With improvements of information technology, the cases which automation technology are applied to construction site are increased. These technologies have advantages and limitations for construction site, therefore they has to be considered in order to maximize benefit. This study are to suggest the process for optimizing management of steel framing high-rise building construction.

Corrosion sensors were devised to develop a system whereby the depth of chloride permeation from concrete surfaces can be monitored in cover concrete of reinforced concrete structures. For making sensor which is similar to rebar author uses Screen printer machines, Ag paste and Fe powder. Appropriate portion of Ag and Fe is over 1:2. The resistance of sensors increased as the degree of corrosion increased. And according to cover depth author suggests sensor system which has a demanded cover depth. It was therefore confirmed that the corrosion sensor can monitor chloride permeation by change of resistance.

Conventional apartment building projects have favored wall slab structure for the ease of construction and economic viability. However, wall slab structure, consisting of bearing walls, makes remodeling a difficult challenge. In addition, as the amendment to the Building Act in November, 2005 incentivized easy-to-remodel Rahmen structure design for apartment building in terms of floor area ratio and the number of stories, were are seeing more use of PC construct method in apartment building projects gradually. However, PC construction method requires complex connections between beams and columns, making it difficult to install and remove formwork. Furthermore, it is not possible to reuse forms after removal, generating lots of construction wastes, and it is necessary to install new forms again when the size of connection changes in line with modification of column cross-section. Researchers in Korea and elsewhere in the world have focused on structural performance of connection in PC construction method, with little attention to alternative approaches to improving connection forms for PC construction method. Accordingly, this research aims to study an approach to improving connection forms for PC construction method.

This study is an Investigation on the Watertightness Properties of Rain-Block System on the Sliding-Roof Joint of Large-Span Membrane Structures. In this experimental, we test the watertightness performance of joint part of sliding door in roof of large span membrane structure(for pilot project) under environment of rain and wind. A shape of rain water blocking systems of joint part in sliding door verifies the defects and effects of water leakage prevention in precipitation with the wind conditions. For obtaining watertightness of large span membrane structures, it is necessary quality of joints and performance, and quality of membrane material of a retractable roof as well as a closed roof. Also, for obtaining quality in joints, it is essential to make a watertightness guideline for design of large-span membrane.

This paper describes the possibility of the raft thickness reduction for mega foundations system of super high-rise buildings through a case study on domestic and foreign super high-rise buildings. In case of super high-rise buildings, the size of foundations, especially raft becomes wider and deeper because of heavy upper load. It is difficult to pour concrete of this kind of mega foundation, and cracks by hydration heat could happen. Therefore, there are several ways to reduce the raft thickness of mega foundations. Piled-raft could be the one because moment and shear load that the raft subjects on by soil reaction are lower. The effect of the piled-raft foundation on the raft thickness reduction could be confirmed by comparison of super high-rise buildings with pile, piled-raft and mat foundation. Furthermore, it was showed that the raft thickness could be more reduced by locating piles right under the vertical members of super structures.

This study was conducted to draw various decisive elements of a reasonable heat curing method and to examine the importance in deciding a construction method when constructing cold weather concrete. As a result, the items proposed as important elements at the time of decision of a heat curing method included economy, workability, maintainability, insulation capability, reduced construction period and usability. As a result of importance by items under AHP technique, it was found the most important element was insulation capability, followed by reduced construction period and workability. As a result of comparison of a heat supplying and a heat insulation method by dual bubble sheet differed 2 times as much as a heat supplying method, especially the evaluation degree by insulation capability and reduced construction period was high.

Helical steel piles are being widely used in foundation for the buildings in urban areas because of their high compressive and tensile capacities. Helical steel piles have many advantages; ease installation, a vibration-free and low level of noise process, and so on. However, the most researches are about the capacity of helical steel piles under uplift condition. Therefore, this paper focuses on the capacity under compressive loading according to the soil condition. The bearing capacity of helical steel piles varies with the diameter of the helix and shaft and the bearing area of helical steel piles is not always identical with the sum of helix and shaft area due to the difference of each bearing mechanism. Therefore, the experiment with the parameters of the ratio of helix and shaft diameter and soil condition will be carried out to survey the effective helix area under a given soil condition for the bearing capacity of helical steel piles.

