  • Let G and H be compact connected Lie groups with biinvariant Riemannian metrics g and h respectively, ${\phi}$ a group isomorphism of G onto H, and $E:={\phi}^{-1}TH$ the induced bundle by $\phi$ over the base manifold G of the tangent bundle TH of H. Let ${\nabla}$ and $^H{\nabla}$ be the Levi-Civita connections for the metrics g and h respectively, $\tilde{\nabla}$ the induced connection by the map ${\phi}$ and $^H{\nabla}$. Then, a necessary and sufficient condition for $\tilde{\nabla}$ in the bundle (${\phi}^{-1}TH$, G, ${\pi}$) to be a Yang- Mills connection is the fact that the Levi-Civita connection ${\nabla}$ in the tangent bundle over (G, g) is a Yang- Mills connection. As an application, we get the following: Let ${\psi}$ be an automorphism of a compact connected semisimple Lie group G with the canonical metric g (the metric which is induced by the Killing form of the Lie algebra of G), ${\nabla}$ the Levi-Civita connection for g. Then, the induced connection $\tilde{\nabla}$, by ${\psi}$ and ${\nabla}$, is a Yang-Mills connection in the bundle (${\phi}^{-1}TH$, G, ${\pi}$) over the base manifold (G, g).

  • Let H and G be finite dimensional semisimple Hopf algebras and let A and B be left H and G-module algebras respectively. We use smash product algebras to show that 1) if A is right Artinian then $A^H$ is right Artinian, 2) $Soc\;V_A{\subset}Soc\;V_{A^H}$ and rad $V_A{\supset}\;radV_{A^H}$, 3) $K\;dim\;_BV_A=K\;dim\;_{B^G}V_{A^H}$.

  • Let ${\wp}_1$, ${\wp}_2$ be the radical classes of rings. Y. Lee and R. E. Propes have defined their sum by ${\wp}_1+{\wp}_2=\{R{\in}{\omega}:{\wp}_1(R)+{\wp}_2(R)=R\}$. They have shown that ${\wp}_1+{\wp}_2$ is not a radical class in general. In this paper, a few results of Lee and Propes are generalized and also new conditions are investigated under which this sum becomes a radical class.

  • The purpose of this paper is to prove the following result: Let A be a noncommutative semisimple Banach algebra. Suppose that $D:A{\rightarrow}A$, $G:A{\rightarrow}A$ are linear derivations such that [G(x), x]D(x) = D(x)[G(x), x] = 0, [D(x), G(x)] = 0 hold for all $x{\in}A$. In this case either D = 0 or G = 0.

  • In this paper we will show that if there exist derivations D, G on a n!-torsion free semi-prime ring R such that the mapping $D^2+G$ is n-commuting on R, then D and G are both commuting on R. And we shall give the algebraic conditions on a ring that a Jordan derivation is zero.

  • Let R be a ring. A right R-module M is PS-injective if every R-homomorphism $f:aR{\rightarrow}M$ for every principally small right ideal aR can be extended to $R{\rightarrow}M$. We investigate, in this paper, rings whose simple singular modules are PS-injective. New characterizations of semiprimitive rings and semisimple Artinian rings are given.

  • In this paper, let Q be the real quaternion algebra which consists of all quaternionic numbers, and let G be the Lie group of all automorphisms of the algebra Q. Assume that g is an arbitrary given left invariant Riemannian metric on the Lie group G. Then, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for an automorphism of the group G to be harmonic.
