Investigating Educational Effects of Flipped Learning in Real-time Online Programming Course (실시간 온라인 프로그래밍 교육에서 플립러닝의 학습효과 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 코로나19 사태로 인해 대학교육에서 전면적으로 실시되고 있는 온라인 강의 환경에서 플립러닝의 학습효과를 규명하였다. 실시간 온라인 프로그래밍 수업에서 85명의 학습자를 대상으로 설문을 분석한 결과, 학습내용이해도에 대해서는 학습활동의 적절성이, 만족도에 대해서는 교수자지원과 학습내용의 적절성이, 역량향상도에 대해서는 교수자지원이 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 프로그래밍교육을 위한 실시간 온라인 강의에서 플립러닝 설계 및 운영 전략에 대한 시사점을 제언하였다.

Strategies for Revitalizing E-Learning Through Investigating the Characteristics of E-Learning and the Needs of Distance Learners in the Domestic Universities in Korea (국내 대학 e-러닝의 운영 특징 및 수강자 요구 조사를 통한 활성화 방안)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the feasible strategies to vitalize e-learning through investigating the characteristics of e-learning and the evaluations of distance learners on online courses in the domestic universities in Korea. First, in order to accomplish this, 10 Universities and 17 Cyber Universities were selected to explore their characteristics and main projects of e-learning for the administration level investigation. Secondly, content analysis of the bulletin board systems(BBS) and in-depth interviews on distance learners in Cyber Universities were conducted for the user level investigation. The results revealed that Universities in Korea were focused on establishing mobile or smart campuses, diversifying online educational contents, enhancing online interactive systems, and educating e-learning system and smart device utilization. However, distance learners reported that mobile e-learning lacked stability when taking online courses despite its convenience for purpose of academic administration. In addition, distance learners requested the social application workshops to improve on their learning experience as well as the interactions among peers. Therefore, it is important to focus more on how to establish the education-oriented e-learning environment rather than how to implement the administrative projects to animate e-learning in the domestic universities in Korea.

  • Instructor willingness to accept and literacy is an e-leaning important variable to expect a positive effect of the introduction of e-learning from the perspective of university. The role of faculty is not only instructor but also content experts, curriculum designers, graphics professionals, media director or programmer. This study suggest as the role of instructor as pedagogical, managerial, social and technical aspect for effective learning outcomes.

The Effect of Micro-Learning on Learning Satisfaction and Effectiveness of Learning (마이크로 러닝이 대학생의 학습만족도와 학습효과에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to verify the effectiveness of learning using micro-running. To this end, the learning materials of the class were produced in three forms: micro-learning, existing e-learning, and handouts, to compare the learning satisfaction and learning effect for college students at Y and K universities located in K-do. First, when using learning materials in the form of micro-learning, learning satisfaction was the highest. Second, the learning effect was effective for both e-learning and micro-learning. And micro-learning was more effective when both types of learning materials were used. The results of this study look forward to activating micro-learning in university by researching micro-learning of the new learning type that emerged as a social phenomenon, highlighting the importance of micro-learning and presenting basic data for subsequent study.

Designing Effective Prototypes for Establishing an e-Learning Center (이러닝 센터의 구축을 위한 효과적인 모형 설계)

  • E-learning is cyber-education that gives open education to everyone by providing various contents through Internet and IT technologies, and it has been spreading rapidly. In this paper, we describes an effective prototype design scheme for establishing e-Learning center, centered on the case of A University, in order to overcome a lot of shortcomings related to cyber-education and to settle down efficient and systematic on-line realtime cyber education. For this purpose, we first analyzed the current status concerning e-Learning at A University. Learners and lecturers then participated in a survey so that we could find some problems on current e-Learning and prepare their solutions. We finally designed e-Learning center prototypes, and selected the prototype 2 as a best one and designed it in more details. The prototype made in this paper would be very useful to other institutes who want to establish a new e-Learning center.

  • Smart Learning has been spreaded rapidly to the education and industry fields. Especially, Smart Learning of the university and Smart Campus are the focus of attention of the knowledge based age, because university education play a core role for lifetime education and has largest ripple effect. This article is exploring on the concept and realization conditions of 'Smart Campus'. We think, Smart Campus is an alternative solution for the continuous development of university education in the smart time. In this context, this paper will review the prior studies of Smart Learning, U-Learning and Smart Campus, and study the concept and realization conditions of 'Smart Campus'.