This study investigated the typical standards of B kind of standard specification related to home and abroad forms design and compared them, and the results can be summarized as follows. In case of domestic standards, regulations on most forms design was described relatively in detail. and in case of CTEA among them, it included detailed contents of load conditions, lifting and subsidence. In case of abroad standards, the design regulations are only simply mentioned, not in detail, in ACI, CEB-FIP and BS, and JCI and JASS were similar to domestic KCI and KASS regulations. As to structural calculation in forms design regulations, most of domestic regulations included detailed matters on structural calculation, among them, CTEA shows the most detailed matters on it. On the other hand, it could be known that in case of abroad standards, most standards do not include matters on structural calculation except ACI, JCI and JASS.

The attention in construction Automation is getting higher since it could be the answer to the lack of skilled labor by decrease in construction population and aging which adversely affects productivity and quality in the construction site. We are on the way to develop a construction automation system adequate for domestic circumstances in Korea; it is called RCA(Robotic-crane based Construction Automation)system. Climbing hydraulic robots system is a part of RCA system and makes Construction factory(CF) climb through the guide rail on the core wall. The safety of climbing hydraulic robots system is at issue due to the overloaded weight of CF. Preventing this issue, present study did the design verification through the structural analysis and the simulation. Mock-up test also was done to analyze the drive performance of climbing hydraulic robots system.

In this study, with new office construction site of S Construction company as subject, to solve all the problems according to reduced hydration heat and temperature crack of mass concrete used mat foundation and placing time difference, low heat combination of coarse particle cement and fly-ash and setting time difference applied AE water reducing agent, and to prevent the early frost damage caused by low outdoor temperature, a heat insulation method using double bubble sheet was conducted. As a result, it was found that hydration heat and setting time difference was reduced by applying a low heat combination and setting time difference construction method, and that the high insulation capability of the double bubble sheet was able to not only prevent the early frost damage but also reduce temperature difference between the central part and the upper part of mass concrete.

Presently, the apartment house is being constructed by the very various methods. Among them, the formwork having the process rate of 60~70% of the whole construction work is most important. So this study was analyzed comparing euro-form with aluminium-form in the formwork. A case study is using euro-form and aluminum-form in the framework, inquiry into a similar case construction site of below the 20 floor. Then this case analyzed efficiency; construction period, construction cost, workability. Consequently, the aluminum-form is more effective than the euro-form in the construction site of below the 20 floor.

The contamination(stain phenomenon) of natural marble(sipeol, bianko) of art wall of on-site interior finishing system and wall of elevator hall has occurred. The bottom of the art wall of stone junction tile has defects as cracks. To solve these problems, our research team developed eco-friendly complex stone panel(stone 4T + cement board 6T) and high-frequency hot-melt construction method that can construct in winter.

In this study, we conducted an impact assessment of the amount of volatile organic solvents addition on hybrid water-proofing system of urethane waterproof coating material and modified asphalt sheet. Also, we conducted a comparative assessment of whether modified asphalt sheet is dissolved or not and oil leakage by dissolution in order to perform a comparative analysis of characteristics of the impact on modified asphalt sheet according to the volatility of volatile organic solvents included in urethane waterproof coating material. The test was carried out by adding the same amount of organic solvents into each experimental group which is subject to volatility and non-volatility of organic solvents, respectively. The results of the test showed that in both experimental groups modified asphalt sheet was dissolved when adding over 10 percent of organic solvents regardless of volatility, and oil leakage observed only in the experimental group subject to volatility.

In this study, many concrete specimens were tested to investigate the variations of strength characteristics of high-strength concrete due to amount of recycled coarse aggregates, and to investigate the effect of steel-fiber reinforcement on concrete using recycled coarse aggregates. Test results showed that all of the variations of compressive, tensile and flexural strength appeared in linear reduction according to icrease the amount of recycled coarse aggregates, and steel-fiber reinforcement of 0.75% volumn of concrete recovered completely spliting tensile strength and flexual strength and recovered greatly compressive strength of concrete using recycled coarse aggregates of 100% displacement. And test results showed that the shear strength falled rapidly at 30% of replacement ratio so far as 34% of strength reduction ratio, but after that it falled a little within 3% up to the replacement ratio 100%, and steel-fiber reinforcement of 0.75% of concrete volumn recovered completely the deteriorated shear strength, moreover improved the shear strength above 50% rather than that of concrete using natural coarse aggregates.

