유아관찰기록척도(K-COR-II) 타당화 연구 (A Study for Validation of the Preschool Child Observation Record (COR) for Korean Children)

  • 본 연구는 루브릭 형태로 개발된 유아 평가 중 타당성과 신뢰성을 검증받은 미국 하이스코프 재단의 유아용 Child Observation Record-II를 국내 유아를 대상으로 사용할 수 있도록 타당화하여 유아관찰기록척도(K-COR-II)로 명명하는데 있다. 이를 위해 서울, 인천, 대전, 경기 및 충북에 소재한 8개 어린이집의 만 3세부터 만 6세 유아 255명과 담임교사 32명을 대상으로 2개월 이상의 관찰 후 K-COR-II를 사용하여 평정을 실시하였고, 공인타당도 확보를 위하여 K-CDI를 함께 실시하였다. 신뢰도와 문항양호도 검중 및 타당도 검증을 위해 상관분석과 탐색적, 확인적 요인분석 및 AVE와 개념신뢰도 지수를 산출하였다. 그 결과 K-COR-II 각 항목의 내용타당도는 높게 나타났으나, 판별타당도 분석 결과 하위영역 간의 차별성은 떨어지는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 확인적 요인분석과 AVE 및 개념신뢰도 지수 산출 검토 결과 집중타당도는 만족스러운 것으로 나타났으며, K-CDI를 이용한 공인타당도 결과 각 영역 간 상관은 통계적으로 유의미한 수준으로 나타났다. 관찰자간 신뢰도와 영역별 항목간 내적합치도 또한 만족스러운 수준으로 판단되어 신뢰도 또한 확보되었으며, 각 문항별로 상 하 집단 간의 유의한 평균 차이가 있는지를 알아본 결과, 문항변별도 또한 만족스러운 것으로 판단되었다. 이에 타당화된 K-COR-II가 유아교육 및 보육현장에서 유아의 발달 수준을 가늠하는데 활용가능한 신뢰롭고 타당한 도구로 판단되었다.

학령전기 아동을 위한 음주예방프로그램 개발 및 효과 (Development and Effects of a Drinking Prevention Program for Preschool Children)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of the program to promote drinking knowledge, attitudes, and coping behavior in preschool children. Methods: A quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design was conducted. The participants were 123 five year old children from G city. They were assigned to the experimental group (n=77) or the control group (n=46). A pretest and posttest were conducted to measure main variables. For the experimental group, the drinking prevention program was given for 6 weeks. Data were analyzed using ${\chi}^2$-test, t-test, and ANCOVA. Results: After the intervention, preschool children in the experimental group reported significant differences in drinking knowledge (F=9.25, p =.003), drinking attitudes (F=19.57, p<.001), and coping behavior (F=16.38, p<.001) compared to preschool children in the control group. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that a drinking prevention program for preschool children is effective in increasing drinking knowledge, attitudes, and coping behavior. This drinking prevention program is recommended as an effective intervention for preschool age children to postpone an early introduction to drinking.

어머니의 양육스트레스, 스마트미디어 방임적 중재 및 유아의 스마트미디어 과다사용의 구조적 관계 (Structural Relationships Among Maternal Parenting Stress, Neglectful Mediation of Smart Media, and Preschool Children's Over Use of Smart Media)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to confirm the structural relationship among maternal parenting stress, neglectful mediation of smart media and the over use of smart media in preschool children. Methods: Quantitative surveys were conducted to measure maternal parenting stress, smart media neglect mediation, and over use of smart media in preschool children. In addition, the mediating effect of maternal neglectful smart media mediation in maternal parenting stress and preschool children's over use of smart media was verified using the Amos 23.0 and SPSS 26.0 programs Results: Maternal parenting stress and mother's neglectful mediation of smart media had a direct effect on preschool children's over use of smart media. In addition, mother's neglectful mediation of smart media mediated the influence of the mother's parenting stress on preschooler children's over use of smart media. Conclusion/Implications: These findings emphasize the important role of maternal stress in preschool children's over use of smart media. And maternal competence such as supervision and limit setting is an important role in preschool children's use of smart media, so it is necessary to develop a practical and diverse parenting education program in order to reduce.

