This study examines the mordanting effect and multi functional properties of silk fabrics dyed with onion shell extracts that were mordanted with gallnut. The contents of this study are as follows. First, the optimum dyeing conditions were investigated by measuring the K/S value that depended the on dyeing conditions when silk fabrics were dyed with onion shell extracts. Second, the color, brightness, and chroma differences that appear after mordanting with gallnut were investigated by measuring the K/S and Munsell value. Third, the color fastness and antimicrobial activity were measured. When silk fabrics were dyed with onion shell extracts, the optimum dyeing conditions were a dyeing temperature of $70^{\circ}C$, a dyeing concentration of 160%, and a dyeing of time 30min. After mordanting with gallnut extracts, the K/S value increased remarkably and was larger in pre-mordanting than post-mordanting. The H value displayed yellow-red in all cases of pre and post mordanting. However, the H value was more reddish in the order of non-mordanting
The Seven-story Stone Pagoda of Jeongamsa Temple consists of dolomitic limestone. The surface of the stone stupa is efflorescene. There are spaces between parts in the stereobate and part of roof at the fifth story and above. The space between parts is colonized by biological contaminants. There are breakaway parts in the third, fifth, sixth, seventh story. The dry and wet cleaning of all the biological contaminants, efflorescene. The steam cleaning of rest of efflorescene. The use of poultice with oxalic acid, were done to remove the rust. Breakaway parts are inosculated by L30 and Por-rok. Spaces between parts are waterproofing by Porrok. After treatment, the efflorescene of part of waterproofing are comparatively scarce. So waterproofing is effective at reduced efflorescene and waterproof.

A wooden rice chest in National Museum of Korean Contemporary History was colored by black lacquer but it was degraded and fallen apart partially. The condition of the paint of front and left sides were relatively fine, but the coat of the top, back and right sides were exfoliated. The legs at the bottom of the chest were severly degraded and turned whitish. After condition checking flakes and deterioration of film, the conservation treatment was undertaken with cleaning surface. Wet cleaning was conducted that area had lots of dust area. Apply watery animal glue to degraded lacquer layers. The legs were exfoliated a lot, so applied watery animal glue several times. Other side of rice chest except Gaepan, that was not felt sense of difference, colored centrally Gaepan.

We prepared $0.25\~l.5um$ poly silicon gate array test group with $SiO_2$ spacers in order to employ NiCo composite salicide process from 15nm Ni/15nm Co/poly structure. We investigate the residual metal shape evolution by varying the rapid thermal silicide anneal temperature from $700^{\circ}C\;to\;1100^{\circ}C$. We observed the residual metals agglomerated into maze type and line type on $SiO_2$ field and silicide gate, respectively as temperature increased. We propose that lower silicide temperature would be favorable in newly proposed NiCo salicide in order to lessen the agglomeration causing the leakage and scum formation.

The purpose of this study is to check color change, color fastness, increase wt., antibiosis, and UV-protection efficiency depending on gallnut concentrations and mordanting methods, when silk fabrics dye with gromwell according to pH. This results will contribute in developing of natural mordant with multi function. The results are as follows. ${\lambda}_{max}$ of Gallnut extracts was near 299 nm. When gallnut was used as a mordant, at all pH levels, pre-mordanted fabrics had red color and post-mordanted ones had red-purple color which was closed to natural color of gromwell. Brightness of post-mordanted fabrics was higher than that of pre-mordanted fabrics. In the case of chroma, pre-mordanted fabrics was higher than post-mordanted fabrics. There was no significant difference of color, brightness, and chroma depending on gallnut concentration. As mordanting concentration increased, fabric weight gradually went up and increase weight reached maximum $17{\sim}19%$. At all pH levels, color fastness improved by pre-mordanting and post-mordanting, and it showed the maximum $4{\sim}5$ grade of wet fastness and 5 grade of dry cleaning. Antibiosis of silk fabric was improved by gromwell dyeing and synthetic tannin mordanting. Antibiosis of gallnut extracts was excellent. The color fastness and antibiosis were preserved after 10 cycle dry cleaning. UV-protection efficiency was excellent by dyeing with gromwell and mordanting with gallnut.
This study examined the hygiene management of ultrasound probes by examining the cleaning tools for hygiene management of ultrasound probes, the presence or absence of wearing glove as a personal protective equipment, and the awareness of ultrasound probe hygiene. Parts 154 questionnaire about people working in the ultrasound room were surveyed and analyzed. The single gel removal tool of the ultrasound probe was most frequently used with a 48.7% cotton towel, and for double gel removal tools, the first gel removal tool was 42.4% cotton towel and the second gel removal tool was used with 57.6% wet tissue. Antimicrobial wipes were the most commonly used drug and instrument used in ultrasound hygiene management at 58.4%. According to the survey of the presence or absence of wearing glove during ultrasound examination, 46.8% were found to be unworn. When examining the intracavity ultrasound, 30.9% of those who do not wear glove and 61.0% of hygiene awareness of ultrasound probes are 'normal'. According to age, ultrasound probe gel removal tool was not significant difference(p>0.05). According to the working organization and the working department, it was significant difference to wearing gloves during ultrasound examination(p<0.05). Therefore, in order to properly sanitize the ultrasound probe, it is considered that a guideline for hygiene management of the ultrasound probe that fits the situation in Korea is necessary, and it is considered that thorough hygiene management training for inspector is necessary for efficient hygiene management of the ultrasound probe.

