MATHEMATICAL MODELING FOR THE OBESITY DYNAMICS WITH PSYCHOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL FACTORS

  • We develop a mathematical model for the obesity dynamics to investigate the long term obesity trend with the consideration of psychological and social factors due to the increasing prevalence of obesity around the world. Many mathematical models for obesity dynamics adopted the modeling idea of infectious disease and treated overweight and obese people infectious and spreading obesity to normal weight. However, this modeling idea is not proper in obesity modeling because obesity is not an infectious disease. In fact, weight gain and loss are related to social interactions among different weight groups not only in the direction from overweight/obese to normal weight but also the other way around. Thus, we consider these aspects in our model and implement personal weight gain feature, a psychological factor such as body image dissatisfaction, and social interactions such as positive support on weight loss and negative criticism on weight status from various weight groups. We show that the equilibrium point with no normal weight population will be unstable and that an equilibrium point with positive normal weight population should have all other components positive. We conduct computer simulations on Korean demography data with our model and demonstrate the long term obesity trend of Korean male as an example of the use of our model.

조손가족 조모의 심리적 적응에 영향을 미치는 요인: Double ABCX 가족스트레스 모델을 기초로 (Factors Influencing the Psychological Adaptation of Grandmothers Raising Their Grandchildren)

  • This study was focused on investigating the factors of the psychological adaptation of grandmothers raising their grandchildren. The Double ABCX family stress model provided the theoretical basis for this study, and the major factors examined in the study included a pile-up of stressors, family resources and social support, appraisal of situation(redefinition of nurturing), and adaptation(depressive mood and happiness). Data were collected by personal interview with 213 grandmothers raising their grandchildren utilizing the questionnaire survey method. Structural equation modeling analyses were performed and the results showed that a pile-up of stressors, the family resources(i.e., contact and emotional solidarity with grandchildren's parents), and the redefinition of nurturing had significant influences on the psychological adaptation of grandmothers raising their grandchildren. It was also found that social support had indirect influence on grandmothers' psychological adaptation. The redefinition of nurturing had the greatest effect on the participants' psychological adaptation, followed by a pile-up stressor, and then the family resources.

스마트워크와 심리적 비분리가 연결되지 않을 권리 인식에 미치는 영향 : 의사소통 개방성과 성별의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Effect of Smart Working and Psychological Attachment from Work on Right to Disconnect : Focused on Moderating Effect of Open Communication and Gender)

  • Recently, office workers are increasingly aware of the right to disconnect because of the pressure from strong connections with Internet messengers. In this study, we examined the reason why the perception of the right to disconnect increases and how to deal with it. This research model is that smart working and psychological attachment from work affect right to disconnect, and that open communication and gender moderate the intensity of these effects. To verify this research model, survey questionnaires were distributed to workers in smart working environments, and 400 data were collected and analyzed using Smart-PLS. As results of data analysis, it was verified that smart working and psychological attachment from work had a significant influence on right to disconnect, that open communication group had a lesser effect of psychological attachment from work on right to disconnect than closed communication group, and that women had a lesser effect of psychological attachment from work on right to disconnect than men. Organizations need to maintain a desirable level of right to disconnect in order to improve the quality of working life. But, if it is impossible, They need to change the way of communication more openly so as to absorb the burden of strong connection by Internet. And they need to perform task assignment or stress relief policy reflecting gender characteristics.

교통사고의 심리적 비용 산정모형 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of an Estimation Model: The Psychological Cost of Traffic Accidents)

  • 본 논문에서는 교통사고로 인해 사고 피해자 및 그 가족이나 친지, 주변사람들이 느끼는 정신적 고통을 사회적비용으로 환산한 심리적비용에 대해 고찰하여 보았다. 선택실험방법, 직접질문법, 양분선택형방법 등 3가지 방법을 사용하여 설문설계를 하였으며 이들 설문 설계방법별로 각각의 모형을 구축하였다. 모형 구축 시에는 확률선택모형에서 가장 일반적으로 사용되는 로짓모형을 이용하였으며 직접질문법은 토빗모형을 이용하였다. 이들 모형을 검증한 결과 모형에 따라 차이는 있었으나 대부분 모형의 적합도 및 각 계수의 신뢰도가 95% 신뢰수준에서 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 심리적비용 산정모형으로 산출된 국내 도로교통사고의 심리적비용은 사상자 1인당 1,563만원으로 총 5조 1천억 원이며, 전체 교통사고비용의 37.1%를 점유하는 것으로 분석되었다.