자기주도적 프로젝트 교사교육 콘텐츠 개발 탐색연구 : 유아교사의 프로젝트 실행과정을 중심으로 (A Study of Developing Key Contents for Self Directed Teacher Education Program with Project : Focused on Project-implementing)

  • This study aims to uncover what kinds of difficulties preschool teachers are now confronted with when they begin to implement project based learning with young children, in order to develop contents for teacher education programs. From July 2012 to February, 2013, 9 teachers participated in implementing projects in preschool classrooms. For data generation and interpretation, observations of class projects, tape-recordings of teacher conferences, and interviews with the teachers were made. The findings were as follows: teachers' uncertainty regarding project itself, teachers themselves, child competence, and its sustainableness were the most critical obstacle to hinder the teachers in implementing self directed projects with young children. The results imply that the teachers' belief in child competence in doing projects is of great significance; their view that it is very difficult for them to do projects without viewing young children a co-constructor of knowledge. Therefore, the key element in developing contents for teacher education programs should include a richer understanding of young children' competence.

유아의 의도적 통제와 작업기억이 정서조절에 미치는 영향 : 성의 조절효과 검증 (The Influences of Effortful Control and Working Memory on Emotion Regulation in Preschool Children : The Analysis of Moderating Effect of Child Sex)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between preschooler's sex, effortful control, working memory, and emotion regulation. The moderating effect of sex in the influences of effortful control and working memory on emotion regulation was also investigated. Eighty-eight children from the ages of 3 to 5 years participated in this study. A working memory task of the Korean Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children IV(K-WISC-IV; Kwak, Oh, & Kim, 2011) was administered to the children. Their parents completed a very short form of the Children's Behavior Questionnaire(Putnam & Rothbart, 2006) and Emotion Regulation Checklist(Shields & Cicchetti, 1997). The results indicated that effortful control significantly predicted emotion regulation. Additionally the moderating effect of sex on the relationship between working memory and emotion regulation was significant. Specifically, the influence of working memory on emotion regulation was significant only in boys, but not in girls. This result suggested that effortful control has an effect on emotion regulation in a stable manner whereas working memory has different effects on the influence of emotion regulation according to sex.

TV 시청 시간의 조정이 아동의 TV시청유형에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Adjustment of TV Watching Time on Children's TV Watching Patterns)

  • Two hundred and sixty-six mothers with preschool and primary school children filled out TV diaries for three days around the TV turning-off campaign day initiated by YMCA. TV diaries were designed to record the TV programs watched by family members as well as the focused child's activities every 15 min. 121 families participated in the campaign voluntarily and 145 families served as the control group. The campaign group watched less than the control group even before the campaign day and differed in several family backgrounds primarily due to the difference of family members' ages in both groups. Despite participating in the campaign, 53.9% of the families among the campaign group watched TV and 35.5% of the children in these families watched TV on the campaign day. TV watching time measured by the questionnaire was significantly higher than the estimates by diary method. Participating children in the campaign increased in activities such as reading, indoor play, as well as video watching. In the campaign group, TV watching time on the next day of the campaign increased slightly than the day before it. Preschool and primary school children's activities as well as the watched TV programs were analyzed separately for two groups. In addition, total TV on-time and coviewing patterns by the focused child with the family members were analyzed in relation to the child's other TV watching patterns as well as their related variables.

저소득층 부모가 지각한 부모효능감, 결혼만족도, 사회적지지와 지역사회환경의 질이 가정 중심 유아교육의 부모참여도에 미치는 영향 (Parental Efficacy, Marriage Satisfaction, Social Support and Neighborhood Context as Predictors of Parent Involvement in Low Income Preschool Children's Education)

  • This study examined the relationship between parental efficacy, marriage satisfaction, social support, neighborhood context, and parental involvement in preschool children's education in low income families. Total 460 low income parents' data about parental efficacy, marriage satisfaction, social support, neighborhood context, and parental involvement are collected from the data of index studies for Korean child and adolescent's development in 2009. Parental efficacy, marriage satisfaction, perceived social support and perceived neighborhood context correlated positively with parental involvement. Regression analysis detected different patterns of association between these variables and the three dimensions of parent involvement. Perceived neighborhood context was associated with child care involvement, while parental efficacy was the most influential factor related to child leisure involvement. Marriage satisfaction was the strongest factor influencing involvement in children's educational activity. These results support the validity of a multi-dimensional, ecological conceptualization of parent involvement in low income families.