The purpose of the study was to analyze dry shrinkage of HVFAC (high volume fly ash concrete) with admixture to improve early strength. The results were as follows. In dry shrinkage of HVFAC with admixture to improve early strength, F3 had the lowest amount of dry shrinkage. The next is in order of Plain, F3-f15 and F3-f15r5. The study used index function modelfor analysis on dry shrinkage. Coefficient of determination was more than 0.97 in all mix, which made it possible to have a good estimation.

This study investigates the physical properties of the acrylic emulsion mortar according to variable composition set of redispersible emulsion powders. This materials have to be composed of many types of binders and chemical additives. So it is difficult to decide suitable mixing proportion of composition materials. The redispersible emulsion powders using "2, 4, 6, 8kg" of EVA polymers dispersion ranges are prepared with acrylic emulsion mortars and were tested for basic characteristics such as flexural, and compressive strength, wheel load. Through experiments we found that the improved formula to satisfy the standard of wheel load by EVA polymers, and the masration rangs between about 2.0% to 2.6% which the white portland cenmet and EVA polymers is good for resistauce wheel load.

The study is compared temperature history and strength of concrete followed by covering method of insulation curing of cold weather concrete with double bubble sheet. The results were as follows. First of all, in temperature history of concrete, the internal temperature of concrete fell down to
$0^{\circ}C$ before/after 60 hours, having nothing to do with covering method. The study could see that, when sheet was isolated, it fell down to low temperature quickly in early curing. When the study measured compressive strength of core specimen, there were no large differences among placing methods. However, compressive strength fell down in all ages when sheet was isolated. -
This study deals with the properties of polymer-modified mortars with a nitrite-type hydrocalumite, which are effectively used as intelligent patch materials for deteriorated reinforced concrete structures. The calumite is a material that can adsorb the chloride ions (Cl-) causing the corrosion of reinforcing bars and liberate the nitrite ions (NO2-) inhibiting the corrosion in reinforced concrete, and can provide a self-corrosion inhibition function to the reinforced concrete. Polymer-modified mortars using hydrocalumite and terpolymer powders are prepared with various calumite contents and polymer-binder ratios, and tested for corrosion inhibition. Subsequently, regardless of the polymer-binder ratio, the replacement of ordinary portland cement with the calumite has a marked effect on the corrosion-inhibiting property of the polymer-modified mortars.

This study deals with the analysis of color-difference and physical property of anti-corrosion coatings using at inside of concrete tank for drinking water. Because anti-corrosion coatings are effected by chemical attack, color and physical property are changed. So in this study when epoxy resin coatings of 3 types were received chemical attack by Cl- and NaOH, we present the co-relationship between color-difference and bond strength. For this study, we used the colorimetry, which can measure the degree of color difference on surface of materials. As the results, in case of Cl-, color change is appeared, bond strength also is decreased. From this experiment, we could know that color change due to chemical aging has the deep relationship with physical performance(bond strength) materials. further researches are needed.

This study, by analyzing autogenous shrinkage of high-strength mortar according to changes of curing temperature, examined whether or not predictive autogenous shrinkage by an accumulated temperature method can be calculated. As a result, it could be known that dependency of autogenous shrinkage on temperature can be examined, but the autogenous shrinkage amount according to accumulated temperature was similar before and after the early
$100 ^{\circ}D{\cdot}D$ and, after that, the difference in shrinkage amount by curing temperature was large. -
A permeability of concrete is a very important factors evaluating durability. So, we are carrying out a lot of relational data bases and experiment regarding a permeability. In order to evaluate a permeability of concrete, we are proceeding study on the water penetration and diffusion in concrete by water pressure. Because a way to evaluate a permeability of concrete has a limit. We will present a good method of evaluating durability of concrete using the water penetration depth of concrete by water pressure. To carry this out, we executed experiment with penetration depth of concrete by water pressure and verified it though FEM analysis.

As a result of physical characteristics of using meta-kaolin and alkali accelerator, it was found that higher curing temperature density is favorable to strength development at early age and the higher the age is, the higher, most of the compressive strength gets. Also, I was shown that more than atmospheric curing, steam curing was favorable for development of compressive strength. When the temperature of curing temperature was higher, most of the compressive strengths were higher. Thus, based on this study, it was understood that environmental-friendly chemically combined concrete using meta-kaolin and alkali accelerator can be utilized without using cement.

