가치 연구의 동향 분석: 수학적 가치와 수학 교육적 가치를 중심으로 (An analysis of the trends of value research : Focused on mathematical values and mathematics educational values)

  • 최근 국제 수학교육에서 가치(values)를 다루는 프로젝트나 연구물이 증가하고 있으나 우리나라에서는 소개된 것이 많지 않다. 본 연구에서는 Bishop(1996)의 '수학적 가치'와 '수학 교육적 가치'를 중심으로 체계적인 문헌 검토를 통하여 최종 66편의 논문을 선정하였고 연구시기, 프로젝트, 분석 대상, 연구 방법을 기준으로 연구 동향을 제시하였다.

POSITIVE SOLUTIONS OF NONLINEAR ELLIPTIC SINGULAR BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS IN A BALL

  • This paper deals with existence of positive solutions of nonlinear elliptic singular boundary value problems in a ball. It is shown that results of Grandall et al. [1] and [2] follow as special cases of our results proved in this article.

Effect of coding integrated mathematics program on affective mathematics engagement

  • The integration of coding and mathematics education, known as coding-integrated mathematics education, has received much attention due to the strength of Artificial Intelligence-based Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (AI-based STEAM) education in improving students' affective domain. The present study investigated the effectiveness of coding-integrated mathematics education on students' development of affective mathematics engagement. Participants in this study were 86 middle and high school students who attended the coding-integrated mathematics program. Surveys of students' affective mathematics engagement were administered before and after the intervention period. The results showed that students' affective mathematics engagement was statistically significantly improved through coding-integrated mathematics education. In particular, students exhibited increased positive affective mathematics engagement in terms of mathematical attitude, emotion, and value. These findings indicate the positive influence of coding-integrated mathematics education on students' learning in mathematics.

  • In this paper, we study boundary value problems for fractional integrodifferential equations involving Caputo derivative in Banach spaces. A generalized singular type Gronwall inequality is given to obtain an important priori bounds. Some sufficient conditions for the existence solutions are established by virtue of fractional calculus and fixed point method under some mild conditions.

  • The notions of (${\in}$, ${\in}{\vee}q$)-permeable S-value and (${\in}$, ${\in}{\vee}q$)-permeable I-value are introduced, and related properties are investigated. Relations among (${\in}$, ${\in}{\vee}q$)-fuzzy subalgebra, (${\in}$, ${\in}{\vee}q$)-fuzzy ideal, (strong) lower and (strong) upper level sets, (${\in}$, ${\in}{\vee}q$)-permeable S-value, (${\in}$, ${\in}{\vee}q$)-permeable I-value, S-energetic set, I-energetic set, right stable set and right vanished set are discussed.

  • Character education is an important educational purpose in the current situation of secondary mathematics education. In the current mathematics curriculum, character education is mentioned in terms of core competencies. However, it is very difficult to concretely practice character education in secondary mathematics education. This paper examines the theoretical background of character education in the tradition of mathematics education, and suggests that mathematics is regarded as a practical tradition by the nature of mathematics from a value-intrinsic perspective. In this respect, mathematics education is defined as an intrinsic and nurturing character through long history of practice. This paper searched for an integrated approach to practicing character education in of secondary mathematics education, and argued that the teacher's personal approach including the class model approach of the human factors by an example of the exponential law aman = am+n and the value-oriented activities according to the nature of the mathematics was the core.

  • In this paper, we obtain the existence of positive solutions for a quasi-linear four-point boundary value problem of higher-order differential equation. By using the fixed point index theorem and imposing some conditions on f, the existence of positive solutions to a higher-order four-point boundary value problem with a p-Laplacian is obtained.
