PDMS를 이용한 균일한 알루미늄 표면 패터닝 연구 (Controllable Patterning of an Al Surface by a PDMS Stamp)

  • 본 연구에서는 균일하고 높은 비율의 에치 피트를 갖는 알루미늄 전극을 제작하기 위해 소프트 리소그래피를 이용하여 알루미늄 표면에 보호층을 형성하였다. 알루미늄 표면 위에 잘 정돈된 보호층을 형성하기 위해 다양한 방법을 시도하였으며, 보호층을 이용한 알루미늄 에칭과 보호층이 존재하지 않는 알루미늄 에칭을 비교 관찰하였다. 보호층을 이용하여 알루미늄 에칭을 진행하였을 때, 알루미늄 표면에 균일한 에칭 표면이 확인되었으나, 보호층이 존재하지 않았을 때는 불균일한 표면 에칭이 관찰되었다.

  • 기존 진단용 Digital X-ray Detector이 직접방식에서는 a-Se (Amorphous Selenium)이 대중화되었지만 고전압을 인가하여야한다는 점과 그로 인한 물질 자체의 Life time 감소 등 여러 단점들 때문에 기타 후보물질들로 HgI2, PbI2, PbO, CdTe, CdZnTe가 연구 되고 있다. 이러한 후보 물질들 중 본 연구에서는 PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition)방식을 이용하여 Polycrystalline CdTe 박막을 제작하고 특성 향상을 위해 유전물질을 Passive layer와 Protect layer로써 증착하였다. 또한 유전체층의 위치에 따른 특성 분석을 위해 제작된 박막은 FE-SEM (Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope), XRD (X-ray Diffraction)을 통해 구조적인 특성을 확인하였다. 그리고 입사되는 X-ray 선량에 의해 생성되는 전기적 특성을 분석하였다, 그 결과 박막의 Grain Size는 약 $5{\mu}M$이며 (111)방향의 주 peak를 띄는 Poly CdTe형태로 증착된 것을 확인하였다. 전기적인 신호 결과 Passive layer와 Protect layer를 증착한 박막 모두 Darkcurrent가 감소된 것을 확인하였다. 또한 Sensitivity 측정 결과 Passive layer를 삽입한 경우 신호 값이 감소하였으며 Protect layer를 삽입한 경우 신호 값의 변화가 일어나지 않았다. 그러므로 Protect layer를 등착한 박막의 경우 SNR이 현저히 높아지는 결과를 낳았다.

  • Chalcogenide phase change memory has high performance to be next generation memory, because it is a nonvolatile memory processing high programming speed, low programming voltage, high sensing margin, low consumption and long cycle duration. We have developed a sample of PRAM with thermal protected layer. We have investigated the phase transition behaviors in function of process factor including thermal protect layer. As a result, we have observed that set voltage and duration of protect layer are more improved than no protect layer.

Improvement of the permeation properties with a thin hybrid - passivation layer to apply the Large-sized Organic Display Devices

  • The hybrid thin-film (HTF) passivation layer composed of the UV curable acrylate layer and MS-31 (MgO:SiO2=3:1wt%) layer was adopted in organic light emitting diode (OLED) to protect organic light emitting materials from penetrations of oxygen and water vapors. The moisture resistance of the deposited HTF layer was measured by the water vapor transmission rate (WVTR). The results showed that the HTF layer possessed a very low WVTR value of lower than $0.007g/m^2$ per day at $37.8^{\circ}C$ and 100% RH. Therefore, the HTF on the OLED was found to be very effective in protect what from the penetrations of oxygen and moisture.

경사증착법을 이용한 PM-OLED용 무기박막형 보호층 연구 (Study on the MgO Passivated PM-OLED using the Tilt & Rotate Technique)

  • In this study, the MgO thin-film passivation layer was adopted to protect passive matrix organic light emitting diode(PMOLED) with the cathode separator from moisture and oxygen. Using the substrate rotate and tilt technique during the deposition, the organic and cathode layers were perfectly covered with MgO. And then, we analyzed the difference of the current-voltage and luminescence characteristics between passivated OLED of the MgO and non-passivated OLED. It was found that the number of dark spot generated from the degradated pixel was decreased owing to the Mgo thin-film passivation layer using the tilt & rotate technique. And the half-life time passivated OLED was improved two times more. Thus, the MgO could be vaccum-deposited under the low temperature and had a merit that the organic layer was not much affected. We can consider that MgO thin film passivation method can be adopted to protect the OLED from moisture and oxygen and can offer the enhancement of lifetime.

