The nature of supervision is to improve the quality of school education by assisting the teaching activities of teachers and development of a learning community. The school library should be considered a classroom, and should offer library-assisted instruction and information literacy through collaboration between the teacher librarian and subject teachers. Therefore, it should be under the systematic and settled supervision of school library experts. However, analysis shows school library-related divisions have carried out administrative supports in the 16 city and provincial education offices. It is necessary to seek a new supervision system in order to develop and support the education of teacher librarians and the educational value of school libraries. This study suggests The Reading and Library Section which integrates reading in school and public libraries as an independent division in municipal and provincial offices of education.

The purpose of this study is to analyze elementary, middle and high school teachers' perceptions and experiences on school library services, to obtain basic information and to draw implications for setting the contents and direction of school library services. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on 498 teachers working at elementary, middle and high schools in the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education for reading status, recognition and emotion of the school libraries, school library experience, teaching experiences using school libraries, and the role of teacher-librarians. As a result of the analysis, there was a difference in teachers' perceptions, emotions, and experiences of school library services according to school level and school library personnel. In particular, the school library personnel was found to have a significant influence on teachers' perception, emotion and experience of school library service.

The purpose of this research is to identify critical factors for facilitating school library reading programs and to develop guidelines for school library development. For this. relevant studies including several school library case studies were reviewed and analyzed. Also a survey was conducted for school library personnel. The survey findings showed that there was still lack of consensus on defining school library reading programs or school library use programs. Moreover, it is also found that in most cases school libraries neither have professional school librarians nor provide appropriate training to them. As a result it is recommended that for developing effective reading programs, school libraries need to fix the current problems and try to develop collection development plans for supporting reading programs, in cooperation with classroom teachers to develop library reading programs as a part of the curriculum. and ultimately with local public libraries.

This study analyzed students', parents of student, and school master' survey materials and reading, math, and science knowledge performance based on OECD PISA 2009 Koreana data. Also, school library level variables grasped the impacts of academic achievement. Through this study looked for suggestion to improvement, educational accountability and leverage of school library. The results, first, when they use reading more pleasantly thought, they achieve higher scores in academic performance. Second, when they use more books and reading resources in housekeeping, they achieve higher scores in academic performance. Third, when they were more visits school library for exploit internet, they achieve higher lower scores in academic performance. Fourth, when the member of the staff in the school library are more lack of people, they achieve lower scores in academic performance. Fifth, private education's experience in reading have a negative influence in reading achievement and science achievement. Sixth, school library's visiting and library application study about national language curriculum in the impacts of academic performance would not change statistical evaluation significantly.

The implication of space in school libraries more important than the other types of libraries because their main user is students who are affected by service environment. Let me consider the reality of our circumstance, the space is not enough in the school library, Therefore, it is essential to utilize of library space effectively. So, this study intends to suggest effective organization model of school library space, through introduced by the notion of information commons. The results show that they are integrated within school library, which, in addition to other functions, may include recreation center, and interactive community, circulation space, administrative offices and so on and suggest the library space design and management need to reflect the flexibility and inter-activeness of the space. Also, in order to acquiring human-centered aspect and openness, school library appropriate space planning for present needs and future expansion is imperative within school community.

The school library media specialist is the information manager of school library as well as the teacher who take charge of a study. The basic knowledge of copyright law is needed to supply lawful and safe information service to students and teaching staffs in school. In order for the school library media specialist to have a copyright knowledge, the actual proof research to analyze the copyright recognition degree of school library media specialist is necessary, The survey study measured the recognition degree against copyright of school library media specialists who participate to 2006 school library media specialist 1 class qualification annual study and training process. The purpose of this study is to analyze curriculum contents, teaching methods and evaluation methods for the core courses in Library & Information Science. It focuses on syllabi both of Korean and foreign universities, and compares them to figure out their own characteristics and differences. The study aims to contribute to the advancements of domestic Library & Information Science in regards to their curriculum contents and methods. To this end, we collected and analyzed the syllabi of Information Organization, Information & Reference Services, Information Retrieval and Management of Libraries, which are used in the foreign LIS departments. As results, we found some differences between curriculum contents, teaching methods and evaluation methods used by Korean and foreign universities. In teaching methods, especially, the classes in Korean universities used the forms of lecture, presents, examination, while classes in foreign universities used more various methods, such as workshop, project, developing system, simulation, case study, interviews with expert.

The study goals are establishing a library management plan for the school for the blind in Korea and also developing a structured library program, which reflected the patron's perception. We surveyed the students in three schools for the blind to identify their perception and usage statistics of the libraries. The analysis of the survey led to a school library program framework consisting of four types. To verify the applicability and effectiveness of the framework, we designed ten programs to meet the needs of the schools by consulting respective school's teachers. We administered the second survey after the classes, and we found that there were positive increases in the frequency of library use, a number of books read, perception about the libraries, amount of information used, and self-directed learning willingness.

The purpose of this study is to analyze research trends of school library reading programs. Articles on school library reading programs were searched in four major library and information science journals and two journals specialized in reading, which resulted in total 138 papers. First article was published as early as in 1978, and after a long lull period, researches began to mushroom in 2002 and proliferated between 2013 and 2015. To identify reading programs by type, research on curriculum-linked programs including library assisted instruction and information literacy instruction accounted for 44.9%, whereas programs for promoting library use and reading interest provoking came up with a small research volume. Interdisciplinary convergence involving Korean language education fields and library and information science fields, more concern for developing useful school library reading programs and curriculum-linked programs.
