This study collected data from 155 clinical nurses in C region in G-do from July 17 to July 28, 2023, and a total of 154 copies were finally analyzed. Using the SPSS Win. 25.0 program, technical statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression were analyzed. As a result of analyzing variables affecting the subject's patient safety management activities with multiple regression using hierarchical selection, the higher the shared leadership, the higher the patient safety management. In order to efficiently perform nursing for nurses' patient safety management activities, research should be continuously conducted to develop specific intervention programs that can support patient safety nursing activities and verify their effectiveness

This study was scoping review designed and used methodological framework by Arksey and O'Mally. The reviewed study were found through electronic databases and published from January 2000 to December 2021. There were a total of 18 studies that were included in the analysis. The framework is comprised of evaluating the characteristics and the topic of research conducted. Research in regards to nursing informatics competency has increased after 2010, and quantitative research and research with nurses as the primary subject accounted for the majority of the studies performed. Factors that influenced the outcome for the nursing informatics competency were education, position, and key variables were work performance, self-leadership, job satisfaction, nursing work achievements, nursing organizational culture, and working environment. This research is significant that it systematically reviewed the nursing informatics competency and set a direction for further studies. In the further study, it is necessary to reflect changes in the health care system and nursing work environment and it is suggested to develop educational programs to improve nursing informatis competency for nurses and nursing students.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify research trends related to emotional leadership among nurse managers by conducting a systematic literature review and meta-analysis. This study sought to derive insights that could contribute to improving emotional leadership in nursing practice. Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) and Meta-Analysis Of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (MOOSE) guidelines. Databases including PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Scopus, Web of Science, Research Information Sharing Service, Koreanstudies Information Service System, Korean Medical Database, KoreaMed, ScienceON, and DBpia were searched to obtain papers published in English and Korean. Literature searches and screenings were conducted for the period December 1, 2023 to December 17, 2023. The effect size correlation (ESr) was calculated for each variable and the meta-analysis was performed using the statistical software SPSS 29.0, R 4.3.1. Results: Twenty-five (four personal, six job, and fifteen organizational) relevant variables were identified through the systematic review. The results of the meta-analysis showed that the total overall effect size was ESr = .33. Job satisfaction (ESr = .40) and leader-member exchange (ESr = .75) had the largest effect size among the job and organizational-related factors. Conclusion: Emotional leadership helps promote positive changes within organizations, improves organizational effectiveness, and increases member engagement and satisfaction. Therefore, it is considered an important strategic factor in improving organizational performance.

Methods: Using combinations of the terms 'bullying', 'school violence', and 'intervention' as key words, the researchers searched eight electronic databases for relevant studies. Fifteen studies were selected through full-text screening of related research published in academic journals before June 2018. The framework was used to identify the selected studies' intervention patterns and classify the various intervention components. The extracted intervention components were grouped into potential themes to determine whether the researchers clearly showed the interventions in the studies. Results: The intervention components of 15 selected studies were categorized into five themes: 1) Utilizing intervention techniques for voluntary participation, 2) Enhancing self-awareness, 3) Strategies to improve emotional intelligence, 4) Promoting interpersonal skills, and 5) Emphasis on responsibility through future vision experience. Conclusion: As a result of analyzing interventions for children and adolescent perpetrators of school violence, five components were derived. It is suggested that these components should be considered in the field, and intervention programs development and research using them are needed.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to construct evidence based clinical guidelines and to develop nursing process based performance measures for prevention and management of pressure ulcers, falls and pain. Method: Clinical guidelines were drafted through a comprehensive review of relevant literature, national guidelines and hospital protocols. The proposed guidelines were reviewed by a panel of experts and 90 hospital nurses, and refined on the basis of their suggestions. Nursing process based performance measures were developed based on the clinical guidelines and content validity was examined by surveys from 90 hospital nurses. Results: All items, except timetable for position change and pressure ulcer nursing record, in the guidelines for prevention and management of pressure ulcer were appropriate. Most items, except fall risk assessment tools, were appropriate for the guidelines of fall prevention. All other items, except the purpose of pain management, were appropriate for the guidelines of pain management. Performance measures developed in this study were acceptable as a tool to evaluate quality of nursing care. Conclusion: Nursing process based performance measures provide important indicators to monitor whether necessary nursing care is implemented and can be used as the primary resources to improve quality of nursing services.

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the research trends of articles published in the Journal of Korean Clinical Nursing Research from 2000 to 2017 by a text network analysis using keywords. Methods: This study analyzed 600 articles. The R program was used for text mining that extracted frequency, centrality rank, and keyword network. Results: From 2000 to 2009, keywords with high-frequency were 'nurse', 'pain', 'anxiety', 'knowledge', 'attitude', and so on. 'Pain', 'nurse', and 'knowledge' showed a high centrality. 'Fatigue' showed no high frequency but a high centrality. Keywords such as 'nurse', 'knowledge', and 'pain' also showed high frequency and centrality between 2010 and 2017. 'Hemodialysis' and 'intensive care unit' were added to keywords with high frequency and centrality during the period. Conclusion: The frequency and centrality of keywords such as 'nurse', 'pain', 'knowledge', 'hemodialysis', and 'intensive care unit' reflect the research trends in clinical nursing between 2000 and 2017. Further studies need to expand the keyword networks by connecting the main keywords.

  • Purpose: The study examined obesity conditions and related factors in middle aged Korean women who had been diagnosed as obese based body mass index (BMI) or waist circumference (WC) measurement. Presently, BMI alone, WC alone, or BMI + WC were used as obesity measures. Methods: Subjects were 488 women 40~64 years of age living in one city, Korea. Structured questionnaires concerning general characteristics, health behavior practices, and chronic disease history were completed by each subject. Results: The proportions of obesity were 42.4% by BMI, 39.3% by WC, and 51.3% by the combination of both measurements. Chi-square test revealed significant associations of obesity with age, education level, menopausal status, frequency of excessive eating, and history of diabetes mellitus or hypertension. These associations were similar for the three measurement schemes. There was significant positive relationship between BMI and WC, whereas the relationship between BMI and WHR (waist-hip ratio) was not significant. Conclusions: The combination of BMI and WC measurement may be a valid way to evaluate the obesity status in middle-aged women. Developing an obesity management program that includes control of excessive eating, and consideration of menopausal status and history of chronic diseases would be prudent.