The purpose of this study is to produce artificial lightweight aggregate. The properties of aggregate are deducted by analysing the plasticity of aggregate according to the addictive contents of
$CaCO_3$ and$Al_2O_3$ on constant plastic temperature($1150^{\circ}C{\sim}1160^{\circ}C$ ) and the specific gravity, the percentage of water absorbtion. The density on the temperature of$1150^{\circ}C{\sim}1160^{\circ}C$ which results from that the plastic temperature of pottery stone is decreased by increasing the addictive contents of$CaCO_3$ and$Al_2O_3$ manufacturing artificial light weight aggregate using pottery stone is included in the arrange of light weight aggregate density. And the percentage of water absorbtion is 4.2~14% which is similar to or lower than existing artificial light weight aggregate. The unit volume weight is in inverse proportion to density and to increase addictive contents of flux. -
This study revealed unusual weather phenomena by comparing and analyzing monthly average temperature and amount of snowfall for the past 10 years, and, based on the weather phenomena, analyzed damage cases of concrete structures in winter. As a result, the temperature for the recent one year became greatly low compared with the monthly average for the past 10 years, and the snowfall increased by 4-5 times compared with the past, so that the frost damage of concrete structures also greatly occurred. Accordingly, in case of concrete construction, because there may occur various variables owing to abnormal weather conditions, it is required that thorough quality control should be performed even from the stage of construction plan, execution and maintenance.

Development and practical emerging construction technologies has been studied as one of key solution for overcoming these barriers. Many literatures indicated that effective performance evaluation methodologies are demanding for efficient applications of new technologies. This paper presents a performance evaluation methodology using construction simulation technique and introduces studies of two cases where the steel staircase system, as an new technologies was applied and where the conventional method of staircase concrete works. Productivity was measured and calculated by site observation and construction simulations. This results show the quantified influence of new technology to site personnels and assist them to make various decisions for using or not using the technology depending on their own situations.

Nowadays, the construction of high-rise building is rapidly increasing. There are many cost-increasing factors to the management in the high-rise building construction. For large and complex projects like the high-rise building construction, the more systematic methods and tools are needed for cost control. It is important to identify major cost control items and to manage them for effective cost management in the high-rise building construction. This study proposes a method of identifying major cost-increasing factors in the high-rise building construction based on the Delphi method.

최근 전 세계적으로 환경문제에 대한 관심이 증가하면서 건축분야에서도 친환경을 위한 노력이 증가하고 있다. 본 논문은 BIM 모델에 근거하여 친환경 현장시공의 위험도 관리에 관한 연구를 하였다. 친환경건축은 지속가능한 발전을 위한 건축으로 3R(Reducing environment pollution, Reducing resource use and Reducing energy source use)표준에 도달해야 한다. BIM은 3D설계, 시공, 유지관리의 효율성 극대화를 위해 건축설계를 2D에서 3D로 전환하고 수량, 공정 및 각종 분석 등의 정보를 통합적으로 활용하는 기술이다. 그리고 4D는 3D기술에 시간을 추가한 것으로써, 3D 모델이나 4D모델에 기반을 두고 있으며, 원가관리, 계획관리, 설계 및 재료관리 등이 BIM 때문에 변화하고 확대하고 있다. 이를 통해 위험관리도를 분석할 수 있다. 본 논문은 먼저 세 분야(환경요소, 자원요소, 에너지요소)에서 친환경 시공의 위험요소를 분석하고 판별하는 방법을 소개한다. 현장에서 일어날 수 있는 위험 확인은 이 공사를 통해서 위험을 판별하고 위험특성도를 찾을 수 있다. 다음으로 친환경위험과 BIM의 관계를 분석한다. 요즘은 BIM이 많이 활용되어서 쉽게 BIM 모델의 데이터베이스를 이끌어 낼 수 있고, 위험을 미리 예방할 수 있으며 옮길 수도 있다. 친환경위험의 세 분야는 분석을 통해서 개별적으로 위험관리를 할 수 있다. 친환경건물은 에너지분야 비율이 비교적 많은데 현장시공의 친환경도 비슷하다. 따라서 위험을 미리 예방하여 에너지를 절약할 수 있다. 소프트웨어를 통해 공간과 에너지성능을 잘 알 수 있고, 사용될 에너지의 전체를 계산할 수 있고, 라이프 사이클 등을 미리 알 수 있다. 그래서 4D모델이나 5D모델을 이용하면서 시공인원이 잘 판별하면 위험을 예방하거나 옮길 수 있다. 특히 시공환경 분야, 시공소음, 수질 오염 등의 문제점을 분석할 수 있다. 친환경공사는 복잡하고, 시간주기도 길어서 자원과 에너지를 많이 소모하기 때문에 친환경위험관리에 적합한 판별이 필요하며, 이를 통해 지속 가능한 발전을 할 수 있다.

