  • A class of topological algebras, which we call it a fundamental one, has already been introduced generalizing the famous Cohen factorization theorem to more general topological algebras. To prove the generalized versions of Cohen's theorem to locally multilplicatively convex algebras, and finally to fundamental topological algebras, the completness of the background spaces is one of the main conditions. The local convexity of the completion of a locally convex space is a well known fact and here we have a discussion on the completness of fundamental metrizable topological vector spaces.

  • In this paper we study fractional Sobolev spaces characterized by a norm based on eigenfunction expansions. The goal of this paper is twofold. The first one is to define fractional Sobolev spaces of order -1 ≤ s ≤ 2 equipped with a norm defined in terms of Neumann eigenfunction expansions. Due to the zero Neumann trace of Neumann eigenfunctions on a boundary, fractional Sobolev spaces of order 3/2 ≤ s ≤ 2 characterized by the norm are the spaces of functions with zero Neumann trace on a boundary. The spaces equipped with the norm are useful for studying cross-sectional traces of solutions to the Helmholtz equation in waveguides with a homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. The second one is to define fractional Sobolev spaces of order -1 ≤ s ≤ 1 for vector-valued functions in a simply-connected, bounded and smooth domain in ℝ2. These spaces are defined by a norm based on series expansions in terms of eigenfunctions of the vector Laplacian with boundary conditions of zero tangential component or zero normal component. The spaces defined by the norm are important for analyzing cross-sectional traces of time-harmonic electromagnetic fields in perfectly conducting waveguides.

  • A.H.Hamel proved the Ekeland's principle in a locally convex Hausdorff topological vector spaces by constructing the norm and applying the Ekeland's principle in Banach spaces. In this paper we show that the Ekeland's principle in a locally convex Hausdorff topological vector spaces can be proved directly by applying the famous general principle of H.Br$\acute{e}$zis and F.E.Browder.

  • In this paper, we introduce asymptotically quasi-$f-g$-nonexpansive mappings in convex normed vector spaces and consider approximating common fixed points of a sequence of asymptotically quasi-$f-g$-nonexpansive mappings in convex normed vector spaces.

  • We characterize operators between Banach spaces sending unconditionally weakly p-summable sequences into sequences that lie in the range of a vector measure of bounded variation. Further, we describe operators between Banach spaces taking unconditionally weakly p-summable sequences into sequences that lie in the range of a vector measure.

  • Recently, Giannessi [9] firstly introduced the vector-valued variational inequalities in a real Euclidean space. Later Chen et al. [5] intensively discussed vector-valued variational inequalities and vector-valued quasi variationl inequalities in Banach spaces. They [4-8] proved some existence theorems for the solutions of vector-valued variational inequalities and vector-valued quasi-variational inequalities. Lee et al. [14] established the existence theorem for the solutions of vector-valued variational inequalities for multifunctions in reflexive Banach spaces.
