  • In this paper, we show that for a semi-shift the analytic spectral subspace coincides with the algebraic spectral subspace. Using this result, we have the following result. Let T be a decomposable operator on a Banach space ${\mathcal{X}}$ and let S be a semi-shift on a Banach space ${\mathcal{Y}}$. Then every linear operator ${\theta}:{\mathcal{X}}{\rightarrow}{\mathcal{Y}}$ with $S{\theta}={\theta}T$ is necessarily continuous.

  • In this paper, we prove that asymptotically quasisimilar sub-decomposable operators have equal spectra and quasisimilar decomposable operators have equal spectra. Moreover, every subscalar operator is admissible.

  • In this paper, the authors investigate the structure of operators similar to normaloid and transloid operators. In particular, we characterize the interior of the set of operators similar to normaloid (transloid, respectively) operators. This gives a concise spectral condition to determine when an operator is similar to a normaloid or transloid operator. Also it is proved that any Hilbert space operator has a compact perturbation with transloid property. This is used to give a negative answer to a problem posed by W. Y. Lee, concerning Weyl's theorem.

  • In this paper, we present the reprentation of all operators B which are Drazin invertible and sharing the spectral projections at 0 with a given Drazin invertible operator A. Meanwhile, some related results for EP operators with closed range are obtained.

  • In this paper, we investigate the properties related to algebraic spectral subspaces and divisible subspaces of linear operators on a Banach space. In addition, using the concept of topological divisior of zero of a Banach algebra, we prove that the only closed divisible subspace of a bounded linear operator on a Banach space is trivial. We also give an example of a bounded linear operator on a Banach space with non-trivial divisible subspaces.

  • The Quaternionic Dirac operator proves instrumental in tackling various challenges within spectral geometry processing and shape analysis. This work involves the introduction of the quaternionic Dirac operator on a symplectic submanifold of an exact symplectic product manifold. The self adjointness of the symplectic quaternionic Dirac operator is observed. This operator is verified for spin ${\frac{1}{2}}$ particles. It factorizes the Hodge Laplace operator on the symplectic submanifold of an exact symplectic product manifold. For achieving this a new complex structure and an almost quaternionic structure are formulated on this exact symplectic product manifold.

  • In this paper we show that if T ∈ L(X) and S ∈ L(X) is a Riesz operator commuting with T and XS(F) ∈ Lat(S), where F = {0} or F ⊆ ℂ ⧵ {0} is closed then T|XS(F) and T|XT(F) + S|XS(F) share the local spectral properties such as SVEP, Dunford's property (C), Bishop's property (𝛽), decomopsition property (𝛿) and decomposability. As a corollary, if T ∈ L(X) and Q ∈ L(X) is a quasinilpotent operator commuting with T then T is Riesz if and only if T + Q is Riesz. We also study some spectral properties of Riesz operators acting on Banach spaces. We show that if T, S ∈ L(X) such that TS = ST, and Y ∈ Lat(S) is a hyperinvarinat subspace of X for which 𝜎(S|Y ) = {0} then 𝜎*(T|Y + S|Y ) = 𝜎*(T|Y ) for 𝜎* ∈ {𝜎, 𝜎loc, 𝜎sur, 𝜎ap}. Finally, we show that if T ∈ L(X) and S ∈ L(Y ) on the Banach spaces X and Y and T is similar to S then T is Riesz if and only if S is Riesz.

  • Algebraic spectral subspaces were introduced by Johnson and Sinclair via a transnite sequence of spaces. Laursen simplified the definition of algebraic spectral subspace. Algebraic spectral subspaces are useful in automatic continuity theory of intertwining linear operators on Banach spaces. In this paper, we characterize algebraic spectral subspaces of operators with finite ascent. From this characterization we show that if T is a generalized scalar operator, then T has finite ascent.
