  • Injected fuel pressure waves of a common rail injector with various current profiles supplied to the injecor were measured using Bosch method. In order to drive the common rail injector, the current in the solenoid should be controlled using what is known as a peak and hold pattern, which consists of a high current level with a short time duration (peak) in the first step and a low current level with a long time duration (hold) in the subsequent step. The current profile can be shaped by swithcing an injector driving power source with the peak and hold waves. The capture, compare and PWM (CCP) pin in the microprocessor was used to generate the combined peak and hold waves. The PWM square wave generated from the CCP pin has a duty ratio of 100% for the peak current and 10% or 30% for the hold pattern. Five patterns of the current profile were generated by combining the peak and hold wave. The common rail pressure is controlled at 75, 100, and 130 MPa. As the fuel rail pressure increases, the variations of the measured fuel injection pressure wave according to the current profiles decrease.

  • The effect of injector driving current pattern on fuel injection rate of solenoid diesel common rail injector was studied by computer simulation. The time resolved fuel injection rate and injected quantity per stroke of a common rail injector driven with the five current patterns were computer simulated. The fuel injection rate and injected quantity per stroke according to the rail pressure and fuel injection period were also computer simulated. When the common rail injector was driven with the five driving current patterns of peak & hold, there was no difference in the fuel injection rate in the peak section regardless of all the current patterns of the five cases. On the other hand, the magnitude of the hold current value influenced the injection rate and injected quantity per stroke. That is, in the current pattern of three cases where the hold current value is equal to or more than a constant value of the peak current value, the fuel injection rates for the given common rail rail pressure and injection period are same one another. On the other hand, the current pattern of the two cases, in which the hold current value is smaller than a certain value, there is a large fluctuation in the fuel injection rate.

  • The solenoid actuated hydrogen injector and the capacitive peak-hold type driving circuit were designed and made, and the hydrogen supply system for in-cylinder injection was constructed with these. The performance of the injector was investigated through measuring the pintle lift profiles and the injection quantities, and the performance of the hydrogen supply system was confirmed through the experiments at the single cylinder engine. The injection quantity increased linearly as the duration of driving signal increased. At the single cylinder engine, the hydrogen injector was operated stably. The hydrogen flow rate of the injector with the peak-hold type driving circuit could be controlled precisely at high engine speed or low load condition only with the variation of signal duration.

  • The performance of the solenoid actuated hydrogen injector and the capacitive peak-hold type driving circuit was predicted through the modeling of the injector and the driving circuit the modeling was composed of the driving circuit, the solenoid, the moving parts of the injector, and the hydrogen injection system. The performance of the injector through the modeling was compared with the results of the solenoid and injector rig tests, and those were consistent with each other. Through the prediction of the injector performance, the effects of the components such as electrical resistor, capacitor, and injector spring are easily known to the injector performance required.

  • A low-cost, high-performance 40 Gb/s clock recovery module using a phase-locked loop(PLL) for a 40 Gb/s optical receiver has been designed and implemented. It consists of a clock recovery circuit, a RF mixer and frequency discriminator for phase/frequency detection, a DR-VCO, a phase shifter, and a hold circuit. The recovered 40 GHz clock is synchronized with a stable 10 GHz DR-VCO. The clock stability and jitter characteristics of the implemented PLL-based clock recovery module has shown to significantly improve the performance of the conventional open-loop type clock recovery module with DR filter. The measured peak-to-peak RMS jitter is about 230 fs. When input signal is dropped, the 40 GHz clock is generated continuously by hold circuit. The implemented clock recovery module can be used as a low-cost and high-performance receiver module for 40 Gb/s commercial optical network.

  • 클락 유지 기능을 가지는 저가의 고성능 40 Gb/s 클락 복원기를 위상 고정 루프를 적용하여 설계 및 제작하였다. 클락 복원기는 클락 추출기, RF 믹서, 주파수 판별기, 위상 변환기, 클락 유지 회로로 구성되어 있다. 추출된 40 GHz 클락은 10 GHz 유전체 공진 발진기와 위상이 동기된다. 위상 고정 루프를 사용한 클락 복원기는 기존의 유전체 공진 필터를 사용한 개방형 클락 복원기에 비해 클락의 안정성과 지터 특성이 크게 향상되었다. 측정된 지터의 실효치는 230 fs였다. 또한 입력 신호가 끊어질 경우, 유지 회로에 의해 연속적인 클락 유지가 가능하였다.

