This study examined the evaluation of Mongolian cashmere products by foreign tourists visiting Mongolia, purchase motivation, and purchase intention by nationality as well as analyzed factors that affected purchase intentions. Questionnaires were distributed in Ulaanbaatar from July $25^{th}$ to September $3^{rd}$, 2012. We collected 626 questionnaires and used 616 copies in the final analysis (149 from Koreans, 128 from Japanese, 119 from Russians and 220 from English-speaking countries). Awareness about Mongolian cashmere products and purchase intentions differed significantly by nationality. Purchase motivations were divided into 3 factors-usefulness, mood shift, gifts and souvenir. Evaluation of cashmere products consisted of 5 factors-product excellence, uniqueness, ostentation, economic value and fashionableness. Purchase motivation and evaluation differed significantly by nationality. Purchase intention was significantly related to awareness prior to visit, product excellence, usefulness, gift/souvenir motivation factors, and nationality.
With the exhibition materials and exhibition spaces are provided, it is the reaction of the visitors that completes the function of science museum. To satisfy the visitors, it is necessary to understand their needs, interests, and motives, apart from the physical environment of the museum. The purpose of this research is to verify the effect of children's personal characteristics on the satisfaction in science museum. In doing so, an interview survey was conducted: 210 primary and middle school students who had finished the exhibition tour were randomly selected and interviewed. The data was analysed by a T-test and an one-way ANOVA to find out the correlation. The results of analysis are as follows: First, a meaningful statistical differences are found by the age groups in terms of motivation, expectation, satisfaction, enjoyment, and total staying time at the museum. The lower the grade, students are satisfied with their everyday living; and this is reflected on their intrinsic motivations and higher expectations on visit. Also, their actual satisfaction and enjoyment are higher and they stay at the museum longer than the other group. Second, the group with intrinsic motivation and higher expectation is more satisfied with the contents of the exhibition than the group with extrinsic motivation. Third, the level of higher education of mothers, rather than that of fathers had mere effect on the learning of the children at the museum. Also, the children who are brought up by full-time house wives have bigger achievement of learning from the exhibition than those with working mothers.
This study aims to provide managerial implications for provincial parks through an analysis on visitors' characteristics and motivational factors. The information was collected by surveying 290 visitors. The survey questionnaire consisted of questions regarding visitors' socioeconomic characteristics, characteristics of their travel behavior, visitors' motivation to visit the park, and the degree of satisfaction derived from visiting the park. Results show that most respondents appeared not to collect any information on the park prior to their visit. It was also seen that most visitors do not visit other tourist sites nearby, and are not aware of the Gochang UNESCO biosphere, which indicates that Gochang-gun, which is responsible for park management, needs to make more efforts to promote the park. A factor analysis on the visitors' motivation to visit the park extracted three factors to visit the Seonunsan Provincial Park: 'to hike,' 'to experience and observe nature,' i.e., nature learning field trip and camping, and 'to build and nurture bonding with family and friends.' To examine the effect of these various motivational factors had on the visitors' satisfaction level upon visiting the park, we conducted a multiple regression analysis with the three extracted factors to visit the park and the respondents' socioeconomic characteristics as independent variables, and the degree of recommendation of visiting the park as a dependent variable. The result shows found that, of the three travel factors, only the 'hiking' factor statistically significantly affected the degree of recommendation of visiting the park. This result suggests that the Seonunsan Provincial Park only satisfied hikers and failed to meet the demands for nature experience and observation. It is therefore suggested that the park managers develop new experience-based tourism programs, such as guided tours conducted by professional eco-interpreters.
This study examined at an exploratory level what should be considered for developing underdeveloped areas using local cultural resources. This study analyzed the psychological and behavioral differences between those who have visited underdeveloped areas developed using local cultural resources and those who haven't, to draw out the implications for the urban regeneration. The results showed that there were differences in respondents' motivation to visit, perception of what needs to be done for the tourism development of underdeveloped areas, perception of the expected effects of developing cultural contents, and consumption behaviors. In other words, those who have visited the tourist sites where had been underdeveloped areas have a more positive attitude toward visit motivations, needs for tourist site development, expected effects of local cultural content development, and consumption behaviors than those who haven't. It means that it is of the utmost importance to induce as many people as possible into tourist sites in underdeveloped areas. This exploratory study is expected to offer some implications for developing underdeveloped areas as tourist sites, a form of urban regeneration.