어머니의 양육태도 및 언어통제유형과 유아의 또래 간 요구전략과의 관계 (Relationships between Maternal Child Rearing Attitude, Verbal Control Styles, and Children's Requstive Strategy)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the relationships between patterns of children's requestive strategies, mother's child rearing attitude, and verbal control style. Subjects consisted of 60 5-year-old children and their mothers at preschool in Seoul. The children's requesting behavior were observed during self-selected activities in preschool. A sample of mothers of children completed the questionnaire. The result showed that the children in this study were likely to use more frequent directives of requestive strategies. Boys tended to use more indirect requestive strategies, especially demand with requestive tag. Mothers were likely to use position-oriented verbal control. Warmth and self-control of parenting and person-oriented verbal control were positively related to indirect requestive strategy of children. Rejective and controlling parenting were negatively associated with indirect requestive strategy. Position-oriented verbal control was positively related to direct requestive strategy of children.

유아의 다중지능이 자기조절 능력에 미치는 영향 (The Relationship of the Preschool Children's Self Regulation Ability and Multiple Intelligences)

  • 본 연구는 성별과 연령에 따른 자기조절 능력 및 다중지능에서의 차이를 검증하고, 다중지능이 자기조절 능력에 미치는 영향을 살펴 향후 유아의 자기조절 능력 향상을 위한 프로그램개발에 도움을 주는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구의 목적을 위하여 유치원에 재원 중인 만 3, 4, 5세 유아의 어머니와 담임교사를 대상으로 자기조절 능력과 다중지능 설문지를 실시하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 연령과 성별에 따른 자기조절 능력의 차이를 살펴본 결과 성별과 연령에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 연령과 성별에 따른 다중지능의 차이를 살펴본 결과 공간지능, 언어지능에서 연령(5세, 4세>3세)과 성별(여아>남아)에서 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 논리 수학지능, 대인관계지능은 연령(5세, 4세>3세)에서만 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 다음으로 음악지능과 개인이해지능에서는 성별(여아>남아)에서만 유의한 차이가 나타났으나 신체 운동지능에서는 연령과 성별에서 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 유아 자기조절 능력과 다중지능간의 상관관계를 살펴본 결과 정적상관관계가 나타났으며 자기조절 능력에 대한 다중지능의 영향력을 살펴본 결과, 개인이해지능, 언어지능, 공간지능, 논리 수학지능 순으로 영향력이 높게 나타났다.

학령전기 아동 체중에 대한 어머니의 인식과 자기 체형만족도 및 식이관리방식 (Maternal Perception of Children's Weight, Maternal Body Shape Satisfaction, and Maternal Feeding Styles in Preschool-Aged Children)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the correlates of maternal perception (identification and satisfaction) of children's weight, maternal body shape satisfaction, and maternal feeding styles in Korean preschool-aged children. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was utilized. Participants consisted of 287 pairs of preschool-aged children (3-6 years) and their mothers. Data were analyzed by ${\chi}^2$-test, Fisher's exact test, ANOVA, and the Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: Among the 287 mothers, 47.7% underestimated their children's weight, while 15.7% overestimated it. 46.7% of the mothers wished their children weighed more, while 11.1% of them wished their children weighed less. The mean score of maternal body shape satisfaction was $83.75{\pm}28.77$. The mean score of parent-centered feeding styles was $2.95{\pm}0.54$, and the mean score of child-centered feeding styles was $3.33{\pm}0.42$. There were statistically significant correlations between maternal identification of children's weight and children's body mass index (BMI) (r=-.366, p<.001). In addition, there were statistically significant correlations between maternal satisfaction of children's weight and children's BMI (r=-.484, p<.001), maternal BMI (r=-.126, p=.033), and maternal body shape satisfaction (r=-.127, p=.031). Conclusion: The results of the study suggest that intervention programs for mothers to develop more accurate perception of their child's weight should be established.