The concept of construction information systems (IS) is very comprehensive and subjective. Acronyms in relation to the construction IS may include BIM, CIC, IT, nD-CAD, ERP, CALS, KM and so on. These terminologies are used in a somewhat mixed way causing possible misunderstandings in research and practice of construction information systems. Moreover, ever-changing construction business environment has widely affected the roles and methods of utilizing construction IS. Examples of these changes are dissemination of alternative project delivery systems, global standardization under highly competitive overseas market, and advancement of information and communication technologies. In this context, the purpose of this paper is to propose a high-level framework for information systems in the construction industry. Several different concepts in the area of construction IS were investigated first in order to identify the major variables of the framework. Trends of research and real-world implementations were then analyzed to support the rationale of the variables. Finally, a framework was proposed by re-arranging the relevant issues. Findings of this paper indicate that different acronyms commonly share many similar concepts in their definitions, however, in each acronym, the motivations and approaches to implementing construction IS are very different. Different approach can provide maximum effectiveness, while overlaps may happen causing practical inefficiency.

Recent economic slump has highlighted the needs for the construction industry to develop strategies to improve productivity and overhaul organization structure. Notably, it is urgent to improve productivity of apartment building construction projects that account for about half of the aggregate revenue of building construction projects in Korea. As construction site management manpower staffing plan has close relation with the productivity of building construction, it is essential to staff construction sites adequately in consideration of site conditions and characteristics. However, construction companies of Korea are still far from developing site management manpower staffing plan in reference to quantitative standards. Therefore, this research aims to analyze site management manpower staffing plan of apartment building construction project by means of density analysis. To be more specific, site organization charts and staffing plans of apartment building construction projects put together by large construction companies in Korea are studied and essential resources and their mobilization time of apartment building construction projects are examined. Conclusions herein will provide basic inputs to subsequent studies of apartment building construction site management manpower staffing standards.

The ultimate goal of construction is to complete the given work in the most economical and safest way within the required construction period while meeting the quality standards specified in the design drawing. There are a few characteristics of finish work. First, executed in subdivided processes, finish work involves a very diverse and complex structure. Second, there are no criteria for each segmented process with regard to the appropriate time of input. Third, it is not very necessary to set priorities for lead and lag works. This study intends to provide information on the completion of a project in accordance with the required duration by setting priorities in the delay of each detailed process of finish work to minimize delay in finish work. In this study, finish work is divided into wet work and other types of finish work, and the importance of each process is classified based on the given details of each process. In addition, the study employs a survey to analyze delay factors of a designer, a constructor, and a supplier. Using the survey results, the study sets priorities in delay of final work to provide information on the completion of an apartment project within the planned construction period.

As linear scheduling method has been used since 1929, Empire State Building linear schedule, it is being applied in various fields such as construction and manufacturing. When addressing concurrent critical path occurring on linear schedule of construction, the empirical researches stress the resource management which should be applied for optimizing work flow, flexible work productivity and continuos resource allocation. However, work relationships has been usually overlooked for making the linear schedule from existing network schedule. Therefore, this research analyze the previous researches related to linear scheduling model and then propose the method that can be applied for adopting the relationships of network schedule to the linear schedule.

In the construction industry, construction management system using information technology has been applied diversely to increase productivity. Although IT device such as PDA, RFID, Barcode, wireless network and web camera has been introduced in construction site, the usage of these device is restricted, because these cause engineer to do additional work. The suggested process using Digital Pen in this study, which can lessen engineer's additional work, get defect data promptly. Also accumulated data is utilized effectively for analyzing construction site. The purpose of this study is to introduce Digital Pen System as a means of construction data acquisition for improving productivity.

Owing to the deregulation, low interest, sufficient liquidity and etc., the real estate market has been recovered in some areas and some investment products to the degree being concerned about the overheating. In order that the construction and real estate industries, which play the considerable role in our economy, may be soundly grown toward contribution of the stable growth of our economy, it is being requested to acquire the transparency, predictability and trade stability of the international level conforming to the deregulation during the sale in lots of the building. For this reason, keeping pace with the trend of the construction industry and the current of the society, which are more and more large-scaled and globalized, it will be necessary to solve the social matters and to construct the more efficient and continuous construction management by widening and activating the field of CM through scheme of more specialized, sustainable and general CM method and establishment of new business bounded system in the construction management.

