Improvement of Self-Directed Learning Ability through Engineering Design Education (공학설계교육을 통한 자기주도학습 능력 향상에 관한 연구)

  • This study had a purpose to examine that problem solving process through the product design and conceptual design in engineering design education affected the improvement of students' self-directed learning ability. For this, we conducted in-depth interview with students that taken the introductory engineering design course. The main findings were as follows. First, the importance of diagnosing the learning needs and defining the problem was realized. Second, the importance of organizing lesson plans for problem solving and performing it out systematically was acknowledged. Third, they knew that continuous modification and supplements were needed, and also reviews and checks were needed after the evaluation process. Based on these results, the problem solving process of engineering design education affected a positive effect to students' self-directed learning.

  • Curricular noticing is about how teachers understand the content and pedagogical opportunities inherent in curriculum materials. Since the enacted curriculum differs depending on which aspect of the curriculum material is paid attention to and how to interpret it, it is necessary to focus on Curricular Attending and Curricular Interpreting in Curricular Noticing for enhancing the teaching expertise of preservice teachers. First, this study categorized the objects that preservice elementary mathematics teachers attended when planning the lesson for rate. Second, in order to find out the reason for paying attention to those objects, it was analyzed what factors were related to interpret. By discussing the results, implications were drawn on how to use Curricular Noticing in preservice teacher education to enhance the pedagogical design competency of preservice elementary mathematics teachers.

  • Public institutions and owners have been introduced to Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools. BIM has become an important factor in the design process in undergrad programs. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the improvement of the architectural engineering design process through an analysis of BIM courses. BIM education courses are analyzed to compare the level of detail in BIM education. An architectural engineering design class needs to involve BIM in the introduction of an integrated design process. An architectural engineering design process needs to be based on understanding design, building structures, construction and building services. 3D Modeling helps support an understanding of building structure and eco-friendly element analysis. The new process of architectural engineering design education is proposed as a result of this research.

  • World-Wide Web으로 인하여 인터넷 상의 다양하고 고품질의 자료들을 교육 자료에 손쉽게 활용할 수 있는 시대가 도래하였다. 그러나 이러한 자료들은 교육적 효과를 극대화시키기 위해서 좀 더 정제되고, 교육과정에 맞는 흐름을 가질 필요가 있다. 이러한 과정의 흐름을 제공하기 위해서는 웹 상에서 분산되어 독립적으로 존재하는 디지털 문서들을 교육 목적에 맞게 새로운 순서, 즉 문맥화된 순서를 가진 자료로 재구성할 수 있어야 하며, 문서간의 부드러운 내용 전개를 위해서 부가적인 설명이나 기존 문서에 빠져 있는 내용들을 보완할 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문의 연구과정에서 개발된 가상교육 시스템은 교사가 교육용 지식문서를 작성하여 면대면(face to face) 교육에서는 직접 학생들을 교육할 수 있는 교육 자료로 사용될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 웹을 통해서는 학생 스스로가 부족한 부분을 원하는 시간에 학습할 수 있는 능동적인 교육 환경을 제공할 수 있다. 또한, 가상교육 시스템에 가상문서 개념을 도입함으로써 인터넷 상의 수많은 리소스들을 인용하는 것에 대한 부하를 막을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 상의 디지털 컨텐츠를 전문적인 지식을 가진 교사가 교육과정에 맞게 쉽게 재구성해 줄 수 있도록 가상교육 시스템을 설계 및 구현한 내용에 대해 기술한다.

  • 본 논문은 창의성교육 프로그램 개발 방향으로 창업교육에 대한 실행방안을 연구 및 기획한 논문이다. 창업의 현황과 문제점을 토대로 교육프로그램 개발하고 공학교육의 창의적 능력 및 정보기획과 분석력 개발교육을 통해 공학교육의 질 제고를 위한 새로운 모델을 제시하고 있다. 본연구의 기초는 공학인증프로그램의 설계교과과정의 내실화가 기본바탕을 이루고 있으며, 교육과정에 추가되는 softskill의 활용도 아울러 요구되고 있다. 특히 설계교과과정의 정점을 이루고 있는 캡스톤디자인(종합설계교과목) 교육성과의 활용도를 적극 활용할 수 있는 기회를 제공하고 있다.

Exploratory Study on the Educational Planning Process Model for School Space Innovation - Focusing on User Participatory Design Practices - (학교교육공간 혁신을 위한 교육기획 절차 모형 탐색 - 교육분야 사용자 참여 설계 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • This study presents a model for educational planning based on user participatory design for the purposes of curriculum development and educational space innovation. It reviewed previous research and practices related to educational space innovation, educational planning processes, and user participation design and suggested a draft model. This model was applied in the renovation project of an elementary school, and the problems encountered during the application were reflected upon and used to improve the model. The final model comprises four phases. Phase 1 is an initial exploratory phase foruser participation, where educational planners and users form a shared perspective regarding the future of education. Phase 2 is a needs-analysis phase for the transition to future education, which focuses on setting the overall direction of the school-level curriculum. Phase 3 specifies the direction of future school curricula and identifies needs for educational spaces. Finally, Phase 4 focuses on the interaction between educational and space planners. Based on the above discussion, the study discussed the benefits and limitations of this educational planning model for school space innovation.

