This paper deals with ordering policies for a multi-echelon distribution system. The system we are concerned consists of one Central Distribution Center(CDC) and N nonidentical Regional Distribution Centers(RDCs) which have different demand rates, minimum filtrates, leadtimes, etc. We develop an algorithm for determining the optimal ordering policies of the CDC and the RDCs under the constraints of minimum filtrates of RDCs and maximum allowable delay of CDC.

If a restriction is imposed only to a (proper) subset of parameters of interest, we call it a local restriction. Statistical inference under a local restriction in multinomial setting is studied. The maximum likelihood estimation under a local restriction and likelihood ratio tests for and against a local restriction are discussed. A real data is analyzed for illustrative purpose.

A partial ordering is developed among weakly positive quadrant dependent (WPQD) bivariate random vectors. This permits us to measure the degree of WPQD-ness and to compare pairs of WPQD random vectors. Some properties and closures under certain statistical operations are derived. An application is made to measures of dependence such as Kendall's $\tau$ and Spearman's $\rho$.

The ordering method is used to reduce the fill-ins in interior point methods. In ordering, the data structure plays an important role. In this paper, first, we compare the efficiency and the memory storage requirement of the quotient graph structure and the clique storage. Next, we propose a method of reducing the number of cliques and a data structure for clique storage. Finally, we apply a method of merging rows and absorbing cliques and show the experimental results.

In this paper, we introduced a new notion of conditionally weakly positive quadrant dependence(CWPQD) between two random variables and the partial ordering of CWPQD is developed to compare pairs of CWPQD random vectors. Some properties and closure under certain statistical operations are derived.

This study is to decide each level ordering policy for deterministic demand in multilevel distribution system. The ordering policy is used the combinations of EOQ and LTC. The combinations of EOQ and LTC are 4 cases. Case 1 : Regional Warehouse∼EOQ, Central Warehouse∼EOQ. Case 2 : Regional Warehouse∼EOQ, Central Warehouse∼LTC. Case 3 : Regional Warehouse∼LTC, Central Warehouse∼EOQ. Case4 : Regional Warehouse∼LTC, Central Warehouse∼LTC. The criterion is to minimize total cost per year.

Absolute Lorenz curve plays an important role for measuring absolute income inequality. Properties of absolute Lorenz curve are listed. Asymptotically distribution free and consistent tests have been proposed for comparing two absolute Lorenz curves in the whole interval [P1, P2] where 0 < P1 < P2 < 1. Absolute Lorenz ordering has been discussed for some distributions.

In this paper, we suggest the test statistic based on the total time on test (TTT-) transtorm for testing exponentiality against new better than used in convex ordering (NBUC) and its dual, new worse than used in convex ordering (NWUC). The validity of the test is examined by simulation for some alternative distributions when the sample size is n = 10 and n = 20.
