  • Contributions of global warming potentials on CFC(Chlorofluorocarbon) and Ozone were calculated by Stefan-Boltzmann's law and environmental effects of its were discussed. As the greenhouse effect on the unit volume of CFC is the most strong in the infrared gases and the destruction of Ozone in stratosphere is also depends on CFC, therefore release of CFC should be prohibited. But the effect of restriction on CFC will be appeared more than 10 years later. Eventhough the Ozone layer is related to global warming, It should be protected because of maitaining food chain mode of life, preventing human disease, for example, cataract, dermatics etc.

  • Toric variety is a normal algebraic variety containing algebraic torus $T_N$ as an open dense subset with an algebraic action of $T_N$ which is an extension of the group law of $T_N$. A toric variety can be described in terms of a certain collection, which is called a fan, of cones. From this fact, the properties of a toric variety have strong connection with the combinatorial structure of the corresponding fan and the relations among the generators. That is, we can translate the diffcult algebrogeometric properties of toric varieties into very simple properties about the combinatorics of cones in affine spaces over the reals.

  • The present paper establishes a necessary and sufficient condition for weak convergence for weighted sums of compactly uniformly integrable level-continuous fuzzy random variables as a generalization of weak laws of large numbers for sums of fuzzy random variables.

  • In this paper we study the strong law of large numbers for weighted average of pairwise negatively quadrant dependent random variables. This result extends that of Jamison et al.(Convergence of weight averages of independent random variables Z. Wahrsch. Verw Gebiete(1965) 4 40-44) to the negative quadrant dependence.

  • We in this paper study the almost sure convergence for asymptotically almost negatively associated(AANA) random variable sequences and obtain some new results which extend and improve the result of Jamison et al. (1965) and Marcinkiewicz-Zygumnd strong law types in the form given by Baum and Katz (1965), three-series theorem.

  • This work presents a deterministic channel that rules according to inverse a power propagation law. The proposed channel model allows us to derive the lower bound and upper bound of packet's capture probability in Rayleigh fading and shadowing cellular mobile system. According to these capture probabilities, we analyze the system performance in the case of finite stations and finite communicated coverage of a base station. We also adopted a dynamic backoff window size to discuss the robustness of IEEE 802.11 draft standard. Some suggestions and conclusions from numerical results are given to establish the more strong CSMA/CA protocol.

  • The mining industry of Japan had rapidly grown after the World War II with the economic growth. There existed more than 350 mines all over Japan in the 1960’s. The mines however had been closed one after another under the influence of the world and domestic economic events such as the mining-related pollution in Japan after the middle of the 60’s, the Oil Crisises in 73 and 79 and the Strong Yen in 85 (Fig. 1). • The Marcinkiewicz-Zygmund strong law of large numbers for conditionally independent and conditionally identically distributed random variables is an existing, but merely qualitative result. In this paper, for the more general cases where the conditional order of moment belongs to (0, ${\infty}$) instead of (0, 2), we derive results on convergence rates which are quantitative ones in the sense that they tell us how fast convergence is obtained. Furthermore, some conditional probability inequalities are of independent interest.