Due to the diversification and complication of construction projects, controlling risks from the early design-planning phase gives huge impact on success of the construction project. As a part of managing uncertainties it is also important to estimate the project cost several times. Especially, estimating project cost in the early stage gives effects on making a budget for projects. This study estimated the apartment project cost using case-based reasoning(CBR), which is the process of solving new problems based on the past problems. For this, we deduced the apartment cost influence factors which can be gathered in the early stage of project. Based on the factors we established the database for apartment project and calculated the attribute value, attribute similarity and case similarity. Although we retrieve the most similar case from the database, it is very hard to utilize it directly due to the uniqueness of each project. So, Genetic Algorithm(GA) was applied in revising the cost of the retrieved-case. Therefore, the accuracy of the prediction was improved by GA optimization.

As the recent economic downturn continues to undermine the profits of construction industry in Korea, it has become ever more pressing to improve productivity of the industry. Since construction site management manpower staffing plan has close bearing on the productivity of construction projects, it is essential to estimate and mobilize adequate number of resources as per conditions and characteristics of each construction site. However, there are no reference approaches in practice to provide baseline for site management manpower staffing plan or estimation of manpower requirement. Therefore, this study aims to examine factors affecting productivity that warrants first and foremost consideration in development of site management manpower staffing plan during the initial phase of building construction project by conducting survey on industry stakehoders with hands-on responsibilities in construction sites and analyzing their responses. Conclusions herein will provide basic inputs for subsequent studies on development of site management manpower staffing plan as per project characteristics.

In this study, it was accomplished the analysis of apartment house shape and the work factor productivity of the form work for the application of rational construction cost in apartment house. The form work is highly depended on the manpower in frame construction, and it has been a high impact during estimating of frame work cost.

In this study, it was accomplished to analyze the productivity and manpower through the activity of rebar work for the application of rational construction cost in apartment house. And the rebar work is very important in the view of the expense and safety, and durability in the construction of R/C structure. Also the rebar work is very affected with productivity owing to the lack of manpower and materials cost rise.

In tall building construction, It is important to reduce construction duration of slab form work. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to assess the required performance for reduction of construction duration in slab form work of tall buildings. We surveyed the required performance and their degrees of importance and economical efficiency through the interview and questionnaire survey by related experts. This study proposes the guideline to develop improved formwork system for reduction of construction duration.

Recently, our construction industry progress using the BIM system in the construction designing part. However, there are not preparing government policy about BIM even if there are many good things using BIM system on planning of heavy equipment. Therefore, planning for a input system of heavy equipment using BIM will be a kind of first challenge in this part. However, we've tried using strength point of BIM system to make better condition of our construction fields. Public institutions and owners have been introduced to use Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools. Learning BIM becomes an important factor in design process of undergrad program. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate an integrated architectural engineering design process using BIM tools. BIM education programs are analyzed to compare the level of detail in BIM education. An architectural engineering design class needs to involve BIM to introduce integrated process. An architectural engineering design process needs be based on understanding design, building structure, construction and building services. 3D Modeling helps understanding a building structure and checking environment-friendly element analysis. As a result of this research, new process of design education is proposed under four issues.

The safety accident is one of the formidable issues in construction field, and in order to prevent safety accident, contractors perform safety education, safety control document, meeting with labors, and safety instruction in construction phase. However, safety accident is occurred continuously, it is needed to analyze which factors are affected to safety accident. day of the week, daily construction cost, and daily work task were selected as those factors. The result in this research represented that those factors were not considered as an critical one in safety accident. Because of approach limitation to safety accident, only two case studies were collected. If more safety accident cases are gathered in future study, it will clarify the cause of safety accident and will prevent safety accident.

As recent construction project has specialization and high-level of the engineering, Although, It has always uncertainty of agreement and contract enforcement, factors of difficult to predict etc. in each phase. In this process, Various interest groups involved are continuously generated dispute of interest each others. So this paper analyzed the dispute cases in construction projects from the Supreme Court and Korean Commercial Arbitration Board in Korea, and then identified the dispute types and causes that occur during all of the construction project phases with their influence analysis. At the result, It will be contributed to the basic data for pre-dispute prevention in the construction projects.

