  • The PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) fibers were prepared using the wet spinning processing. To improve ${\beta}$-phase crystalline which closely related piezoelectric property PVDF wet spun fibers conducted post treatment. Post treatment is consisted of heat stretching and annealing process. The heat stretching and annealing conditions were controlled by changing temperature between glass transition temperature and melting temperature. From these experimental data, the resulting crystal structure of the ${\beta}$-phase crystalline was confirmed by FT-IR and XRD experiments. From these analysis results, optimum stretching and annealing conditions of the wet spun PVDF fibers were founded to increase high ${\beta}$-phase crystalline. Furthermore results showed that thermal processing had a direct effect on modifying the crystalline microstructure and also confirmed that heat stretching and annealing could increase the degree of crystallinity and ${\beta}$-phase crystalline. Finally, piezoelectric constant ($d_{11}$) of the post heat treated PVDF fibers reinforced composite were measured to investigate the feasibility for the sensing materials.

  • In this paper, our central focus is upon gamma and beta q-distributions from a probabilistic viewpoint. The gamma and the beta q-distributions are characterized by investing the nature of the joint q-probability density function through the q-independence property and the q-Laplace transform.

  • Goat milk has a protein composition similar to that of breast milk and contains abundant nutrients, but its use in functional foods is rather limited in comparison to milk from other sources. The aim of this study was to prepare a goat A2 ${\beta}$-casein fraction with improved digestibility and hypoallergenic properties. We investigated the optimal conditions for the separation of A2 ${\beta}$-casein fraction from goat milk by pH adjustment to pH 4.4 and treating the casein suspension with calcium chloride (0.05 M for 1 h at $25^{\circ}C$). Selective reduction of ${\beta}$- lactoglobulin and ${\alpha}_s$-casein was confirmed using sodium dodecyl sulphate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography. The hypoallergenic property of A2 ${\beta}$-casein fraction was examined by measuring the release of histamine and tumor necrosis factor alpha from HMC-1 human mast cells exposed to different proteins, including A2 ${\beta}$-casein fraction. There was no significant difference in levels of both indicators between A2 ${\beta}$-casein treatment and the control (no protein treatment). The A2 ${\beta}$-casein fraction is abundant in essential amino acids, especially, branched-chain amino acids (leucine, valine, and isoleucine). The physicochemical properties of A2 ${\beta}$-casein fraction, including protein solubility and viscosity, are similar to those of bovine whole casein which is widely used as a protein source in various foods. Therefore, the goat A2 ${\beta}$-casein fraction may be useful as a food material with good digestibility and hypoallergenic properties for infants, the elderly, and people with metabolic disorders.

  • We show that if X is a space such that ${\beta}QF(X)=QF({\beta}X)$ and each stable $Z(X)^{\sharp}$-ultrafilter has the countable intersection property, then there is a homeomorphism $h_X:vQF(X){\rightarrow}QF(vX)$ with $r_X={\Phi}_{vX}{\circ}h_X$. Moreover, if ${\beta}QF(X)=QF({\beta}X)$ and $vE(X)=E(vX)$ or $v{\Lambda}(X)={\Lambda}(vX)$, then $vQF(X)=QF(vX)$.

  • J. Wang [21] proposed a problem: whether the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of Jensen's equation for the case p, q, r, s $\in$ ($\beta$, $\frac{1}{\beta}$) \ {1} holds or not under the assumption that G and E are $\beta$-homogeneous Fspace (0 < $\beta\;\leq$ 1). The main purpose of this paper is to give an answer to Wang's problem. Furthermore, we proved that the stability property of Jensen's equation is not true as long as p or q is equal to $\beta$, $\frac{1}{\beta}$, or $\frac{\beta_2}{\beta_1}$ (0 < $\beta_1,\beta_2\leq$ 1).

  • Plentiful amount of spent yeast has been produced as a by-product from breweries. ${\beta}-Glucan$ was prepared from the spent brewer's yeast in a crude form with hot water extraction and subsequent enzymatic treatment. The crude ${\beta}-glucan$ preparation consisted of mainly glucan (53% of total wt), containing approximately 35% ${\beta}-glucan$ content of total weight. The effects of crude ${\beta}-glucan$ substitution (1-9%) on pasting properties of wheat flour and starch were determined using a Rapid Visco-Analyzer (RVA). Incorporation of yeast ${\beta}-glucan$ into wheat flour and starch significantly decreased peak and [mal viscosities, but slightly increased setback viscosity. The setback viscosity was considerably higher in starch/${\beta}-glucan$ suspension than in flour/${\beta}-glucan$ suspension. It was suggested that preparation of yeast ${\beta}-glucan$ into aqueous dispersion might affect pasting behaviors of wheat flour and starch.

  • It is well known that if the ${\beta}$-expansion of any nonnegative integer is finite, then ${\beta}$ is a Pisot or Salem number. We prove here that $\mathbb{F}_q((x^{-1}))$, the ${\beta}$-expansion of the polynomial part of ${\beta}$ is finite if and only if ${\beta}$ is a Pisot series. Consequently we give an other proof of Scheiche theorem about finiteness property in $\mathbb{F}_q((x^{-1}))$. Finally we show that if the base ${\beta}$ is a Pisot series, then there is a bound of the length of the fractional part of ${\beta}$-expansion of any polynomial P in $\mathbb{F}_q[x]$.

  • In this paper, we have introduced a new type of covering property ${\beta}^t_{({\omega}_r,s)}$-closedness, stronger than $P^t_{({\omega}_r,s)}$-closedness [3] in terms of (r, s)-β-open sets [9] and β-ωt-closures in bitopological spaces along with its several characterizations via filter bases and grills [15] and various properties. Further grill generalizations of ${\beta}^t_{({\omega}_r,s)}$-closedness (namely, ${\beta}^t_{({\omega}_r,s)}$-closedness modulo grill) and associated concepts have also been investigated.

  • The specimens which were prepared from $\alpha$-Si3N4 with additions of YAG(3Y2O3.5Al2O3)-10 wt% and various AlN contents were sintered in N2 atmosphere at 1$700^{\circ}C$ The effect of $\alpha$,$\beta$-solid solution contents and sintering time on mechanical properties were investigated. As the content of $\beta$-solid solution and sintering time increased the hardness is reduced but the hardness of specimen sintered over 10 hours is constant irrespective of sintering time. While the fracture toughness increased with increasing of $\beta$-solid solution and sintering time. The fracture toughness of specimen with 80% $\beta$-solid solution content increased from 3.89 to 6.66 MPam1/2 with sintering sintering up to 20 hours/ But the amount of increased fracture toughness of specimen with below 20% $\beta$-solid solution content is not significant.