  • We present the result of physical studies for three integral-type burnable absorbers of gadolinia, erbia and IFBA, in the hexagonal fuel assembly. The analysis of nuclear characteristics for gadolinia and IFBA cases shows that the spectrum hardening of hexagonal fuel assembly compared to rectangular one leads to smaller reactivity hold-down worth(RHW) and less change of MTC in the negative direction per insertion of one burnable absorber rod. Erbia case, on the other hand, exhibits reversed trend in RHW and MTC due to the enhanced absorption of large resonance of Erbium at 0.5 eV It turns out to be that Erbia performs best in terms of minimizing the peak pin power and maintaining as more negative MTC as practically attainable during the entire operational phase, and IFBA provides the least residual reactivity penalty at EOC. Therefore, we take Erbium as the suitable burnable absorber and provide optimal designs of 60, 120, 180, 240 and 300 erbia-shimmed hexagonal fuel assemblies with regard to minimizing the peak pin power.

  • 본 논문에서는 방사성 의약품의 자동합성장치에 사용되는 단채널 감마선 분광기를 보드 형태로 설계, 제작하고 그 특성을 측정 분석하였다. 감마선 검출을 위해 CZT (CdZnTe) spear 검출기를 이용하였고 아날로그 방식을 적용한 신호처리 보드의 형태로 감마선 분광기를 제작하였다. 측정을 위하여 방사성 물질인 Co-60을 시료로 사용하였으며, 최대 1173keV까지의 감마선 에너지 스펙트럼을 얻을 수 있었다. 아날로그 보드는 CZT spear 검출기에서 감마선을 검출하여 출력하는 신호를 적절히 변화시켜주기 위한 SF (shaping filter) 및 PHA (peak and hold amplifier)와 수치화된 감마선 신호 데이터를 계산하기 위한 ADC(analog to digital converter)와 FPGA (field programmable gate array)로 구성되었다.

애자의 소음 분석을 통한 애자 고장 탐지 가능성 연구 (A Study on Possibility of Detection of Insulators' Faults by Analyses of Radiation Noises from Insulators)

  • 애자는 송전선 시스템에서 전기적으로나 기계적으로 매우 중요한 소자이다. 송전선 시스템에 설치된 이후 애자의 열화 등에 의해 고장이 난 애자를 찾아내기 위해 애자로 부터의 방사 소음을 측정하여 분석하였다. 대상으로 한 제품은 2종류의 현수 애자, COS, 2종류의 Line Poster, 피뢰기이며, 이들 제품의 정상 상태와 고장 상태의 방사 소음을 각각 측정하여 시간 파형, 주파수 스펙트럼, 피크 검출의 결과를 서로 비교하여 그 차이점을 제시하였다. 또한, 이를 바탕으로 방사 소음으로부터 고장 상태의 애자의 검출의 가능성 및 그 방법을 제시하였다.

감포지역(甘浦地域) Ca-몬모릴로나이트의 열적(熱的) 및 광물학적(鑛物學的) 특성(特性) (Thermal and Mineralogical Characterization of Ca-Montmorillonite from Gampo Area)

  • 감포지역(甘浦地域)의 용동리에서 용동리응회암(龍洞里凝灰岩)내에 배태되는 Ca-몬모릴로나이트들은 비록 동일층준(同一層準)에서 산출(産出)되나 제한적(制限的)이지만 화학조성(化學組成)의 차이(差異)가 나타난다. 이들의 열적특성은 "비정상형(型)"으로 나타나며, 탈수와 관계된 흡열반응피크의 온도(溫度)는 사면체내의 Si를 치환한 Al의 양적비에 따라 약간변화된다. 이러한 사실은 제한적인 화학조성의 변화는 열적특성에 큰 영향을 미치지 못함을 지시한다. 시차주사열량 측정결과 2가의 양이온으로 치환 된 시료의 경우 1가의 양이온으로 치환된 시료보다 흡열용량이 증가되는 경향을 보이므로 시료내의 우세한 양이온의 종류를 예상할 수 있으며, 전기음성도가 큰 이온일수록 더 많은 물분자를 취(取)함을 알수있다.