Construction companies are now trying a variety of cost-cutting strategies in the midst of recent slump of construction market. Notably, contract workers and local hires are accounting for increasing portion of management manpower as a part of their cost-reduction drive. However, construction site manpower researches to date have focused primarily on productivity analysis of site laborers, with little attention to the productivity of site management resources. This study aims to analyze the staffing status of office building construction site management manpower in reference to project size. Conclusions herein will provide basic inputs for subsequent attempts to build a model to enable efficient staffing of construction site management manpower.

Today, as construction industry grows rapidly, technology has advanced throughout the whole industrial world. Architectural design phase has gone digital from the traditional method of drawing which was an important means in the past, and Building Information Modeling(BIM), an emerging new paradigm, changed architectural design process. So this paper studies the difference between a 2D-based and a BIM-based design process which are currently applied to domestic, and proposes a BIM-based integrated design process in order to help establish BIM to domestic efficiently.

Earthwork is an essential initial work discipline in construction projects and open to significant impacts of several factors such as weather, site conditions, soil conditions, underground installations and available construction machinery, calling for careful planning by managers. However, selection and combination of construction machinery and equipment for earthwork still depends on experience or intuition of managers in construction sites, with much room left for proper management in terms of cost, schedule and environmental load control. This research aims to analyze the performance of earthwork equipment and establish relations among various factors affecting a model for optimizing selection and combination of earthwork equipment as a precursor to the development of such model. We expect the conclusions herein to contribute to optimizing selection and combination of earthwork equipment and provide basic inputs for the development of applicable model that can save costs, reduce schedule and mitigate environmental load.

As mega-sized and complex building construction projects are increased, the importance of project scheduling and control is emphasized. Project scheduling and control technic is not used widely yet in Korea, but interests in it is progressively increased. By now, most research projects mainly have focused on scheduling issues. Project progress management is also as much important as project scheduling issues. Current state about project progress management in Korea is analysed and way for improvements are suggested in this paper. At first, research projects undergone and practice are analysed and fields experts are survey about current state about project progress management. This study suggests the progress management method for quantitative and qualitative project progress analysis.

Nowadays BIM(Building Information System) is applied to the public construction delivery system. BIM can help communications between project applicants through the extraction of the exact and prompt information. It also increases the efficiency of planning, construction, economic feasibility and maintenance in the whole project. Due to increasing demands of BIM, project evaluation and its process on the final deliverables have been in major interests. Thus, through the analysis of the current BIM project, characteristics, types and applications have been researched. We have discussed completeness, relationship and planning of BIM data, which are the standards of evaluation.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate chloride ion attack durability of concrete structure having experienced the high temperature fire. Mechanical properties and anti chloride ion diffusivity of concrete specimens were measured which have experienced of 2 hours heating at
$200{^{\circ}C},\;400{^{\circ}C},\;600{^{\circ}C},\;800{^{\circ}C}$ . The coupling FE model of thermal transfer and chloride ion diffusion was built to predict the life expectancy of RC structure using the property values by a series of experiment. -
The introduction of BIM-based project has increased in the domestic recently. Therefore the demand of BIM professionals is surging combined with the necessity of BIM education. However BIM education done in the domestic industry and public organization is only focusing on the 3D modeling, As a result an educatee could not put the real intention of BIM into practice. Thus through this study the wrong recognition of BIM will be corrected and this study analyzes the problems of domestic BIM-based project. This study examines the improvement of domestic BIM education cases by drawing the capability of BIM professionals.

It is an social issue that is various claim related on the defect of apartment house. The cost of defect repair is the most important matter that residents dispute constructers with the huge time wasting and cost loss. For resolve the matter of defect claim, it must to be analyze to the cost property that study and find to pending issue about the cost of defect repair. Therefore this study is investigated the cost property of defect repair relation on correlation analysis and regression analysis around the judgement cost. Consequently, cost of the judgment is associated with cost of the accusation and cost of the defect repair, is recognizable as them that is closely connected. Meanwhile, the more time of take effect and time of lawsuit increase, the more cost of the judgment decrease by draw the regression equation. On the contrary, there are same aspects in the case on the cost of the accusation and cost of the defect repair.

