  • Let M be a fixed left R-module. For a left R-module X, we introduce the notion of M-prime (resp. M-semiprime) submodule of X such that in the case M=R, it coincides with prime (resp. semiprime) submodule of X. Other concepts encountered in the general theory are M-$m$-system sets, M-$n$-system sets, M-prime radical and M-Baer's lower nilradical of modules. Relationships between these concepts and basic properties are established. In particular, we identify certain submodules of M, called "primeM-ideals", that play a role analogous to that of prime (two-sided) ideals in the ring R. Using this definition, we show that if M satisfies condition H (defined later) and $Hom_R(M,X){\neq}0$ for all modules X in the category ${\sigma}[M]$, then there is a one-to-one correspondence between isomorphism classes of indecomposable M-injective modules in ${\sigma}[M]$ and prime M-ideals of M. Also, we investigate the prime M-ideals, M-prime submodules and M-prime radical of Artinian modules.

  • Let $R ={\oplus}_{n{\in}Z}R_n$ be a graded commutative Noetherian ring and let I be a graded ideal of R and J be an arbitrary ideal. It is shown that the i-th generalized local cohomology module of graded module M with respect to the (I, J), is graded. Also, the asymptotic behaviour of the homogeneous components of $H^i_{I,J}(M)$ is investigated for some i's with a specified property.

  • Let m, n, r be nonzero fixed positive integers, R a 2-torsion free prime ring, Q its right Martindale quotient ring, and L a non-central Lie ideal of R. Let D : $R{\rightarrow}R$ be a skew derivation of R and $E(x)=D(x^{m+n+r})-D(x^m)x^{n+r}-x^mD(x^n)x^r-x^{m+n}D(x^r)$. We prove that if $E(x)=0$ for all $x{\in}L$, then D is a usual derivation of R or R satisfies $s_4(x_1,{\ldots},x_4)$, the standard identity of degree 4.

  • An le-module M over a commutative ring R is a complete lattice ordered additive monoid (M, ⩽, +) having the greatest element e together with a module like action of R. This article characterizes the le-modules RM such that the pseudo-prime spectrum XM endowed with the Zariski topology is a Noetherian topological space. If the ring R is Noetherian and the pseudo-prime radical of every submodule elements of RM coincides with its Zariski radical, then XM is a Noetherian topological space. Also we prove that if R is Noetherian and for every submodule element n of M there is an ideal I of R such that V (n) = V (Ie), then the topological space XM is spectral.

  • Let M be a finite commutative nilpotent algebra over a perfect field k of prime characteristic p and let $M^p$ be the sub-algebra of M generated by $x^p$, $x{\in}M$. Eggert[3] conjectures that $dim_kM{\geq}pdim_kM^p$. In this paper, we show that the conjecture holds for $M=R^+/I$, where $R=k[X_1,\;X_2,\;{\cdots},\;X_t]$ is a polynomial ring with indeterminates $X_1,\;X_2,\;{\cdots},\;X_t$ over k and $R^+$ is the maximal ideal of R generated by $X_1,\;X_2,{\cdots},\;X_t$ and I is a monomial ideal of R containing $X_1^{n_1+1},\;X_2^{n_2+1},\;{\cdots},\;X_t^{n_t+1}$ ($n_i{\geq}0$ for all i).

  • All rings considered here are commutative rings with identity and all modules considered here are unital left modules. A submodule N of an R-module M is said to be extended to M if $N=aM$ for some ideal a of R and it is said to be fully invariant if ${\varphi}(L){\subseteq}L$ for every ${\varphi}{\in}End(M)$. An R-module M is called a [resp., fully invariant] multiplication module if every [resp., fully invariant] submodule is extended to M. The class of fully invariant multiplication modules is bigger than the class of multiplication modules. We deal with prime submodules and associated prime submodules of fully invariant multiplication modules. In particular, when M is a nonzero faithful multiplication module over a Noetherian ring, we characterize the zero-divisors of M in terms of the associated prime submodules, and we show that the set Aps(M) of associated prime submodules of M determines the set $Zdv_M(M)$ of zero-dvisors of M and the support Supp(M) of M.

  • Let R denote a commutative noetherian ring, and let 𝐱 := x1, …, xd be an R-regular sequence. Suppose that 𝖆 denotes a monomial ideal with respect to 𝐱. The first purpose of this article is to show that 𝖆 is irreducible if and only if 𝖆 is a generalized-parametric ideal. Next, it is shown that, for any integer n ≥ 1, (x1, …, xd)n = ⋂P(f), where the intersection (irredundant) is taken over all monomials f = xe11 ⋯ xedd such that deg(f) = n - 1 and P(f) := (xe1+11, ⋯, xed+1d). The second main result of this paper shows that if 𝖖 := (𝐱) is a prime ideal of R which is contained in the Jacobson radical of R and R is 𝖖-adically complete, then 𝖆 is a parameter ideal if and only if 𝖆 is a monomial irreducible ideal and Rad(𝖆) = 𝖖. In addition, if a is generated by monomials m1, …, mr, then Rad(𝖆), the radical of a, is also monomial and Rad(𝖆) = (ω1, …, ωr), where ωi = rad(mi) for all i = 1, …, r.

  • Let R be a prime ring, I a nonzero ideal of R, $d$ a derivation of R, $m({\geq}1)$, $n({\geq}1)$ two fixed integers and $a{\in}R$. (i) If $a((d(x)y+xd(y)+d(y)x+yd(x))^n-(xy+yx))^m=0$ for all $x,y{\in}I$, then either $a=0$ or R is commutative; (ii) If $char(R){\neq}2$ and $a((d(x)y+xd(y)+d(y)x+yd(x))^n-(xy+yx)){\in}Z(R)$ for all $x,y{\in}I$, then either $a=0$ or R is commutative.

  • Let R be a commutative ring with identity and let M be an R-module. Then M is called a multiplication module if for every submodule N of M there exists an ideal I of R such that N = 1M. Let M be a non-zero multiplication R-module. Then we prove the following: (1) there exists a bijection: N(M)$\bigcap$V(ann$\_{R}$(M))$\rightarrow$Spec$\_{R}$(M) and in particular, there exists a bijection: N(M)$\bigcap$Max(R)$\rightarrow$Max$\_{R}$(M), (2) N(M) $\bigcap$ V(ann$\_{R}$(M)) = Supp(M) $\bigcap$ V(ann$\_{R}$(M)), and (3) for every ideal I of R, The ideal $\theta$(M) = $\sum$$\_{m(Rm :R M) of R has proved useful in studying multiplication modules. We generalize this ideal to prove the following result: Let R be a commutative ring with identity, P $\in$ Spec(R), and M a non-zero R-module satisfying (1) M is a finitely generated multiplication module, (2) PM is a multiplication module, and (3) P$^{n}$M$\neq$P$^{n+1}$ for every positive integer n, then $\bigcap$$^{$\_{n=1}$(P$^{n}$ + ann$\_{R}$(M)) $\in$ V(ann$\_{R}$(M)) = Supp(M) $\subseteq$ N(M).

  • Let a be an ideal of a commutative Noetherian ring R, M a finitely generated R-module and N a weakly Laskerian R-module. We show that if N has finite dimension d, then $Ass_R(H^d_a(N))$ consists of finitely many maximal ideals of R. Also, we find the least integer i, such that $H^i_a$(M, N) is not consisting of finitely many maximal ideals of R.
