Value collision takes place in the news organization at times. The concept of social responsibility has been serving as the raison d'$\hat{e}$tre not just of individual reporters but eventually of journalism in general. But when the organizational interests are at stake, more realistic values contributing to the organization often override the normative values. This phenomenon occurs since there exists a clear discrepancy between the nominally highlighted values and the virtual values of press owner or news organization. Focusing on Chosun Ilbo, this paper tries to identify the values a news organization really underlines and pursues, and explores the nature of organizational culture embedded in these values. In specific, this study analyzes such performances as ceremonies and rituals, regular or occasional, in Chosun Ilbo, since these are cultural practices which produce and circulate particular meanings and values forming the basis of organizational culture. According to this study, 'strong unity' is the core value which the owner family in Chosun Ilbo has ever been spotlighting. As long as the strong unity is stressed, the role playing as members of news organization for its interest is more highly regarded than carrying out the normative missions given unto the journalists in general.
This study is to think a new arena of collective play culture at the university campus festival for digital generation used to be individually consuming play in cyberspace. While cyberia is virtual cultural space by providing gigantic platforms in which producers and consumers meet, this space has characterized as individuality and disembodiment, that is why recalling the collective play culture at the off-line. This article is to examine the characteristics and meaning of the recent campus festivals during the history of Korean college festivals, and to analyze proposals of play-contents applied by various theories. The 2016-7' proposals include several kind of board game and experimental theatre sublimed philosophical reflection, which shows a kind of attempt to escape from the cultural industrial logic, however they are characterized by Ilinx(drinking culture) and Alea(board game) emphasized more than Agon, and Mimicry combined with paidia rule strongly. Under the neoliberalism, college students' gloomy reality is represented emasculating of the structure of competitions in the context of an unreal world and Mimicry of experience stay in front of the limen before entering the embodiment.

The purpose of this study is to study the possibilities and limitations of arts education by utilizing SKT's ifland metaverse Platform for arts majors. To summarize the performance of the study, it is as follows. The subjects of the study were 50 students(25 experimental group, 25 control group) in Performing Arts, Entertainment and Music department of D University located at Gyeonggi, Korea. As a result of analyzing the difference between the pre-test and the post-test between the experimental group and the control group, it was found that there was a statistically significant effect on the effectiveness of the arts education method using the metaverse of the control group. It is hoped that the results of this study will be a case study that cannot be overlooked in the development of the today's arts educational medium as well as the virtual world in the field of arts and in cultural technology research, arts education is no longer a latecomer, but a leading pioneer and main agent, and I hope that it will become a new perspective for various studies connected with industry like the WAVE.
Metaverse is gaining worldwide interest, and related industries are developing rapidly. In the field of education, students' interest in metaverse is increasing, and education on metaverse-related technologies and services is required. However, since metaverse classes in universities mainly consist of theoretical education and domestic/overseas case analysis education, practical education that can apply metaverse technology to the real world is also necessary. In the cultural field, event contents such as entrance ceremonies and exhibitions are mainly produced for metaverse contents, and it is also necessary to study metaverse contents that can be sustained for a long time by people visiting regularly. In this study, educational contents that can link cultural participation in the real world with cultural participation in the metaverse were studied using the local cultural space as a medium to produce sustainable metaverse contents. The 'Metaverse Moonshin Art Museum commemorating the 100th anniversary of Moonshin's birth' program reinterpreted the real world of Changwon Moonshin Art Museum into a virtual world by collaborating with students on the Roblox. The 'Expanded Reality Moonshin Art Museum' program created an expanded Metaverse art museum that transcends time by augmenting the deceased Moonshin artist in the museum's exhibition space using HoloLens. For students studying culture-related majors, an educational program that combines metaverse education and practical training was conducted, and it is planned to be supplemented and used as a teaching plan.