중년 여성의 성역할 갈등과 심리적 웰빙 간의 관계: 적응유연성의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Relationship between Middle-aged Women's Gender Role Conflict and Psychological Well-being: Focused on Mediating Effect of Resilience)

  • 본 연구는 중년 여성의 성역할 갈등, 적응유연성 및 심리적 웰빙 간의 관계를 분석하고, 성역할 갈등과 심리적 웰빙 간의 관계를 적응유연성이 매개하는지를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 만 40-65세 중년 여성 302명을 대상으로 2021년 7월 28일부터 8월 5일까지 자료를 수집하였다. 이 연구를 위해 한국 중년 여성에게 특화된 성역할 갈등 척도, 적응유연성 내적 요인 척도 및 Ryff의 심리적 웰빙 척도를 사용하였다. 매개효과는 PROCESS Macro 3.5 모형 4로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 중년 여성의 성역할 갈등은 적응유연성 및 심리적 웰빙과 부적 상관이 있었다. 중년 여성의 적응유연성은 심리적 웰빙과 정적 상관이 있었다. 중년 여성의 심리적 웰빙에 대한 성역할 갈등의 직접효과와 적응유연성을 통한 간접효과 모두 통계적으로 유의하여 중년 여성의 적응유연성은 성역할 갈등과 심리적 웰빙 간의 관계를 부분적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다.

Enablers of the Adoption of Mobile Banking: From Economic-Psychological-Social Perspectives

  • With the proliferation of smart devices, mobile banking has become increasingly important. Customers can manage their banking needs without desktop computers or a face-to-face meeting with bank tellers. However, contrary to expectation of wide-spread use of mobile banking, several factors restrict its adoption. The purpose of this study is to explore what factors affect positively or negatively the adoption of mobile banking from economic (operational competence, convenience, mental accounting), psychological (hope, self-efficacy, optimism, resiliency) and social perspectives (normative social pressure, embarrassment avoidance). This paper suggests that three enablers would consequently affect a customer's perceived utilitarian and hedonic value in mobile banking, followed by trust and intention to use. In testing the hypothesized research model, survey and analysis of a structural equation model using Amos are conducted. The findings emphasize that banks need to focus on perceived utilitarian and hedonic values when considering economic, psychological and social enablers most salient to customers in order to promote greater adoption of mobile banking services.

간호사의 기본심리욕구와 심리적 소진 간의 관계: 긍정심리자본의 매개효과와 진성리더십의 조절된 매개효과 (Relationship between Basic Pychological Needs and Psychological Burnout of Nurse: Mediation Effect of Positive Psychological Capital and Moderated Mediation Effect of Authentic Leadership)

  • 본 연구는 간호사의 기본심리욕구, 긍정심리자본, 진성리더십과 심리적 소진 간의 관계를 알아보고, 기본심리욕구와 심리적 소진의 관계에서 긍정심리자본의 매개효과와 진성리더십의 조절된 매개효과를 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상자는 2020년 4월부터 2020년 6월까지 M시에 소재한 5개 종합병원 간호사 182명을 대상으로 하였으며 자료수집은 자기보고 설문지법을 사용하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS/WIN 23.0 Program과 SPSS PROCESS MACRO(모텔4번과 모텔 7번)을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 기본심리욕구는 심리적 소진에 부적영향을 주었으며, 기본심리욕구와 심리적 소진의 관계에서 긍정심리자본의 매개효과와 진성리더십의 조절된 매개효과가 있었다. 본 연구결과 간호사의 심리적 소진 감소를 위해서는 기본심리욕구 충족과 긍정심리자본의 향상이 필요하며, 관리자의 진성리더십이 요구되는 것으로 확인되었다. 그러므로 간호사의 심리적 소진 감소를 위해서는 간호사의 기본심리욕구와 긍정심리자본을 향상시킬 수 있는 전략개발과 간호관리자의 진성리더십 개발을 위한 리더십 프로그램개발이 필요하다.

