The Mediating Effect of Single Mother's, Parental Self-Efficacy between the Social Capital and Perceived Competence of Children (여성 한부모의 사회자본과 자녀유능감과의 관계에서 나타나는 매개효과로서 부모효능감에 관한 연구)

  • This study examines the effects of Social Capital in Single Mother's Perceived competence of children and whether Parental Self-Efficacy mediate in the process. We were examined by the statistics software SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 21.0 in which descriptive statistics, structural equation model analysis are utilized. The result of this study are as follows: First, Single Mother's Social Capital has positive effects on Parental Self-Efficacy. Second, Parental Self-Efficacy has positive effects on Perceived competence of children. It was proved that Parental Self-Efficacy exerted as mediating variables. Therefore, existent Parental Self-Efficacy have full mediated effects on the relationship between Social Capital and Perceived competence of children. Possible reasons for the this result were identified and discussed.

The Effects of Social Bonding on Self-Competence of Juvenile Inmates: Focused on Mediating Effect of Self-Esteem (소년원보호소년의 사회적 유대가 자기유능감에 미치는 영향: 자아존중감의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of social bonding on self-competence in the juvenile delinquency on the mediating effect of self-esteem. The data of 908 juvenile inmates in a Study on Measures to Develop Entrepreneurship Education Model and to Encourage Start-up for Youth(2015) by the National Youth Policy Institute were analysed. The results of the study are: (1) social bonding was found a key factor affecting the self-competence, (2) their social bonding affects self-esteem, (3) self-esteem affects self-competence, (4) self-esteem was proved to have a mediating effect between the effects of social bonding and self-competence. The implications and limitations are reviewed, as are the suggestions for future research.

  • This study examines the effects of single mother's economic stress in social competence of children perceived by parents and whether mother-child relationship satisfaction mediate in the process. The results of analysis of the path through the structural equation modeling are as follows: First, single mother's economic stress has negative effects on mother-child relationship satisfaction. Second, mother-child relationship satisfaction has positive effects on social competence of children. It was proved that mother-child relationship satisfaction exerted as mediating variables. Therefore, existent mother-child relationship satisfaction have full mediated effects on the relationship between economic stress and social competence of children. Based on the findings, practice implications to improve social competence of single mothers' children were discussed.

  • This study, infants to Toddler's sense of competent leadership of social and socially competent to investigate the impact of the sense. Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi area only 5 years old male and female infants are 330 people survey F-t-data processing, validation, and verification applied to person-correlated analysis study. First of all, depending on the infant's gender remains a meaningful difference and is capable of leadership, social sense than girls score higher. Second, an analysis of correlation between competent leadership and social sense of the infant, and the result is a statistically significant difference. Second, a high degree of collective leadership to be more socially competent, comfortable. In conclusion, in this study, the infant is capable of leadership and the impact of this is social in the sense of an infant Therefore, this study is the result of an infant appearing in leadership for improving early childhood leadership training programs, and promoting a sense of being able to make a skilled early childhood social and educational implications.

  • This study thus set out to analyze relations among appearance satisfaction, social competence, and interpersonal abilities and provide basic data to improve interpersonal abilities. For these purposes, the study collected data with a questionnaire and analyzed total 223 questionnaires. We collected the data from December 3 to 7, 2018. The study analyzed relations among social competence, interpersonal abilities, and appearance satisfaction and found that social competence had positive correlations with interpersonal abilities and appearance satisfaction, which indicates that higher social competence leads to better interpersonal relationships and higher appearance satisfaction.

