  • In this paper, we introduce the notions of a distance function, Alexandrov topology and ⊖-upper (⊕-lower) approximation operator based on complete co-residuated lattices. Under various relations, we define (⊕, ⊖)-fuzzy rough set on complete co-residuated lattices. Moreover, we study their properties and give their examples.

  • The goal of automatic speech recognition is to study techniques and systems that enable agents such that computers and robots to accept speech input. However, this paper does not provide a concrete technology in speech recognition but propose a possible mathematical tools to be employed in that area. We introduce rough set theory and suggest the possibility of the rough set approach in phonetic distinctions.

  • This paper is devoted to establishing certain Lp bounds for the generalized parametric Marcinkiewicz integral operators associated to surfaces generated by polynomial compound mappings with rough kernels given by h ∈ ∆γ(ℝ+) and Ω ∈ Wℱβ(Sn-1) for some γ, β ∈ (1, ∞]. As applications, the corresponding results for the generalized parametric Marcinkiewicz integral operators related to the Littlewood-Paley g*λ functions and area integrals are also presented.

  • In this paper, we study the boundedness of the commutator Hb formed by the rough Hardy operator H and a locally integrable function b from homogeneous Herz spaces to homogeneous weak Herz spaces. In addition, the weak boundedness of Hb on central Morrey spaces is also established.

  • In general, Rough Set theory is used for classification, inference, and decision analysis of incomplete data by using approximation space concepts in information system. Information system can include quantitative attribute values which have interval characteristics, or incomplete data such as multiple or unknown(missing) data. These incomplete data cause the inconsistency in information system and decrease the classification ability in system using Rough Sets. In this paper, we present various types of incomplete data which may occur in information system and propose INcomplete information Processing System(INiPS) which converts incomplete information system into complete information system in using Rough Sets.

  • In this paper we will discuss a type of inductive learning called learning from examples, whose task is to induce general description of concepts from specific instances of these concepts. In many real life situations, however, new instances can be added to the set of instances. It is first proposed within the framework of rough set theory, for such cases, an algorithm to find minimal set of rules for decision tables without recalculation for overcall set of instances. The method of learning presented here is base don a rough set concept proposed by Pawlak[2][11]. It is shown an algorithm to find minimal set of rules using reduct change theorems giving criteria for minimum recalculation with an illustrative example. Finally, the proposed learning algorithm is applied to fuzzy system to learn sampled I/O data.

  • The rapid proliferation of wireless networks and mobile computing applications has changed the landscape of network security. Anomaly detection is a pattern recognition task whose goal is to report the occurrence of abnormal or unknown behavior in a given system being monitored. This paper presents an efficient rough set based anomaly detection method that can effectively identify a group of especially harmful internal attackers - masqueraders in cellular mobile networks. Our scheme uses the trace data of wireless application layer by a user as feature value. Based on this, the used pattern of a mobile's user can be captured by rough sets, and the abnormal behavior of the mobile can be also detected effectively by applying a roughness membership function with the age of the user profile. The performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated by using a simulation. Simulation results demonstrate that the anomalies are well detected by the proposed scheme that considers the age of user profiles.

  • This paper analyzes the subsurface stress at the spherical contact using Hamilton equation, and with that data, calculates the fatigue limit under the variations of friction coefficient using fatigue theory. After rough surface being made, this paper figures out the random load generated by contacting to the rough surface, analyzes the stress of its subsurface, and calculates the fatigue limit of the rough surface using fatigue theory. The three parts of the fatigue theory are applied, which are critical plane theory, stress invariant theory and mesoscopic theory.

  • The objective of this study was to develop a portable auger for handling rough rice in bulk. For this purpose, a system analysis was taken for the systems of harvesting, drying, storage and transportation of rough rice and an optimal handling capacity of portable auger was determined. Then a portable auger of which capacity is 9.2 $m^3/h$ (Indica type rough rice, 19.5%, w.b.) was designed and manufactured by design requirements and tested. Test results showed that the performance of portable auger developed satisfied most design requirements.

  • In the architectural design process, the selection and configuration of the structural system significantly affect the earthquake behaviours of the reinforced concrete buildings. The main purpose of this study, the effects on the earthquake performances and the rough construction cost of the buildings of the slab type in reinforced concrete buildings are to examine comparatively for different local soil classes. The results obtained from this study have been determined that the building model having slabs with beams is safer compared to other types of slabs, especially when considering the vertical bearing structural elements (columns). It also shows that other types of slab, except for slab with beams, reduce the earthquake performances of reinforced concrete buildings, increase the displacement values, 1st natural vibration period values and the cost of rough construction. This matter reveals that slab type is quite important and the preference of beamed slabs in reinforced concrete buildings to be constructed in earthquake zones would be more appropriate in terms of safety and cost.