Analysis of Curriculum Management and Proposal of BIM Educational Strategy in Architecture Design (건축설계 과정에서 융합적 사고능력 향상을 위한 국내 대학의 BIM 교육과정 운영실태 분석과 교육전략 제안)

  • In order to meet the needs of integrated design process in architect industry, BIM(Building Information Modeling) education in university is urgently needed. However, the investigation of the current status of BIM education at 60 universities shows that most universities do not offer BIM education at all, or opened only one regular course for BIM education. The survey on BIM education for students shows that non-curricular activities brought bigger educational achievements than regular courses. Considering these findings and the practical restrictions of the universities, and through evaluation and feedback from professors as educational providers and working architects as professional users, the desirable strategy for BIM education in architect design was able to be suggested, which is consisted of regular curriculum of two courses and 40 hours non-curricular activities.

디지털 디자인 및 패브리케이션 통합 스튜디오 교육 사례 소개 -조지아텍 디지털빌딩랩에서의 인테리어패널 제작

  • 본 글을 통해 학생들과 함께 수행한 다양한 디지털 디자인 모델을 기반으로 5가지의 디지털 패브리케이션 방식을 적용하여 여러 실제 인테리어패널의 제작 과정 및 그 결과물들을 요약적으로 소개하였다. 해당 과정은 기존의 분리된 설계와 제작 및 시공이 아닌, 설계-제작 통합적인 접근방법을 활용함으로써 학생들로 하여금 디지털 디자인과 패브리케이션의 효과를 극대화 할 수 있음을 체득하도록 하였다. 패브리케이션 기기 및 재료 등의 차이점에 따라 실제 구현된 모델과 원래의 디지털 모델과의 형상적인 차이점은 아직까지 한계점으로 남을 수 있지만, 비정형적으로 생성된 디지털 디자인의 형상이 직접적으로 실현이 가능하다는 점에서 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다. 또한 패러매트릭 모델링 기법이나 실제 제작 경험이 거의 없는 학생들을 대상으로 개별적인 교육이 아닌 설계-제작 통합적인 교육을 실시함으로써 각 요소들이 어떻게 유기적으로 관련되어 디지털 디자인 과정이나 패브리케이션과정에서 상호 보완적으로 중요한지 직접 체득할 수 있도록 하였다는데 의의가 있다. 본 글에서 소개한 재료를 깎는 등의 방식인 "마이너스"의 방식이 아닌 3D프린팅과 같이 재료를 이용해 만들어가는 "플러스"적인 방식 또한 해당 사례에서 수행되었으며 마찬가지로 다양한 특성을 지니고 있으나, 본 글에서는 전자의 방식에 대해 주로 논하였다. 본 글에서 다룬 제작기법뿐만 아니라 3D프린팅 기술의 발전과 보급에 따라 디지털 패브리케이션 역시 다양하게 진보하고 있으며, 팹랩 등을 통한 학교에서의 건축설계 교육도 다양하게 진화하고 있다. 본 사례 및 기타 실험적인 교육과 선도적인 여러 시도를 통해서, 디지털 디자인과 패브리케이션 영역을 확장시켜나가고 해당 기술의 발전에 적극적으로 보조할 수 있는 교육과정을 수립하고 이행하는데 일조 할 수 있기를 희망한다.

  • Development of information & communication technologies brought a lot of changes into a fashion industry system. Based on this advancement, various classes which utilized a computer is opened in the educational field. However, because of the shortages of ICT quality of leaner, It must spare a section equivalent for ICT literacy during educational contents. In secondary education and the culture process of a university It is because ICT literacy education was not realized directly. This study is purposed to present more desirable direction the curriculum of Fashion Design, in order to study like the fashion design technical education division, defined the ICT literacy ability that leaner must have and under the tyrannies that that kind of ICT quality ability was had, designed a educational 'process in the fashion design that utilized the ICT which was suitable for information oriented society.

Design and Validation of Leadership Curriculum in Education for the Gifted Elementary Students of Computer Science (초등정보과학영재를 위한 리더십 교육내용의 설계 및 검증)

  • Leadership education is part of the goals of special education for the gifted of computer science. However, there has been little research effort on leadership curriculums and programs specially designed for the gifted of computer science by reflecting their characteristics. Thus this paper was conducted to design educational contents of leadership for the gifted of computer science as follows:First, common elements were extracted from the goals and characteristics of special education for the gifted of computer science and from the previous studies through analysis. Then basic data were selected helpful to choose educational contents of leadership for the gifted of computer science. Second, the definitions and characteristics of leadership were analyzed along with the previous studies to find common elements. By defining relations between the gifted of computer science and leadership, the investigator also examined the leadership characteristics to be considered when choosing educational contents. Third, educational contents of leadership for the gifted of computer science were selected and designed based on the leadership elements developed by the Korean Educational Development Institute(2005). Fourth, leadership activity logs and reading materials were developed of the education for the gifted of computer science based on the educational contents for their leadership. And fifth, Delphi analysis was carried out to test the validity of the leadership activity logs and reading materials developed in the study in two sessions; the first one tested the overall design of the educational contents, and the second one did the detailed contents of the activity logs and reading materials.