Relationships among Sports Participation Degree, Sports Competence, and Social Support for Middle School Students (중학생의 스포츠 참가 정도와 스포츠 유능감 및 사회적 지지의 관계)

  • The research focus on participation degree and competence in sports and their social support. Moreover, it focus on how the sports participation degree and sports competence affect social support. For the research, 414 middle school students were collected and the t-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis and the multiple regression analysis was carried on. As a result, boys participated in sports more than girls, but girls show more positive effect on social support from friends than boys. According to grade, the sophomores participated in sports highly, and juniors stronger than sophomores, seniors in case of sports competence and social support from teachers. Scholastic achievements show positive effects on all social support, Income show positive effects on participation frequency, sports competence and social support from friends. Secondly, sports participation degree did not affect the social support directly but affect indirectly through sports competence.

  • The purpose of this study was to prepare empirical baselinedata supporting for adolescents by researching the control effects by type of schools related between academic achievement and social competence mediating the oiettolie propensity by stress and impulsiveness of adolescents. For this study, 400 high school students in Gwangju metropolitan city were interviewed using self-reporting questionnaire. As the result of study, stress and impulsiveness of adolescents have significant influences on their oiettolie propensity partially, and oiettolie propensity affect academic achievement and social competence meaningfully. and, stress and impulsiveness of adolescents play roles on their oiettolie propensity partially as control factors by type of schools. and. oiettolie propensity affects academic achievement and social competence by type of schools. This study suggests some policy programs for reduction of oiettolie propensity and improvement of academic achievement and social competence based on the analysis results.

The Effects of Parenting Behaviors on Social Competence of Young Children (부모의 양육행동이 유아의 사회적 유능성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aimed to analysis the effect of parenting behaviors on young children's social competence. The data of 1408 child 72-79 months and their parents were extracted from the 7th Panel Study on Korean Children in 2014 by Korean Instute of Child Care and Education. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, and the multiple regression analysis. The research results were as follow: First, there was a significant difference in social competence of young children according to gender and mother's parenting behaviors and father's warmth parenting behaviors. Second, mother's warmth and control parenting behaviors and father's warmth parenting behaviors influenced young children's social competence. But, father's control parenting behaviors didn't influenced the social competence of their children. After discussing these and then a conclusion and proposal were presented.

Mediating and Moderating Effects of Self-esteem, Social Participation and Discrimination Experience in the Relationship between Acceptance of Disability and Social Competence in Adults with Physical Disabilities (지체장애인의 장애수용과 사회적 유능감 간의 관계에서 자존감, 사회참여, 차별경험의 매개 및 조절효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify effective strategies for promoting psycho-social adjustment by examining the mediating effects of self-esteem (SE) and moderating effects of social participation (SP) and discrimination experience (DE) in predicting social competence (SC) with acceptance of disability (AD). The subjects of the study were 1943 adults with a physical disability (1338 males and 605 females) and 233 adults with brain lesions (160 males and 73 females) aged between 19 and 65 years. Data were analyzed using SPSS and Process macro software, and conditional process analysis (model 18) in which the degree and onset of disability were controlled was performed. The results are as follows. First, SE was found to partially mediate the relationship between AD and SC. Second, the relationship between SE and SC was found to be moderated by SP but not by DE, and the relationship between SP and SC was found to be moderated by DE. In addition, the mediating effects of SE, which was moderated by SP, were found to not be moderated by DE. The clinical implication and suggestion for future research is discussed.

A Study on the Effect of Family Health of Single-Parent Families on Self-Regulation and Social Competence of Infants (한부모 가족의 가족건강성이 유아의 자기조절력과 사회적 유능감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of family health on self-regulation and social competence in infants of single-parent families. The subject of this study was a survey of 350 children aged 3 to 5 who were enrolled in a kindergarten located in Seoul. Parents were asked to respond, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS Statistics and SPSS Process Macro, and multiple regression analysis, Pearson's correlation analysis, and bootstrapping analysis were performed. The research results were as follows. First, the family health of single-parent families was partially positively correlated with self-regulation and social competence of infants. Second, it was found that the self-regulation ability of infants had a mediating effect on the relationship between single-parent family health and the social competence of infants. Considering the results of this study, it could be understood that the social competence of infants is affected by the relationship between family members rather than the family type of a single-parent family.
