A school uniform leads students to good behavior and have them enjoy desirable school life. We analyse the students' view through questionnaire. We asked 544 students questions about the degree of satisfaction on color, design and style of their uniforms. By analyzing the result of the questionnaire, we found the style of the uniform that students preferred. In this study, we suggest some useful information which is necessary to develop new uniform based on utility and creative aesthetic sense. The questionnaire using this research grounded on the questionnaire of the previous study and the subject selected the random samples out of girls' high school student in Deagu·Kyungbuk Area. The result analysis was peformed by SPSS, one of the statistical analysis method.

This study examines if the uniform-related perceptions influence the formation of professional identity. A self-administered survey was conducted on 346 female nursing officers at military hospitals. The independent variables were the basic characteristics, perception of clothing benefit, perception of nursing uniform, and perception of the officer uniform. For the data analysis, we used paired t-test and hierarchical regression analysis. Using a paired t-test, we found the difference in function and satisfaction between nursing uniforms and officer uniforms. The result of hierarchical regression analysis shows that uniform-related perceptions were statistically significant in predicting professional identity. The nursing uniform explained the major portion of variation of professional identity; subsequently, the improvement of uniforms can enhance professional identity.

Lempel-Ziv coding is one of the most famous source coding schemes. The output of this source coding is usually a non-uniform code, which requires additional source coding, such as arithmetic coding, to reduce a redundancy. However, this additional source code increases complexity and decoding latency. Thus, this paper proposes the optimal maximum a-posteriori (MAP) receiver for non-uniform source non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) with symmetric superposition coding (SSC). First, we derive an analytical expression of the bit-error rate (BER) for non-uniform source NOMA with SSC. Then, Monte Carlo simulations demonstrate that the BER of the optimal MAP receiver for the non-uniform source improves slightly, compared to that of the conventional receiver for the uniform source. Moreover, we also show that the BER of an approximate analytical expression is in a good agreement with the BER of Monte Carlo simulation. As a result, the proposed optimal MAP receiver for non-uniform source could be a promising scheme for NOMA with SSC, to reduce complexity and decoding latency due to additional source coding.

We introduce a concept of continuous homomorphisms between Csaszar frames and show that the Cauchy completion in CsFrm gives rise to a coreflection in the category PCsFrm (resp. UCsFrm) consisting of proximal Csaszar frames and uniform continuous homomor-phisms (resp. uniform Csaszar frames and uniform continuous homomor-phisms).

We shall propose several estimators and confidence intervals for the scale parameter in a uniform distribution with the presence of a generalized uniform outlier and obtain mean squared errors(MSE) for their proposed estimators. And we shall compare numerical MSE's for the proposed several estimators of the scale parameter. Also we shall compare numerically expected lengths of confidence intervals of the scale parameter in a uniform distribution with the presence of a generalized uniform outlier.

Thomas Bayes assumed uniform prior for the location $\theta$ of a billiard ball W in his historic 1764 paper. In this study, following mathematical derivation of the uniform distribution from several assumptions that are plausible on te billiard table, it is argued that the probabilistic meaning of Bayes' uniform prior (especially in Billiard Problem) is not just sujective but logical.

In this paper, we shall derive MLE's, modified MLE, MRE and UMVUE's of the shape and scale parameters in a generalized uniform distribution, and propose several estimators for the right-tail probability in a generalized uniform distribution using the proposed estimators for the shape and scale parameters. And we shall compare exactly MSE of the proposed estimators for the shape and the scale parameters, and compare numerically efficiencies for the several proposed estimators of the right-tail probability in a generalized uniform distribution by Monte Caslo methods.

Block filter implementation technique for uniform filter banks is uniform in this paper. By applying block filter into decimation and interpolation filters, it is shown that down and up samplers are cancelled out in respective liters. Furthermore by applying block filters into uniform filter banks, significant reduction for computational complexity is achieved since prototype filter can be shared in each channel implementation. Also, it is shown that proposed implementation is a reconfigurable structure in terms of order variation.
