  • Polynomials with all the coefficients in {0, 1} and constant term 1 are called Newman polynomials, whereas polynomials with all the coefficients in {-1, 1} are called Littlewood polynomials. By exploiting an algorithm developed earlier, we determine the set of Littlewood polynomials of degree at most 12 which divide Newman polynomials. Moreover, we show that every Newman quadrinomial $X^a+X^b+X^c+1$, 15 > a > b > c > 0, has a Littlewood multiple of smallest possible degree which can be as large as 32765.

  • Dynamic behavior of flexural-torsional coupled vibration of rotating beams using the Rayleigh-Ritz method with orthogonal polynomials as basis functions is studied. Performance of various orthogonal polynomials is compared to each other in terms of their efficiency and accuracy in determining the required natural frequencies. Orthogonal polynomials and functions studied in the present work are: Legendre, Chebyshev, integrated Legendre, modified Duncan polynomials, the special trigonometric functions used in conjunction with Hermite cubics, and beam characteristic orthogonal polynomials. A total of 5 cases of beam boundary conditions and rotation are studied for their natural frequencies. The obtained natural frequencies and mode shapes are compared to those available in various references and the results for coupled flexural-torsional vibrations are especially compared to both previously available references and with those obtained using NASTRAN finite element package. Among all the examined orthogonal functions, Legendre orthogonal polynomials are the most efficient in overall CPU time, mainly because of ease in performing the integration required for determining the stiffness and mass matrices.

  • In this work, we deal with $q$-Genocchi numbers and polynomials. We derive not only new but also interesting properties of the $q$-Genocchi numbers and polynomials. Also, we give Cauchy-type integral formula of the $q$-Genocchi polynomials and derive distribution formula for the $q$-Genocchi polynomials. In the final part, we introduce a definition of $q$-Zeta-type function which is interpolation function of the $q$-Genocchi polynomials at negative integers which we express in the present paper.

  • Recently, the modified q-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials with weight ${\alpha}$ are introduced in [3]: In this paper we give some interesting p-adic integral representation on $\mathbb{Z}_p$ of the weighted q-Bernstein polynomials related to the modified q-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials with weight ${\alpha}$. From those integral representation on $\mathbb{Z}_p$ of the weighted q-Bernstein polynomials, we can derive some identities on the modified q-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials with weight ${\alpha}$.

  • Recently, T. Kim has introduced and analysed the q-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials with weight ${\alpha}$ cf.[7]. By the same motivaton, we also give some interesting properties of the q-Genocchi numbers and polynomials with weight ${\alpha}$. Also, we derive the q-extensions of zeta type functions with weight from the Mellin transformation of this generating function which interpolates the q-Genocchi polynomials with weight at negative integers.

  • In this paper, we define a q-analogue of the poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials which is generalization of the poly Bernoulli numbers and polynomials including q-polylogarithm function. We also give the relations between generalized poly-Bernoulli polynomials. We derive some relations that are connected with the Stirling numbers of second kind. By using special functions, we investigate some symmetric identities involving q-poly-Bernoulli polynomials.

  • Many mathematicians have studied various relations beween Euler number $E_n$, Bernoulli number $B_n$ and Genocchi number $G_n$ (see [1-18]). They have found numerous important applications in number theory. Howard, T.Agoh, S.-H.Rim have studied Genocchi numbers, Bernoulli numbers, Euler numbers and polynomials of these numbers [1,5,9,15]. T.Kim, M.Cenkci, C.S.Ryoo, L. Jang have studied the q-extension of Euler and Genocchi numbers and polynomials [6,8,10,11,14,17]. In this paper, our aim is introducing and investigating an extension term of generalized Euler polynomials. We also obtain some identities and relations involving the Euler numbers and the Euler polynomials, the Genocchi numbers and Genocchi polynomials.

We also give the relations between generalized poly-Euler polynomials. Furthermore, we introduce zeta fuctions of Arakawa-Kaneko type and talk their properties and the relation with q-analogue of poly-Euler polynomials.

  • The purpose of this paper is to construct a new family of the special numbers which are related to the Fubini type numbers and the other well-known special numbers such as the Apostol-Bernoulli numbers, the Frobenius-Euler numbers and the Stirling numbers. We investigate some fundamental properties of these numbers and polynomials. By using generating functions and their functional equations, we derive various formulas and relations related to these numbers and polynomials. In order to compute the values of these numbers and polynomials, we give their recurrence relations. We give combinatorial sums including the Fubini type numbers and the others. Moreover, we give remarks and observation on these numbers and polynomials.