The Carbonation, one of the main deterioration factors of concrete, reduces capacity of members with providing rebar corrosion environment. Consequently it suggested standards of all countries of world, carbonation depth prediction equation of respective researchers and time to rebar corrosion initiation. As a result of carbonation depth prediction equation calculation, difference of time to rebar corrosion initiation is 149 years and difference of carbonation depth prediction equation is 162 years when water cement ratio is 50%. So a study on rebar corrosion with carbonation depth will need existing reliable data and verifications by experiment.

Recently, the construction industry has been changed more highly and complicacy. According to this, several informational systems of maintenance are introduced suitable the work and the purpose of each maintenance. However there are some problems in the manage the information of maintenance management by without the standization and systematic management of variable information from building life-cycle. This paper purposed the process of creation or management of information which is used for present maintenance through IFC-based facilities object library development is suggested for work efficiency of maintenance management. In addition, it can minimize the reproduce the same information unnecessarily. Fainally, it makes information compatibility through the building life-cycle highly by define the IFC-based object information and standardize the format of information.

Since many structures in the sea environment are damaged by chloride, appropriate repair strategy is required. Therefore in the paper, optimum period for the RC structure's repair is calculated with consideration of economic efficiency. Moreover, when the concrete members are repaired with the other material such as polymer mortar forr section restoration, their expected service life also calculated to predict more accurate repair period during the life span.

The Eco-performance assessment program was developed as part of Eco-performance management for buildings at the national level in developed countries. Cases of domestic Green Building Certification(GBC) system was developed but these program's destination of Eco-performance management for buildings needs systematic management by the limited GBC. Generally in the construction industry, Eco-performance management of Building Life-cycle is required. Therefore this paper develop the creation of Eco-performance information and management process, those are from design and maintenance management phases, through suggest the development of a information management for Eco-performance management of buildings. In addition, it makes to decrease the reproduction of information unnecessarily by analyzation of the related association between the information of facilities objects and Eco-performance management. Finally, study the previous reaserch and suggest the BIM by the method of information management and this paper purpose the development of web-based Eco BIM object library management system.

Recently, global warming problem is a major issue in international community. The carbon dioxide (
$CO_2$ ) emissions in the construction industry is one of the main factors causing a global warming problem. Accordingly, various researches on$CO_2$ emissions caused by the construction industry is needed and construction methods which is low$CO_2$ emissions should be developed. In this study,$CO_2$ emission cost is compared with roof waterproofing types in construction phase. As a result, the$CO_2$ emission costs of asphalt waterproofing is the highest. This research is to provide basic information for selecting appropriate construction methods in aspect of low$CO_2$ emission cost. -
Recently due to the crisis of environment and resources, construction industry that effect a lot on nature than any other industries is essentially required to consider environmental element through the life cycle. Lots of advanced countries and Korea have already been running green building certification systems. However, GBCC(Green Building Certification Criteria) in Korea is lack of assessment criteria that apply environmental characteristics of tall building in compared with that in advanced countries. To improve the problem, we compared GBCC with LEED(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) through the case study. This study provides preliminary data for reflecting environmental characteristics of tall building in GBCC.

The current status of developing ubiquitous campus is needed to enhance the part of facility management because the development of the campus is focused on education and administration parts. This study is a basic research for facility management of the campus. And this study is to contribute to make a plan for ubiquitous facility management of the campus. The ubiquitous campus can not be developed by only information technology, it should be developed in phases, such as law, administration, etc., and needed long-term commitment. This study will make a basic data for this phase of developing the ubiquitous campus.

The Architecture, engineering & construction (AEC) industry domains have grown more complex and larger. BIM is a digital representation of a building to facilitate the exchange and development of construction information integration and interoperability. Industry Foundation Classes (IFCs), under development by International Alliance for Interoperability (IAI), represent the part of buildings or elements of a process. IFC has been adopted as a central information repository in order to deliver integrated information. BIM softwares could open the IFC file, recognize standard objects. However, sometimes, information distortion or information loss occurs during information exchange. As project participants exchange BIM information by using BIM softwares they will need a reliable and efficient exchange of information. This paper suggests the BIM object information compatibility problems among BIM softwares and classify the BIM object information compatibility problems.

As construction projects get bigger and more complex, communication and information flow among participants become key success factors of a project. Accordingly, construction projects to respond to these changes being made in the introduction of BIM (Building Information Modeling). But as 2D drawings are still to be widely used in practical fields, it is very important that 2D drawing information could be easily and clearly projected from 3D BIM data. In this study suggest that efficiency of design phase in BIM-based construction projects for can cause confusion and additional work in traditional to BIM.
