sensitivity of elementary school students. Through in-depth interviews, improvements were found in all the areas, such as empathy for the living things, interest in nature, enjoyment of nature, and wonder about nature. Through the marine ecological classes, which used artificial intelligence and virtual reality, the students were able to get closer to nature, and the student participation activities showed a positive effect on their ecological sensitivity. This indicates that experience-oriented education methods are more effective than simple explanatory classes to improve the students' ecological sensitivity, and artificial intelligence technology proved effective in increasing the students' immersion in the class.

  • The purpose of this study is to prepare a plan for the development of an ecological audit program that can be applied to the elementary school curriculum for sustainability education. School ecological audits enable students or groups of students to identify and solve the school's environmental problems on their own, thereby fostering sustainable decision-making and attitudes. As a result of the study through literature research, an ecological audit project learning program applicable to the elementary school curriculum was developed. The developed program is aimed at 6th graders and is composed of 16 steps reflecting the procedural and ecological processes of the ecological audit. In order to settle the developed program in the school site and improve the school sustainability of the developed program, it is necessary to introduce a school environment management system that can periodically monitor the school environment, strengthen the capacity of school teachers, and provide a professional certification system outside the school. In addition, with this bottom-up policy-making system, students can expect to spread a sustainable school culture through environmental education activities.

And difficulties in practicing ecological art were recognized as lack of educational environment, lack of ecological art teaching materials and specific examples, and teachers' lack of understanding of ecological art. Also, they recognized that ecological art activities foster core competencies in art experience area, such as nature-friendly communication skills, eco-friendly sensibility, and creative convergence skills. Second, regarding ecological art activities and sustainable development education, early childhood teachers considered the difficulties in practice as lack of awareness about sustainable development, lack of play meia and materials, lack of educational policies and support, and insufficient teacher training programs. Also, regarding the SDGs that can be practiced in ecological art activities, teachers were found to be highly aware of 'grow affordable and clean energy', 'improve clean water and sanitation', 'provide quality education' in the order. In the contents of education for sustainable development that can be practiced in ecological art activities, teachers are given the order of 'climate change response', 'clean energy', 'water and sanitation', 'quality education', 'health and well-being' and 'marine ecosystem'. was highly recognized. If an ecological art activity program is developed, the rate of responding that it will be used is high, so it is considered that the development of an ESD-oriented ecological art activity program is urgent.
