  • In this paper, we consider the set of periodic shadowable points for homeomorphisms of a compact metric space, and we prove that this set satisfies some properties such as invariance and being a Gδ set. Then we investigate implication relations related to sets consisting of shadowable points, periodic shadowable points and uniformly expansive points, respectively. Assume that the set of periodic points and the set of periodic shadowable points of a homeomorphism on a compact metric space are dense in X. Then we show that a homeomorphism has the periodic shadowing property if and only if so is the restricted map to the set of periodic shadowable points. We also give some examples related to our results.

  • The aim of this paper is to introduce the notions of (quasi) weakly almost periodic point, measure center and minimal center of attraction of amenable group actions, explore the connections of levels of the orbit's topological structure of (quasi) weakly almost periodic points and study chaotic dynamics of transitive systems with full measure centers. Actually, we showed that weakly almost periodic points and quasiweakly almost periodic points have distinct orbit's topological structure and proved that there exists at least countable Li-Yorke pairs if the system contains a proper (quasi) weakly almost periodic point and that a transitive but not minimal system with a full measure center is strongly ergodically chaotic.

  • The system $$\dot{x}=(A+{\varepsilon}Q(t,{\varepsilon}))x+{\varepsilon}g(t,{\varepsilon})+h(x,t,{\varepsilon}),$$ where A is elliptic whose eigenvalues are not necessarily simple and $h$ is $\mathcal{O}(x^2)$. It is proved that, under suitable hypothesis of analyticity, for most values of the frequencies, the system is reducible.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concepts of (quasi-)weakly almost periodic point and minimal center of attraction for ℤd+-actions, explore the connections of levels of the topological structure the orbits of (quasi-)weakly almost periodic points and discuss the relations between (quasi-)weakly almost periodic point and minimal center of attraction. Especially, we investigate the chaotic dynamics near or inside the minimal center of attraction of a point in the cases of S-generic setting and non S-generic setting, respectively. Actually, we show that weakly almost periodic points and quasi-weakly almost periodic points have distinct topological structures of the orbits and we prove that if the minimal center of attraction of a point is non S-generic, then there exist certain Li-Yorke chaotic properties inside the involved minimal center of attraction and sensitivity near the involved minimal center of attraction; if the minimal center of attraction of a point is S-generic, then there exist stronger Li-Yorke chaotic (Auslander-Yorke chaotic) dynamics and sensitivity (ℵ0-sensitivity) in the involved minimal center of attraction.

  • In this paper, we show that for any continuous map $f$ of the circle $S^1$ to itself, (1) $x{\in}{\Omega}(f){\backslash}\overline{R(f)}$, then $x$ is not a turning point of $f$ and (2) if $P(f)$ is non-empty, then $R(f)$ is closed if and only if $AP(f)$ is closed.

  • In this paper we have examined the linear stability of triangular equilibrium points in the photogravitational restricted three body problem when both primaries are triaxial rigid bodies, the bigger one an oblate spheroid and source of radiation. The orbits about the Lagrangian equilibrium points are important for scientific investigation. A number of space missions have been completed and some are being proposed by various space agencies. We analyze the periodic motion in the neighbourhood of the Lagrangian equilibrium points as a function of the value of the mass parameter. Periodic orbits of an infinitesimal mass in the vicinity of the equilibrium points are studied analytically and numerically. The linear stability of triangular equilibrium points in the photogravitational restricted three body problem with Poynting-Robertson drag when both primaries are oblate spheroids has been examined by A. Kumar (2007). We have found the equations of motion and triangular equilibrium points for our problem. With the help of the characteristic equation we have discussed stability conditions. Finally, triangular equilibrium points are stable in the linear sense. It is further seen that the triangular points have long or short periodic elliptical orbits in the same range of ${\mu}$.

  • This note is concerned with some properties of fixed points and periodic points. First, we have constructed a generalized continuous function to give a proof for the fact that, as the reverse of the Sharkovsky theorem[16], for a given positive integer n, there exists a continuous function with a period-n point but no period-m points wherem is a predecessor of n in the Sharkovsky ordering. Also we show that the composition of two transcendental meromorphic functions, one of which has at least three poles, has infinitely many fixed points.

  • In this paper, we establish a multiple critical points theorem for a one-parameter family of non-smooth functionals. The obtained result is then exploited to prove a multiplicity result for a class of periodic eigenvalue problems driven by the p-Laplacian and with a non-smooth potential. Under suitable assumptions, we locate an open subinterval of the eigenvalue.
