  • Seongri scholars of the Joseon Dynasty said that portraits were revered as academic teachers, and that the personal meaning was typical. Portraits in the latter phase of Joseon Dynasty have been popular in various contexts, especially in the sense of the texture, the religious church, and the ritual service. The etiquette and written aspects contained in portraits can point out the problems of contemporary society's individualism and attitudes through the expressive and personal approach to the art of painting. The purpose of education is to explore relationships with others, to coordinate myself with others, to have respect for others, and to change the inner workings of individuals. Through this, we can explore and explore personality education elements and find ways to achieve personality education through the exploration of figures using portraits as educational material, the process of making portraits, and the discovery of meaning. Therefore, for systematic appreciation, we are planning to set up an appreciation standard by proposing a 3-step review process applied to the 2015 revised education course.

Methods: Participants were 5-year-old children (N=125) from 11 child care centers. The experimental group included 29 boys and 24 girls enrolled in classrooms that implemented an unplugged activities curriculum over five weeks. The control group consisted of 38 boys and 34 girls. Data were analyzed using a t-test and analysis of covariance, and Hedges' g was used to measure effect size. Results: First, the participating children's mean scores on creative and social personalities were 3.20 and 3.53 on a 5-point Likert scale, respectively. Girls scored higher than boys in sensitivity-various interests and imagination-playfulness domains of creative personality and all three domains of social personality. Second, children in the experimental group showed improvement in all domains of social personality and the effect size was large. They also improved in three domains (openness-humor, imagination-playfulness, independency-immersion) of creative personality, although the effect size was small. Conclusion/Implications: The results imply that implementing a robotics curriculum with unplugged play activities in early childhood classrooms contributes to 5-year-old children's development of creative and social personalities.

However, 'Acting out' showed the lowest average score, and then 'Projection' followed by 'Denial'; (3) Based on the relationship between defense mechanism and four MBTI preference patterns, it can be drawn that students with the preference of 'Extraversion' usually use defense mechanism of 'Altruism', 'Sublimation', 'Distortion', 'Controlling', and 'Humor'. In comparison, students with the preference of 'Introversion' often use the defence mechanism of 'Evasion' and 'Projection'. Conclusion: The study results can be utilized in both fields of education and counseling: (1) in the field of education, this study can provide a basis for developing a suitable teaching method for each personality types of nursing students; (2) for counseling practitioners, the results of this study provide the useful insights to understand nursing college students' communication skills, behavior patterns, and ability of coping with problems in the process of counseling.