This study was conducted to examining the socio-cultural impact of the COVID-19 pandemic that swept the world around 2020, and the transformation of norms and social problems due to COVID-19. For this, the characteristics of changes in the socio-cultural norms of the 14th century European Black Death, a representative example of the pandemic, were derived, and based on this, the COVID-19 pandemic was analyzed. The Black Death served as an opportunity to change social norms based on the existing religious authority and the power of the feudal system to the Enlightenment. The population declination and labor shortage also promoted commercialization and mechanization. Printing, which spread during this period, led to the popularization of knowledge, which raised the level of thinking and led to epochal scientific development. This became the foundation of the Industrial Revolution. Like the recent Black Death, COVID-19 has triggered changes in social norms. The technological environment of metaverse, a mixture of virtual and reality, has changed the norm of a consistent identity into free and open identities exerting various potentials through alternate characters. In addition, meme, which are about people being friendly to those with the same worldview as him on the metaverse, weakened the sense of isolation in non-face-to-face situations. Artificial intelligence (AI), which developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, has entered the stage of being used for creative activities beyond the function of assisting humans. Discussions were held on what new social problems would be created by the social norms changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This paper will investigate how animated practice can be a research form as practice-led research in an ethnography approach. This practice-led research will explore the issue of the construction of contemporary identities (based on the strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde) and in particular, the Korean youth culture and identity, exemplified, for example, creation of 'avatars' in the virtual characters of animated online games such as Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Games (MMORPGs). In this proposed discussion, I will argue that the sudden period of change in contemporary Korea bears some resemblance to the Victorian era as explored in gothic fiction (e.g. Jekyll and Hyde). In this sense, my animation investigates the connection between the fictional Jekyll and Hyde and a real murder incident by a young Korean boy, which actually happened on the 16th November 2010, in SouthKorea.I will, therefore, construct this practice-led research to obtain the primary data consisted of online and offline practices in 'social ethnography'. These practices engage with specific Korean youth identity, comparing the 'avatar' with the real lives of participants. However, this paper will only focus on the (ethnographic) research process and strategy, using animated (visual) practices, rather than giving the meaning of the specific case of 'Korean-ness'. Eventually, I will explore the four different animated representations as it presents the distinctive animated realties or documentaries by online and offline practices. My intention is to visually interpret the issue of 'Korean-ness' within its socio-cultural context, adapting the convention and code of Jekyll and Hyde concept into an animated documentary in the 'virtual' world (auto-animated documentary by recording avatar interviews and online game footages) and the 'real' world (self-created animated documentary, based on real people and events).

We can get to the conclusion that the audience neither sees nor hears anything, but they just can experience many interesting things which characterize the present age. The purpose of this research is to help you to understand current design philosophy and the direction of media while considering both a positive social phenomenon about the new design paradigm of information and media, as well as critical thinking about it.
360 VR technology is used not only in movies, but also in performing arts such as music, theater, dance, and so on due to the characteristics of immersion and presence. The technology allows the audience can be perceived a feel of participation in a story. This study is conducted an analysis of the techniques of 360 video shooting in order to find the answers of the following questionaries: how to make viewers enhance to a better understanding of a space, how to make the viewer feel comfortable ceding control of the experience, how to generate greater empathy with a 360 video. Thirty cases were analysed 360-degree videos of live performances performed on stage among 360-degree images of music performance content shared on Youtube from 2015 to 2020. The result shows that live performances are performed with the audience, so the stage shape and the layout of the audience seats are preferred to the characteristics of the performance. It was also shown that directing using a 360 VR camera was also greatly affected by the stage and audience placement. The stage is manly classified into three types, and the camera layout and characteristics mainly used are organized according to the number of 360 VR cameras, whether fixed or mobile cameras are used.
Cartoons and consequently animation are an effective way of visualizing futuristic scenarios. Here we look at how animation is becoming ubiquitous and an integral part of this future today: the cybernetic and mediated society that we are being transformed into. Animation therefore becomes a form of speech between humans and this networked reality, either as an interface or as representation that gives temporal form to objects. Animation or specifically animated films usually are associated with character based short and feature films, fiction or nonfiction. However animation is not constricted to traditional cinematic formats and language, the same way that design and communication have become treated as separate fields, however according to $Vil{\acute{e}}m$ Flusser they aren't. The same premise can be applied to animation in a networked culture: Animation has become an intrinsic to design processes and products - as in motion graphics, interface design and three-dimensional visualization. Video-games, virtual reality, map based apps and social networks constitute layers of an expanded universe that embodies our network based culture. They are products of design and media disciplines that are increasingly relying on animation as a universal language suited to multi-cultural interactions carried in digital ambients. In this sense animation becomes a discourse, the same way as Roland Barthes describes myth as a type of speech. With the objective of exploring the role of animation as a design tool, the proposed research intends to develop transmedia creative visual strategies using animation both as narrative and as an user interface.
Space design in the 21st century has been developed in connection with media more various than ever. In the age of image represented by popular culture, space design connected with media is based on post-reason thoughts constituting the post-modern society, and reflects polysemously and pluralistically changes in the society through the identification of art with life. The movie, which is an image perceived particularly sensibly and the most impractical simulated image among various illusionary media images composing the contemporary society, is growing rapidly in interrelation with various fields of art based on its peculiar nature, and its influence is getting more extensive. The movie manipulates mass society to create what does not exist and restore lost images into new realities through the reproduction of extremely realistic senses, and uses them in establishing virtual realities and creating illusionary images representing the age of simularc. The illusionary expression of the movie produces new meanings through disintegrating existing meanings and recombining them, and expresses popular culture from a position closest to our everyday life. Such an analytical attitude toward the illusionary movie reflecting our society can be a new approach to space design. The present study attempts to suggest the possibility of applying such an illusionary characteristic of the movie as a methodology of space design by utilizing the characteristic as a conceptual language of space design.