The three-storied stone pagoda located in Seungansaji temple site consists mainly of medium to fine-grained biotite granite and granitic gneiss, and partly macrocrystalline gneiss, muscovite gneiss and gabbro. The surface of the stone pagoda is extensively colonized by lichen and moss due to surrounding trees and lawns, and severly deteriorated. Therefore, a comprehensive deterioration diagnosis has been carried out and conservation treatment was conducted in this study. For the conservation treatment, dry cleaning is performed throughout all the surface of the pagoda for naturally grown lichen and biological contaminants using a soft brush and wooden knife. Crustose lichen strongly adhere to the surface was removed by wet cleaning using distilled water. Also, protective railings were reinstalled to an appropriate height with taking the distance from the stone pagoda into account. Finally, the ground around the stone pagoda was repaired with clay sand, and dike was installed with a natural gradient to facilitate water drainage.

In order to find a sanitary logistic way to handle library books, papers and environmental sources contacting the books were tested in their microbial contamination load and methods to decontaminate the books were investigated. Generally bacterial load of inner book pages was very low, but increased when contaminated with liquid such as saliva. In contrast, their lateral ends showed much higher bacterial contamination presumably due to dry dust contamination on there. As operations to improve the sanitary book conditions, turbulent air blow was found to be workable for reducing dry dusty contamination and 280 nm ultra-violet (UV) light emitting diode (LED) was so for decontaminating wet surface contamination. Microbial inactivation by the UV LED could be realized with irradiation for more than 5 minutes at 2 cm distance. Air blow of 5.5 m/s for 0.5~1 minute could reduce the dusty contamination on a model book surface.
The surface states of gate dielectrics affect device performance severely in Pentacene OTFTs. We have fabricated organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) using pentacene as an active layer with chemically modified $SiO_2$ gate dielectrics. The effects of the surface treatment of $SiO_2$ on the electric characteristics of OTFTS were investigated. The surface of $SiO_2$ gate dielectric was treated by normal wet cleaning process, $O_2-plasma$ treatment, hexamethyldisilazane (HMDS), and octadecyltrichlorosilane (OTS) treatment. After the surface treatments, the contact angles and surface free energies were measured in order to analyze the surface state changes. In the electrical measurements, typical I-V characteristics of TFTs were observed. The field effect mobility, $\mu$, was calculated to be $0.29\;cm^2V^{-1}s^{-1}$ for OTS treated sample while those for the HMDS, $O_2$ plasma treated, and wet-cleaned samples were 0.16, 0.1, and $0.04\;cm^2V^{-1}s^{-1}$, respectively.
PURPOSE. This study evaluated the effectiveness of various methods for removing provisional cement from implant abutments, and what effect these methods have on the retention of prosthesis during the definitive cementation. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Forty implant fixture analogues and abutments were embedded in resin blocks. Forty cast crowns were fabricated and divided into 4 groups each containing 10 implants. Group A was cemented directly with the definitive cement (Cem-Implant). The remainder were cemented with provisional cement (Temp-Bond NE), and classified according to the method for cleaning the abutments. Group B used a plastic curette and wet gauze, Group C used a rubber cup and pumice, and Group D used an airborne particle abrasion technique. The abutments were observed using a stereomicroscope after removing the provisional cement. The tensile bond strength was measured after the definitive cementation. Statistical analysis was performed using one-way analysis of variance test (${\alpha}$=.05). RESULTS. Group B clearly showed provisional cement remaining, whereas the other groups showed almost no cement. Groups A and B showed a relatively smooth surface. More roughness was observed in Group C, and apparent roughness was noted in Group D. The tensile bond strength tests revealed Group D to have significantly the highest tensile bond strength followed in order by Groups C, A and B. CONCLUSION. A plastic curette and wet gauze alone cannot effectively remove the residual provisional cement on the abutment. The definitive retention increased when the abutments were treated with rubber cup/pumice or airborne particle abraded to remove the provisional cement.
