  • A large scale programmable controller is developed which adopts a multiprocessor structure. The developed programmable controller consists of the programmer, the system controller, and the input-output unit. The structure and characteristics of the system controller will be described. The PC has a special hardware scheme to solve the Boolean logic instructions of the sequence control programs. The multiprocessor structure and the special hardware enables, the real time operation and the high speed scanning which is prerequisite to the large scale, programmable controller even for many I/O points.

대형 공작기계용 칩 처리시스템 설계 및 커터 해석 (Analysis of Cutter and Design of Chip Processing System for Large Scale Machine Tool)

  • The demands of the large scale machine tools, for instance, such as planomiller, turning machine, boring machine, NC machine, have been gradually increased in recent years. As the performances of machine tools and/or cutting tools are advanced, it is possible to perform high-speed and high-precision cutting works. The effective treatment of wet chip, which is discharged from cutting works, becomes very important problems. Therefore, this study is forced on the design of large scale machine tools using CATIA V5R18 and analysis of cutter, which is considered as essential equipment in large scale machine tools, using MSC.Nastran & MSC.Patran. Especially, the relations between tolerated load of cutter, driving horse power and rpm of driving shaft in chip processing system are investigated through analysis. As the results, the reliability of design could be improved by evaluating simulated numerical values, it showed that tolerated loads of supported part and edged part of cutter are 87,000N and 14,450N, respectively.

  • 본 논문에서는 출력 궤환 제어기를 이용해 다항식 퍼지 대규모 시스템을 안정화하는 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해, 먼저, 대규모 시스템의 부분 시스템에 대해 퍼지 모델링을 한 후, 각각에 대해 출력 궤환 제어기를 설계하여 대규모 시스템을 안정화하는 방법을 제안한다. 이때, 다항식 Lyapunov 함수를 적용하면 다항식 퍼지 대규모 시스템의 안정화 조건은 제곱합 조건으로 주어지고, 이것은 MATLAB의 툴박스인 SOSTOOLS로 해석 가능하다. 이러한 과정을 거친 후에 얻어진 해에서 시스템을 안정화시키는 출력 궤환 제어기의 이득을 구할 수 있다. 마지막으로, 제안된 기법의 적합성을 검증하기 위해 시뮬레이션 예제가 주어진다.

  • 본 연구는 대형 이벤트가 발생하였을 때 신속하고 정확한 교통정책을 수립할 수 있도록 대형 이벤트 대응형 통합교통분석 시스템을 개발하는 데 목적이 있다. 교통분석 시스템 사례조사를 기초로 통합교통분석 시스템의 요건을 정의하고 개발방향을 수립하였다. 데이터 웨어하우스 (data warehouse) 구축을 위해 신속하고 정확한 교통정책 수립이 요구되는 대형 이벤트를 선정하고 데이터를 수집하였다. 수집된 대형 이벤트 데이터와 교통 데이터를 통합하여 데이터 웨어하우스와 주제별 데이터 마트 (data mart)를 구축하였다. 이용자가 적시에 의사결정을 할 수 있도록 비즈니스 인텔리전스(business intelligence) 시스템 화면을 설계하고 개발하였다.

  • A decentralised computational procedure is proposed for the optimal feedback gain matrix of large-scale discrete-time systems with time-delays. The constant feedback gain matrix is computed from the optimal state and input trajectries obtained hierarchically by the interaction prediction method. All the calculation in this approach are done off-line. The resulting gains are optimal for all the initial conditions. The interaction prediction method is applied to time-delay large-scale systems with general structures by extending the dimensions of coupling matices. A numerical exampie illustrates the algorithm.

General aspects of LSPIV are introduced and several applications are introduced in this paper. The difference of LSPIV from the conventional PIV techniques is not to use models for experiments but to use the flow fields in nature. For LSPIV a converting process for the captured images is necessary.

Precise measurements of distance using large scale structure formation

  • We introduce new methods to measure distance in precision using large scale structure formation. The accuracy to determine geometrical factors is enhanced in comparison to the previous method known as BAO. We determine both D_A and H simultaneously as well as structure of growth of density fluctuations and peculiar velocities. Our method is independent of any given prior on large scale structure formation such as the shape of spectra.

  • In this brief, the design method of robust non-fragile decentralized controllers for uncertain large-scale interconnected systems is proposed. Based on Lyapunov second method, a sufficient condition for asymtotic stability is derived in terms of a linear matrix inequality (LMI), and the measure of non-fragility in controller is presented. The solutions of the LMI can be easily obtained using efficient convex optimization techniques. A numerical example is given to illustrate the proposed method.

  • In this study, a parallel algorithm has been developed that can quickly solve the optiaml control problem of large-scale dynamic systems. The algorithm adopts the sequential quadratic programming methods and achieves domain decomposition-type parallelism in computing sensitivities for search direction computation. A silicon wafer thermal process problem has been solved using the algorithm, and a parallel efficiency of 45% has been achieved with 16 processors. Practical methods have also been investigated in this study as a way to further speed up the computation time.

  • A new sequential algorithm and computational results for large-scale linear programs with a special structure were presented in the previous paper [9]. In this paper, a parallel version of the algorithm was developed for a hypercube multiprocessor architecture NCUBE2. Computational results using 128 processors are presented for a randomly generated large-scale sparse or dense problems with the number of variables up to 256 and constraints up to 5 million.