This research was conducted over four weeks from January 1, 2016 until May 30. Data was collected from self-adminstered questionnaires of dwontwon Seoul franchise restaurant customers. The data was subjected to regression analysis to analyze the impact of consumer motives on revisit intentioned. Results show that gourmet is B=0.553 (p<.001), convenient, B=0.093 (p<.05), social B=0.294 (p<.001), and showing off is B=0.085 (p<.01) consumer goods all have a significant positive influence on revisit intention. Second, a significant moderating effect of web based rumores on the relationship between consumer and franchise restaurants motives and re-visit, 0.683, F=116.279 (p<.001). The two-level models add additional explanatory power increase due to a consumer culture is 2.9% and F=26.791 (p<.001) to 'revisit' emerged as significant. The purpose of this research is to investigate young consumer motivation in regards to shopping mall. Young adults are an emerging age group that has economic autonomy and power of making independent decisions. In addition, this young segment providing an interesting challenges and opportunities for marketing professionals. Therefore, it is pertinent to analyse their shopping motivations, so that the marketers can understand and influence the consumption behaviour of this specific group. A survey using self-administered questionnaire was conducted to assess the mall-directed shopping habits and shopping orientations. A total of 164 usable surveys were obtained. In addition of exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling was applied to prove the hypotheses. We have found that young Australian shoppers were motivated to visit malls primarily by the role enactment and exploration dimensions. They were the strongest motivators which explaining why young Australian consumers patronize malls. Young consumers of Australia enjoyed the mall environment, exploring new things, socializing with friends, comparing prices and the variety of products and services offered. The results of our study have several implications that should be of benefit to the retailing industry and mall management. Developers of malls must develop their mall more than simply a place for buying products. As such, mall management should make sure that their mall atmospherics offer a mall environment that is pleasing to multiple senses, to ensure it is conducive for shoppers to stay and spend more of their time and money. Mall management must execute strategies to maintain their attraction to younger consumers, perhaps by including stores that are futuristic and offer the most advanced styles or technologies, and appeal to somewhat older adults by offering the tenant, entertainment, and experience mix they will prefer. It is recommended that future research utilize random sampling methods to ensure the generalizability of results.
Understanding of the reasons why users in recreation settings select particular trails may provide useful information for effective recreation resources management. This study investigated the present use of the major trails in Mudeung-san Provincial Park and the major influential factors on trail selection. This study was conducted in Mudeung-san Provincial Park stretching over Hwasun-gun and Damyang-gun of Chonnam Province and Kwang-ju city during August in 1996. Data were collected through on-site survey and mail-back questionnaire. 519(44.2%) out of 1173 survey samples were used for analysis. Reasons for selecting a particular trail were classified into 8 major factors. In overall, the order of the importance degree of the factors was 1) aesthetics of landscape, 2) safety(from physical and crime), 3) conditions for health, 4) quietness, 5) familiarity, 6) on the way to the destination, 7) convenience/social, 8) others' intention. There were differences in the degree of importance of each factor depending on trails, users' characteristics(eg., gender, age, group size, visit experience, etc.) and users' behavioral patterns. Recreation motivations were classified into 5 major factors. The order of the importance degree of the factors was 1) contacting with nature, 2) self-training, 3) solitude, 4) social interaction, 5) appreciating cultural properties. Regardless of trails, 'contacting with nature' was the most important factor, and the degree of importance in the other 4 motivational factors showed only a little differences in order according to the trails. There were correlations between major factors for trail selection and recreation motivations. The results of this study may provide foundational information for establishing effective management strategies through better understanding of the present use of trails and influential factors on trail selection. It can be used for reducing the present social and ecological problems caused by use concentration on certain trails and providing users with better quality of diverse recreational experiences. This study discussed the findings, and suggested some management strategies based on these information.
This study was intended to analyze the visitors' awareness of the cultural asset value of Marsh Plants of Daesong-ri, Haman (Natural Monument 346) as well as the requirement for use and management of the only marsh designated as a National Monument in order to provide the implication for future management. The result of the analysis showed that the public awareness and the awareness level of the natural monuments were low and that the motivations for visiting were the experience and education of nature, rest and leisure, and experience of the cultural heritage, in that order. The analysis of motivation for visiting according to the awareness level showed that the group with a high awareness level of the Marsh Plants or the group that thought highly of its cultural asset value tended to visit it more for the experience of nature or the experience of the cultural heritage than for simple resting. For usage, the visitors required the basic amenities such as guide board and the more active promotion. They also preferred the discovery of traditional resources using the marsh plants and the experience of nature. Both local residents and outside visitors pointed out the lack of systematic management policy and lack of communication with local residents as the main problems. They recognized that the policy that balanced the preservation and usage through the cooperation of various stakeholder including local residents must be established and applied in the field to ensure proper management.

The purpose of this study was to investigate parental knowledge and attitude and practices relating to infant oral health care and to promote their motivations to their children's oral health care. Authors interviewed 350 persons in Ilwon-Dong and whose children were between 0 to 36 months old and acquired questionnaire from them. The questionnaire constituted of questions about general knowledge of tooth eruption, methods of oral hygiene care, and opinions about preventive dental visit. The collected data were analysed and compared with other researches. The important results obtained from this study were : 1. Females and highly educated persons had more dental knowledge than males and poorly educated persons. But age and economic status did not affect their level of dental knowledge. 2. Fifty nine percents of respondents thought that tooth began to be formed before birth. 3. Seventy six percents of respondents thought that infant oral health care should begin before tooth eruption, but actually only 63% started oral hygiene care before age one. 4. Seventy percents of respondents used gauze for infant oral care. 5. Fifty seven percents of respondents still gave bottles to their children after they reached age one or more and 55% of respondents never heard of nursing caries. 6. Ninety percents of respondents agreed that carious deciduous teeth need restorations, and 31% of respondents thought that age two is the appropriate time for the first dental visit. 7. Forty seven percents of parents did not think that dental caries is an infectious disease. 8. Only Thirty three percents of parents visited dental clinics for examination and prevention during pregnancy and only 11% of expecting parents were offered dental health care education in pediatric or obstetrician clincs. 9. Information about oral health care was mostly given from baby megazines. 10. Overall parental knowledge about infant oral health care was not sufficient to maintain appropriate dental care for infants.
