In this paper, we investigate the $SP_{\alpha}$-integral and the $M_{\alpha}$-integral defined on an interval of the n-dimensional Euclidean space $\mathbb{R}^n$. In particular, we show that these two integrals are equivalent.

${\alpha}$-Al2O3 powder was produced at 1000$^{\circ}C$ by the boehmite sol-gel process with seeding 2 wt% ${\alpha}$-Al2O3. The processes and mechanisms of fornation of ${\alpha}$-Al2O3 was investigated using DTA/TG, XRD, TR spectroscopy and thermodynamic analysis. The specific surface area of the obtained ${\alpha}$-Al2O3 was 16.3㎡/g.

In the present paper, we treat a Finsler space with a special (${\alpha},\;{\beta}$)-metric $L({\alpha},\;{\beta})\;\;C_1{\alpha}＋C_2{\beta}+{\alpha}^2/{\beta}$ satisfying some conditions. We find a condition that a Finsler space with a special (${\alpha},\;{\beta}$)-metric be a Berwald space. Then it is shown that if a two-dimensional Finsler space with a special (${\alpha},\;{\beta}$)-metric is a Landsberg space, then it is a Berwald space.

In a Finsler space, we introduce a special $(\alpha,\beta)$-metric L satisfying $L^2(\alpha,\beta) = c_1\alpha^2 + 2c_2\alpha\beta + c_3\beta^2$, which $c_i$ are constants. We investigate the Berwald connection in a Finsler space with this special $\alpha,\beta)$-metric.

In this paper, we will show some relations between decomposition series {$\pi^{\alpha}q\;:\;{\alpha}$ is an ordinal} and topological series {$\tau_{\alpha}q\;:\;{\alpha}$ is an ordinal} for a convergence structure q and the formular ${\pi}^{\beta}(\tau_{\alpha}q)={\pi}^{{\omega^{\alpha}\beta}}q$, where $\omega$ is the first limit ordinal and $\alpha$ and $\beta({\geq}1)$ are ordinals.

This study examines the clinical availability of alpha amplitude, asymmetry and mean frequency in old age as EEG indexes reflecting brain health condition. The EEGs of prefrontal lobes in eye closure state were measured for 4 minutes with 72 male and female elderly people aged 73. Subjects were divided into higher and lower groups based on average values of alpha amplitude, asymmetry and mean frequency. The results of correlations and t-test among EEG indexes were as follows. First, the higher Alpha altitude was, the higher physical and mental stress resistance and left-to-right brain communication were, and the lower mean Alpha mean frequency location was. The higher Alpha asymmetry was, the lower left-to-right communication level was. Second, as Alpha power of right brain was higher than that of left brain, Alpha amplitude and mental stress resistance and left-to-right brain communication level were higher. Third, as Alpha mean frequency location was higher, Alpha amplitude and mental anti-stress level were lowered and arousal level was enhanced. These high correlations and complementary meaning among quantitative EEG indicators demonstrated the possibility of biomarkers reflecting brain health state in old age.

Experimental study was performed regarding the effects of disc-like filler orientation and contents on the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of polypropylene composites using the three dimensional ellipsoids ($a_1$ > $a_2$ > $a_3$) analyzed by two aspect ratios(${\rho}_{\alpha}=a_1/a_3$and ${\rho}_{\beta}=a_1/a_2$). Measured data were compared with the theoretical approaches proposed by Lee et al. Mica and talc were useed as disk-like fillers in the composites. As experimental results, ${\alpha}_{11}/{\alpha}_m$ decreased down to ca. 0.56 with mica content of 20 wt% and the aspect ratios, ${\rho}_{\alpha}=13.5$, ${\rho}_{\beta}=1.8$. However, ${\alpha}_{33}/{\alpha}_m$ increased to more than 1. In the case of talc, ${\alpha}_{11}/{\alpha}_m$ decreased to ca. 0.63 with 20 wt% and ${\rho}_{\alpha}=3.7$, ${\rho}_{\beta}=1.4$. Finally, the longitudinal CTEs (${\alpha}_{11}$) of polypropylene composites decreased as filler contents increased, but normal CTE (${\alpha}_{33}$) increased in the low filler contents like the theory.

Galactose-${\alpha}1,3$-galactose (${\alpha}1,3$-Gal) epitope is synthesized at a high concentration on the surface of pig cells by ${\alpha}1,3$-galactosyltransferase gene (GGTA1). The ${\alpha}1,3$-Gal is responsible for hyperacute rejection in pig-to-human xenotransplantation. The generation of transgenic pigs as organ donors for humans is necessary to eliminate the GGTA1 gene that synthesize $Gal{\alpha}$(1,3)Gal. To prevent hyperacute graft rejection in pig-to-human xenotransplantation, previously, we developed ${\alpha}1,3$-galactosyltransferase gene-knock-out somatic cell by homologous recombination. In this study, we established cell lines of ${\alpha}1,3$-GT knock-out expressing hDAF and hHT gene from minipig fibroblasts to apply somatic cell nuclear transfer. The hDAF and hHT mRNA were expressed in the knock-in somatic cells and ${\alpha}1,3$-GT mRNA was suppressed. However, the knock-in somatic cells were increased resistance to human serum-mediated cytolysis.