Effects of Academic Emotion Regulation and Group Cohesiveness on Learning Satisfaction and Learning Interest in the University Flipped Learning (대학 플립러닝 수업에서 학업적 정서조절과 집단응집성이 학습만족도와 학습흥미도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of academic emotion regulation and group cohesiveness on learning satisfaction and learning interest in the flipped learning at the university. In order to examine the purpose, this study applied a problem-solving classroom model to the flipped learning. 33 university students participated in the flipped learning activities for 9 weeks, and the data from them were used for multiple regression analysis. The results indicated that learners' academic emotion regulation did not affect learning satisfaction, and subjects' group cohesiveness influenced on learning satisfaction. Second, learners' academic emotion regulation did not affect learning interest, but their group cohesiveness had an impact on learning interest. This research has several implications with regard to suggesting the guidelines and conditions for the design and implementation of the flipped classroom at the university.

A Study on Developing Flipped-MOOC Model in University (대학에서의 Flipped-MOOC 모형 개발)

  • The purpose of this research is to make a Flipped-MOOC model which can be applied and practiced in the college course after analyzing the characteristics and cases of MOOC and Flipped learning. For this, this study implemented the following tasks. First, this study analyzed the management and class types of MOOC and flipped learning through literature research. Secondly, flipped learning was applied in the course for a semester and the strong point and weak point of the course was analyzed and the alternative was suggested. Thirdly, the core ideas and strategies of Flipped-MOOC model was deducted for enhancing the participation and interaction of the students in the course which uses the MOOC content and applies flipped learning, and the instructional strategies and direction for the effective management in the real educational field was suggested. As a result, Flipped-MOOC model is expected to contribute for the educational revolution, change and quality improvement, and it is expected that Flipped-MOOC model might contribute to the lifelong education and educational competitiveness.

  • 최근 IT기술의 발전, 대학 교육의 글로벌화 등의 추세는 대학의 이러닝(e-learning) 형태의 교육을 촉진하고 있다. 국내향후 연구에서는 17개의 사이버대학은 이러닝 형태의 교육을 제공하고 있는데, 최근 재학생 수가 크게 증가하고 있다. 이에 사이버대학들은 우수한 강의 제공을 위해 학생-교수간의 다양한 상호작용에 대해서 연구하고 있다. 본 연구는 사이버대학의 LMS(Learning Management System)에 온라인 채팅 서비스를 최초로 도입하여, 시스템을 구축하였다. 본 연구에서는 온라인 채팅과 학습만족과의 관계에 대해서 검증하고, 강의질 개선을 위한 전략을 도출하고자 한다.

  • 낙동강은 4대강 사업을 통한 다기능 보 건설로 하천 환경에 변화가 일어났다. 하천 수심이 증가하고 유속이 느려지는 정체성 수역 특성을 나타내고 있다. 이는 남조류 발생에 영향을 주며 남조류가 분비하는 독성물질 또한 수생태계와 인체에 유해하며 남조류 발생에 따른 다양한 원인인자들이 있다. 이러한 남조류 발생 특성을 정량적으로 규명하기 위하여 최근 조류 관리에 있어 데이터 마이닝 및 머신러닝 기법을 적용한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 머신러닝에서는 학습자료 선정에 따라 예측 결과가 다르게 나타나며 이는 발생원인이 복잡한 남조류에 있어 중요한 부분이라 볼 수 있다. 낙동강의 다기능보는 하나의 유체에 직렬형으로 8개의 다기능보가 위치하고 있다. 8개의 보로 나누어져있는 하천은 각 구간별로 보의 수리학적 특성, 유역 특성이 다르다. 따라서 구간별 조류 발생 특성이 다르게 나타난다. 본 연구에서는 구간별 특성을 분류하고 조류 발생에 영향을 미치는 주요 인자들을 분석하고자 한다. 조류 발생에 있어 낙동강 8개 보 지점에 대하여 복잡한 남조류 발생 주요 영향인자 분석과 더불어 머신러닝 기법을 이용하여 영향인자에 따른 남조류 발생조건을 정량적으로 분석하였다. 수질 인자뿐만이 아닌 수리학적 인자를 고려하여 수리학적 체적시간이 다른 각 보에서의 조류발생 특성을 분석하고자 하였다. 또한 학습인자에 따라 남조류 예측에 대한 정확도 향상이 가능한지를 확인하고 이를 통해 정체성 하천에서의 남조류 발생 특성에 대해 연구하고자 하였으며 이를 통해 낙동강 남조류 발생 및 관리에 있어 선제적 관리에 활용하고자 한다.
