GEOMETRIC INEQUALITIES FOR WARPED PRODUCTS SUBMANIFOLDS IN GENERALIZED COMPLEX SPACE FORMS

  • In this article, we derived Chen's inequality for warped product bi-slant submanifolds in generalized complex space forms using semisymmetric metric connections and discuss the equality case of the inequality. Further, we discuss non-existence of such minimal immersion. We also provide various applications of the obtained inequalities.

  • Recently, Chen studied warped products which are CR-submanifolds in Kaehler manifolds and established general sharp inequalities for CR-warped products in Kaehler manifolds. In the present paper, we obtain sharp estimates for the squared norm of the second fundamental form (an extrinsic invariant) in terms of the warping function for contact CR-warped products isometrically immersed in Kenmotsu space forms. The equality case is considered. Some applications are derived.

  • In 1973, B. Y. Chen and K. Yano introduced the special conformally flat space for the generalization of a subprojective space. The typical example is a canal hypersurface of a Euclidean space. In this paper, we study the conditions for the base space B to be special conformally flat in the conharmonically flat warped product space $B^n{\times}_fR^1$. Moreover, we study the special conformally flat warped product space $B^n{\times}_fF^p$ and characterize the geometric structure of $B^n{\times}_fF^p$.

GENERALIZED m-QUASI-EINSTEIN STRUCTURE IN ALMOST KENMOTSU MANIFOLDS

  • The goal of this paper is to analyze the generalized m-quasi-Einstein structure in the context of almost Kenmotsu manifolds. Firstly we showed that a complete Kenmotsu manifold admitting a generalized m-quasi-Einstein structure (g, f, m, λ) is locally isometric to a hyperbolic space ℍ2n+1(-1) or a warped product ${\tilde{M}}{\times}{_{\gamma}{\mathbb{R}}$ under certain conditions. Next, we proved that a (κ, µ)'-almost Kenmotsu manifold with h' ≠ 0 admitting a closed generalized m-quasi-Einstein metric is locally isometric to some warped product spaces. Finally, a generalized m-quasi-Einstein metric (g, f, m, λ) in almost Kenmotsu 3-H-manifold is considered and proved that either it is locally isometric to the hyperbolic space ℍ3(-1) or the Riemannian product ℍ2(-4) × ℝ.

  • In this paper, we obtain the criteria that the Riemannian manifold B is Einstein or a gradient Ricci soliton from the information of the second derivative of $f$ in the warped product space $R{\times}_fB$ with gradient Ricci solitons. Moreover, we construct new examples of non-Einstein gradient Ricci soliton spaces with an Einstein or non-Einstein gradient Ricci soliton leaf using our main theorems. Finally we also get analogous criteria for the Lorentzian version.

  • We study pseudo symmetric (briefly $(PS)_n$) and pseudo Ricci symmetric (briefly $(PRS)_n$) warped product manifolds $M{\times}_FN$. If M is $(PS)_n$, then we give a condition on the warping function that M is a pseudosymmetric space and N is a space of constant curvature. If M is $(PRS)_n$, then we show that (i) N is Ricci symmetric and (ii) M is $(PRS)_n$ if and only if the tensor T defined by (2.6) satisfies a certain condition.

  • We study Riemannian or pseudo-Riemannian manifolds which admit a closed conformal vector field. Subject to the condition that at each point $p{\in}M^n$ the set of conformal gradient vector fields spans a non-degenerate subspace of TpM, using a warped product structure theorem we give a complete description of the space of conformal vector fields on arbitrary non-Ricci flat Einstein spaces.