조직정치지각이 직무소진에 미치는 영향에 있어 심리적 욕구 만족의 매개효과와 심리적 자본의 조절효과 연구 (The Impact of Employee's Perceptions of Organizational Politics and Burnout: Role of Psychological Need Satisfaction and Psychological Capital)

  • 조직정치지각은 직무요구에 있어 스트레스를 주는 요인으로 연구되어 왔으며 종업원들의 부정적 태도와 행동을 유발시킨다. 직무요구자원 모델에 의하면 소진은 높은 직무요구가 직무자원을 감소시켜 발생시키며 낮은 수준의 동기와 높은 수준의 냉소, 좌절을 이끈다. 현재까지는 조직정치지각과 소진에 환경과 조건에 대한 연구가 부족하다. 본 연구는 조직정치지각과 직무소진의 관계에 있어 욕구 만족의 매겨역할을 규명하고자 수행하였다. 그리고 조직정치지각과 욕구만족에 있어 심리적 자본의 조절효과를 검증하였다. 본 연구는 대한민국의 통신사와 전자제조회사 직원 220명을 대상으로 실시되었다. 분석결과, 조직정치지각과 직무소진에 있어 욕구만족은 매개역할을 하는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한, 조직정치와 욕구만족에 있어 심리적 자본이 조절역할을 하는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구결과는 조직정치지각과 소진에 있어서 욕구만족과 심리적 자본이 포함된 새로운 인과관계를 제시하고, 인사부서와 조직 리더들에게 실용적인 시각을 제시한다.

관상동맥질환자의 심질환 재발에 영향을 미치는 심리적 디스트레스에 대한 체계적 문헌고찰 (A Systematic Review of Psychological Distress as a Risk Factor for Recurrent Cardiac Events in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine whether psychological distress is an independent risk factor for recurrent cardiac events in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). Methods: A prospective cohort of studies that measured psychological distress and the incidence of recurrent cardiac events in the adult population were included. Three computerized databases were assessed (PubMed, CINAHL, and PSYCINFO). Meta-analysis was conducted using a random-effects model to determine summary estimates of risks of major recurrent cardiac events associated with each psychological distress. Of 506 publications identified, 33 met inclusion criteria, and 24 studies were used to estimate effect size of psychological distress on recurrent cardiac events. Results: Mean number in the research sample was 736 and mean time of follow-up was 4.0 years. Depression, anxiety, anger, and hostility as psychological factors were studied. According to estimation of effect size using random model effect, depression (OR=1.39, 95% CI: 1.22-1.57), anxiety (OR=1.22, 95% CI: 0.96-1.56), and anger/hostility (OR=1.29, 95% CI: 1.07-1.57) CAD patients in significantly increased risk for recurrent cardiac events. Conclusion: Finding suggests that psychological distress in forms of depression, anxiety, anger, and hostility impact unfavorably on recurrent cardiac events in CAD patients.

대기업 안전직 근로자의 직무재창조와 직무열의, 무형식학습, 사회적 지지 및 긍정심리자본의 구조적 관계 (The Structural Relationship among Job-crafting, Work Engagement, Informal Learning, Social Support and Positive Psychological Capital of Safety Workers in Large Corporations)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the structural relationship between job crafting and job enthusiasm, informal learning, social support, and positive psychological capital, and to investigate the effect of informal learning, social support, and positive psychological capital on job crafting through job enthusiasm. A survey was conducted on 451 safety workers at large domestic companies, and the collected data were analyzed for model suitability, influence relations between variables, and mediating effects with AMOS 23.0 using SPSS 23.0. Through research, we found five important results. First, the structural model of job crafting, job enthusiasm, informal learning, social support, and positive psychological capital properly explained the empirical data. Second, social support and positive psychological capital had a positive effect on job enthusiasm, but informal learning did not significantly affect job enthusiasm. Third, informal learning and positive psychological capital had a positive effect on job crafting, while social support did not significantly affect job crafting. Fourth, job enthusiasm had a positive effect on job crafting. Finally, job enthusiasm was found to mediate the relationship between social support and positive psychological capital and job crafting. These suggest that continuous environmental efforts and systematic management measures are needed to promote job crafting of safety workers so that informal learning, social support, positive psychological capital, and job enthusiasm can be expressed. Therefore, the necessity of developing various sub-factors of informal learning that can promote job crafting of safety workers was suggested as a follow-up study.