  • In order to protect cable from rat's biting, a development of rodent repellent is described. This cable has double coated sheath such as construction of skin layer over the conventional cable sheath. Stabilized rodent repellent agent which has good compatibility with PVC is employed in a skin layer. Rodent repellent layer has highly residual properties of agent through the manufacturing process, and meets the general requirements of cable sheath. Also, rat repellent effect is excellent.

Simulation and Design of Optimized Three-Layer Radiation Shielding to Protect Electronic Boards of Satellite Revolving in Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) Orbit against Proton Beams

  • The safety of electronic components used in aerospace systems against cosmic rays is one of the most important requirements in their design and construction (especially satellites). In this work, by calculating the dose caused by proton beams in geostationary Earth orbit (GEO) orbit using the MCNPX Monte Carlo code and the MULLASSIS code, the effect of different structures in the protection of cosmic rays has been evaluated. A multi-layer radiation shield composed of aluminum, water and polyethylene was designed and its performance was compared with shielding made of aluminum alone. The results show that the absorbed dose by the simulated protective layers has increased by 35.3% and 44.1% for two-layer (aluminum, polyethylene) and three-layer (aluminum, water, polyethylene) protection respectively, and it is effective in the protection of electronic components. In addition to that, by replacing the multi-layer shield instead of the conventional aluminum shield, the mass reduction percentage will be 38.88 and 39.69, respectively, for the two-layer and three-layer shield compared to the aluminum shield.

  • 고밀도집적을 위한 구리기둥주석범프(CPTB)의 제작공정에 흔히 전기도금과 무전해도금이 적용된다. CPTB는 약 $100{\mu}m$ 정도의 피치를 갖도록 먼저 구리도금 층을 전착시킨 다음, 구리의 산화 억제를 위하여 구리기둥 주위에 주석을 입혀 제작한다. 이 과정에서 구리도금 층 두께를 균일하게 형성하는 일은 매우 민감하고 어렵지만 중요한 일이다. 이를 위하여 구리도금 전극 사이에 전류분포 제어를 위한 절연 막(절연게이트)을 형성하여 도금 층의 두께분포를 조절하는 실험을 하였다. 원통형 도금 조에서 중심부를 열어 전류를 흘려주고, 그 외 부분은 가장자리 끝까지 막고 전류를 차단하여 두께분포 변화를 확인하였다.

유/무기 복합 박막을 이용한 유기발광 소자의 보호층에 관한 연구 (Study on the Hybrid Passivation layer of OLEDs using the Organic/Inorganic Thin Film)

  • The hybrid thin-film (HTF) passivation layer composed of the Ultra Violet (UV) curable acrylate layer and MS-31 (MgO:$SiO_2$=3:1wt%) layer was adopted in organic light emitting device (OLEO) to protect organic light emitting materials from penetrations of oxygen and water vapors. The results showed that the HTF layer possessed a very low WVTR value of lower than $0.007gm/m^{2+}day$ at $37.8^{\circ}C$ and 100% RH. This value was within the limited range of the sensitivity of WVTR measurements. And the lifetime of the HTF passivated device became almost three times longer than that of the bare device. The HTF on the OLEO was found to be very effective in protect what from the penetrations of oxygen and moisture.

낙동강 하류원수에 적합한 여과지의 여재구성 (The adaptive filter configuration for down stream of Naktong river)

  • This study was carried out to evaluate the variations of headloss rate and of specific deposit to depths with effective size of media and configuration of filter layer during algae blooming period. 0.51mm size media was disqualified because most of headloss occurred rapidly below 5cm from surface layer however 0.91mm size media acted deep filtration more than 20cm from top, as result 0.91mm sixte media filter had 2~3 times longer filtration time than 0.51mm sixte media filter, but 0.91mm size media have break-through potentiality. multi-layer filter with 1.02mm anthracite and 0.51mm sand had large deposit volume in upper layer that could longer filtration time, moreover smaller media in lower layer that could protect break-through.
